also... just so we are clear... the cops are not afraid of false cries of police brutality... especially not 10 years ago.
take a look at all of these scared cops.

Get out of your lane and read a book.
Defund the police does not mean cancel the police. Please educate yourself before you want to step further.

Are you a Russian bot? If you don’t understand what something is, you really shouldn’t be shouting from a rooftop about it.
First of all the topic being discussed has NOTHING to do with Black Lives Matter. so I’m sorry to everyone for continuing this, but somethings just have to be done.
Second... anyone who takes a full two minutes out of their life and googles what BLM want... it isn’t to completely get rid of police. It is to make them less responsible for non violent crimes. They will still respond to violent crime. But there is no need for police with guns to respond to every single thing. The money they save will then be put into programs that help the community.
People of color are being shot because they were asleep in their car. Had someone WITHOUT a gun and a bad attitude responded to the call, this person would still be alive. George Floyd was suspected of using a counterfeit 20 Dollar Bill. That should not have been a death sentence. Eric Garner was selling loose cigarettes...
and last but not least, just because you are half Black or mixed or whatever you identify as, you can still be racist and/or dumb. Donald Trump isn’t a racist because he’s a Republican. He’s a racist because he’s openly said racist shit about Mexicans, made fun of the disabled, is constantly trying to strip away transgendered rights, calls Black Lives Matter protestors thugs and violent criminals, but calls white supremacists “very fine people” and white protestors with Assault Rifles angry patriots, or whatever the hell he said. Harassed Obama claiming he wasn’t American or was a Muslim... His entire campaign is run on fear. Saying racist shit about China. It’s the China flu... blah blah blah... Maybe it did come from there, but were the #1 country of Covid now... because of him and his dumb ass. We’re 6 months into a pandemic and he just YESTERDAY urged people to wear a mask for the first time. You should really consider stop watching Fox News and pull your fucking head out of your ass.

VogueMusic reacted to Bobo in Can someone please educate me on Madonna's alleged "satanism"?
Madonna is way too tame, vanilla and mainstream by comparison to be considered an occult artist. The notion itself is quite silly. It's not like she's Marilyn Manson, Led Zeppelin or death/doom metal and death rock bands that adorn their work with symbols, sigils and other references to the Dark Lord ?? Now go listen to Coven's 1969 album Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls and see if the horned beast gets your motor going ?️

You're right, not all his supporters are white supremacists, but they are all stupid as fuck.

VogueMusic reacted to Dusty in Can someone please educate me on Madonna's alleged "satanism"?
I wonder if it's more about her being a female who is in power and not ever backing down. Some people can't stand it. Some try hard to knock her from her pedestal, but she keeps forging ahead. So then people start making crazy things up, like convincing people she's part of some satanist occult.
This isn't new though. She's been accused of this for decades, but you are right she is far too tame for those with common sense to buy into this narrative.

VogueMusic reacted to kesiak in What other singer has this discography?
Forgive me, but Pet Shop Boys are the most overrated band under the sun (OK, maybe second most overrated, after Oasis). Neil Tennant's "singing" makes me want to self-harm and apart from "Rent" and "West End Girls" their singles haven't aged very well. I'd defy any average member of the public to name 5 of their songs, despite having 22 top 10 hits in UK. Madonna had 3 times the amount. Not even in the same league.

Thank you!!!
This needs to be repeated more often. Far too much revisionism going on in Madonna fan circles these days.

VogueMusic got a reaction from stevieweavie in Whitney on Madonna
Her words were not kind to Madonna in the 80s. Yes, she said those things...but there were also at a time when Clive and company were putting her out there as essentially the anti-Madonna - the good, Christian girl that was appropriate for everyone. As time went one, we quickly figured out that was pure image making, and the real Nippy was the furthest thing from a saint. Over time, she seemed to soften on Madonna and had much kinder things to say.
But I think it's important to remember (as there are many young fans now) that Madonna in those times was extremely polarizing. And that's an understatement. M could even get under the skin of the most liberal, especially post 90-95. A lot of folks who have come to love and understand Madonna over the years weren't all exactly on board so easily in those times.

VogueMusic reacted to Nahual in Whitney on Madonna
Whitney was always so enigmatic to me, because she would often praise some singers who had little singing talent, but then shade other singers that had considerable vocal talent. I remember her shading a certain popstar over her choice of outrageous clothing, which I thought was a bit uncalled for since the singer in question at least had the vocal talent to put on a good performance regardless of her outfits.
I dunno, Whitney seemed to flip-flop on certain subjects when it was convenient for her, and unfortunately we'll never really know her true feelings.

Michael and Prince in the top 12, but no Madonna.

VogueMusic got a reaction from Gâteau in Kevin Antunes destroyed Madonna's reputation as a Live Act.
Stuart was great at re-inventing her hits...but I was NO fan of his live musical direction. That 'canned' sound started with him. (Yep, I said it).
I'm going to disagree with most here, and say Kevin's work was actually quite good on Sticky & Sweet. The band sounded live and funky, and the arrangements and transitions were great. The downslide started with MDNAT and into RHT.
I don't hate Kevin's work entirely, he can be quite good with other artists...but it is time for a whole new band and new musical director.
The truly last LIVE band that was great through and through was The Girlie Show band, led by the phenomenal Michael Bearden.

VogueMusic got a reaction from Gâteau in Madonna's least favourite single of her career
The song I'm thinking of ain't even on the list.

VogueMusic got a reaction from Gâteau in Candy Shop? Not again. But how often?
I fucking LOVE Candy Shop. It's a fun, funky, little number that's always been a great jam live. I think it's the tongue-in-cheek, irreverent lyrics and the simple yet funky arrangement that fits Madonna's sensibility. I can see why she loves it so much.
And same for Human Nature. And let's face it, the song is basically her manifesto now. And rightfully so.
LOVE 'em.
