To expand on that, Cher actually wrote the whole second verse of Believe & wasn't credited.  Said so in an interview years ago.

Everybody is half Stephen Bray half Madonna. They worked out a deal in which, M was given solo writing credit for Everybody & Stephen was given solo writing credit for Ain't No Big Deal. Madonna's name alone appears on the credits for Physical Attraction when first filed in 1982 but when re-filed Reggie Lucas was the only name that appeared.

Not at all, but to analize her specific contribution. The fact that she recently complained with Guy Oseary about the songwriting camps ("where no one can sit still for more than 15 minutes") gives me hope that she wants to go back to a more personal way of writing songs.
I find that some of the songs that she gets unique writing credits, like Sidewalk talk and especially Gambler, are really really good!!

It's always been there - 1:03 same verse...when it was announced Madonna was picking up this demo 3 different ones leaked, two with just RaVaugh and one with Lil Wayne. Around 1:50 is unused lyrics that as far as I know Madonna didn't use.

The same reason why ‘Feels like Home’, ‘Last Night a DJ Saved My Life’, ‘Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit’, ‘Toop Toop’, ‘Doli Doli’ etc were included: To create versatility.
I would like to see more of ‘Rain’ instead of another artist’s song though. ‘Rain’ is my favorite Madonna song ever and it had not been performed live since The Girlie Show.

We can add Revolver.  She was given main writing credit & the demo w/ the demo singer's vocals that leaked sounds the same as her version word for word.
 

The leaked Ingrid demo for Justify My Love is a fake, tribute cover.
About 'Hold Tight' she re-wrote most of the lyrics and reworked the melody as those on the 'session singers' demos differ; the same happened to few other Diplo tracks like Living For Love.

This is such a fascinating thread to read. So many things that could've been that never were. I think Madonna should do an international tour of Tears Of A Clown and differentiate the setlist every night so that she'd be able to perform songs she's never performed live before or songs that only got the live treatment a handful of times. 

I still can't believe Nothing Really Matters has never made a tour.

Yes, BAT was originally called the Like A Prayer Word Tour.
 
I'm sure most people here have seen it, but for those who haven't here are some promotional posters and Pepsi cans (Pepsi were due to sponsor the tour before the controversy of the LAP video, but we all knew that ðŸ˜).
 

 

 

 
And wasn't there a rumour that the Re-Invention Tour was going to be called The Whore Of Babylon World Tour....? I seem to remember hearing that at the time.

This is correct.  I bought the CD the day it came out & it is right side up.  When the second printings went out a couple months later, it was upside down (so of course I had to buy that one too lol) 

You haven't provided facts, either. Photographs used in the initial press releases, etc. does not disprove that Warner made a mistake. If anything the fact that later pressings used the "upside down" version supports this. Also, considering that the font colors were messed up from the beginning further supports misprinting of the release.
In any event, I don't think we will ever know for sure, but something definitely happened.

A quick Google search turns up a lot of discussion about this, for instance from Pop Justice:
"As with most things in her career, Warner fucked it up. When she submitted the artwork for the album, the image was purposefully upside down, that is what she wanted, it's an image of her hanging off the bed. Warner assumed it was a mistake and flipped the image the right way up, M had a bitchfit and got it changed. So technically, any copy with the image the right way up is a misprint."
This isn't a p*ssing contest, but I don't think you're correct.

Although I love this album, this entire photoshoot is awful. I'd switch it to any of the Secret single covers.

I BELIEVE that the right side up was actually a mistake. I heard that when the album was being pressed they thought her face was supposed to be right side up but they were corrected that Madonna's face was supposed to be upside down. The pressings which followed were upside down. I haven't seen any recent pressings, but I think it's odd that they would be printing them right side up since that's not what M intended.

So he's legal now? 

Time doesn't give you a big booty like she has now.  Also, if its something that makes her happy, along with the augmented lips, then so be it. She's being who SHE wants to be.
