She gave an interview last year to Harry Smith where he asked her what the measure for success was for this record. She said she wanted a handful of people to understand her messages behind the songs and be inspired by them, knowing Madame X is not for everyone, neither is it background music. In that sense I believe she did achieve success. I mean she gave great messages with songs like I Rise, God Control, Killers etc. and quite a few reviewers and fans were happy to hear what she had to say. It's not quite the commercial record so half a million copies is decent. But I don't think she found justice by non fans and most fans never quite understood the production and the way the record was executed. It would be nice if at least the latter were to be achieved at some point. It's a futuristic record and she herself has said that she loves making robotic sounds that hold something humanly emotional in them. Maybe those robots are us that never pause to actually enjoy the simplicity of life. So yeah, Madame X I think deserved better justice amongst fans, as many dismiss it along with the rest of her latest work. It's her first not rushed record in forever, she meant everything she did in it and people should embrace it for exactly what it is.

I think it's a reference to "Bitch I'm Madonna", based on the coloured balloons on the video.

He's really talented. Another excellent work and I really like the Dr. Strange vibe!

You cant just put on Madame X in the background. You need to sit and pay attention to it.
There is a cool genius behind most of the tracks. It's left-of-center for a "pop" record and it sounds nothing like anything else out there. It's a challenging listen, but worth every note.

Yes! I stan this post so much! Madame X is such a great piece of work. It’s EASILY one of her best records. The production is INSANELY great and unique. I cannot get enough of it. I listen to it literally almost everyday since release. Still sounds so fresh. It is truly a global futuristic pop album, the first of its kind!

Madame X is greatly misunderstood in the fandom and even more so by the public. I wish people were more inclined to pay attention to what music is saying than just put trash on in the background when they do things. Madame X is something that needs to be listened to and examined. And it’s a treasure room when you take the time to do that!

lol. I think Madame X got its justice. It debuted at No. 1 - the singles that were released to the clubs did really well. She got great exposure from the Billboard awards, Medellin got great airplay on BBC Radio 2 (was even featured for a few weeks) - Crave received good Adult Contemporary airplay. All in all, I would say that's a pretty good outcome!

What would be your most favorite Madonna video costumes/looks? Try to keep it to THREE with some honorable mentions if you can.
So many good ones, but, mine would be her look in Nothing Really Matters (loved her red kimono and her Geisha look), Frozen (I loved her long black hair and dark haunting look, and Power Of Good-Bye (from her shoes to her dress, so beautiful).
Honorable mention: her apocalyptic costume and look in Ghosttown (I loved her long blonde hair with dark roots and her diamond Grills). I also loved all of her Madame X costumes for Medellin.

It's too bad the Met Gala was postponed. It would have been awesome to see how Katy Perry pulled off a Madonna inspired look even though her corset (seen below) isn't as awesome as any of Madonna's imo).
Katy Perry Shares a Photo of the Madonna-Inspired Look She Would Have Worn to the Met Gala
    Be still our fashionista hearts!
To celebrate what would have been Met Gala Monday, Katy Perry gave fans a sneak peek at the ensemble that she was planning to wear to fashion's biggest night out—and, it was going to pay homage to Madonna.
Taking to Instagram, the mom-to-be shared a picture of the corset that Jean Paul Gaultier had made for her 2020 Met Gala outfit, which featured a nod to the French designer's signature cone silhouette.
"what would have been... #TheMetBall2020," she wrote on Instagram, adding a broken heart emoji.
With the theme of this year's Met Gala set to be "About Time: Fashion and Duration," Perry's outfit was a tribute to the timelessness of the iconic creation that Madonna famously donned back in the ‘90s during her Blond Ambition World Tour. Unlike the "Material Girl" singer's original cone bra, Perry's Met Gala outfit was designed to accentuate her growing baby bump.
Gaultier created the cone bra back in 1983 and it has become one of his most famous designs. Inspired by 1950s bullet bras, the controversial corset first made its debut on the runway before finding its way to Madonna's tour wardrobe.
Kicking off her Blonde Ambition Tour in style, she wore the pink cone bra corset for the first stop in Chiba, Japan, creating one of her well-known looks. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait some time before we can see Perry's take on the cone bra.
In March, The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced that the Met Gala will be postponed indefinitely in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. "Due to the unavoidable and responsible decision by the Metropolitan Museum to close its doors, About Time, and the opening night gala, will not take place on the date scheduled," Anna Wintour said. "In the meantime, we will give you a preview of this extraordinary exhibition in our forthcoming May issue."
Stars like Julia Roberts, Mindy Kaling,Amanda Seyfriedand more got glammed up in their finest attire on social media to celebrate the first Monday of May.
Perry recently opened up about the struggles of being pregnant in the midst of the pandemic during a Facebook Live video for American Idol, telling fans that "being on lockdown has forced me to slow down." Weeks prior, a source close to the "California Gurls" singer, who is expecting a baby girl with Orlando Bloom, told E! News that Perry and Bloom are "taking things as they come one day at a time."
"They've had ups and downs like anyone else," the insider shared. "It's hard to be stuck at home and anxious about staying healthy. They were excited about their wedding and everything changed very quickly. They have had to adjust their lifestyle and everything they do. It hasn't been easy," adding, "It's been a little stressful for Katy being pregnant during this health crisis, but she feels very fortunate that they are healthy and that she can look forward to becoming a mom."
