That's really what we have to be mindful of here. That song introduced Elvis to an entirely new generation.
Sure I'd love a Kate Bush Running Up That Hill moment where an original Madonna song became number one after 40 years but it aint gon happen. 
This remix is perfunctory but hopefully it will shine a light on the original more. The amount of old Rave and House songs i danced to in the early 90's that I never realised were sampled from old disco songs and funk songs from the 70's and early 80's. I thought they were all originals til you do the digging. 

I can't find the playlist on her Spotify Profile.  I've only been able to link to it from the link from here.  So possibly, they are still working it out. What's interesting is they added "Borderline", skipping "Holiday", "Burning Up" and "Lucky Star" (depending on where you live) were all released before hand.  But then again, "Borderline" was her first top 10, so maybe that is what they are banking on to hook people?  Who knows?  I say we give them to the end of the week to see what happens.
And does this mean the HD version of the video is coming? 

It's meant to have that old school, bootleg mash-up remix feel, I think. That's why it sounds a little bit "off".

Ok it’s February 2023 now, as an avid Madonna listener who has The Queens Remix in my heavy rotation Madonna playlist along with a dub and the original Vogue, I always know it’s The Queens Remix because the beautiful strings at the beginning sound fucking weird. I love the remix but the intro sounds messy. They’re like phased or garbled? Anyone know the proper term for this? Is it a studio effect? Just wanted to tack that on to this thread.
This thread makes me think about how fun this summer was, listening to this remix at the roller disco seeing all her friends arrive this summer at Central Park. Beyonce really gave us M fans a treat. Also I am so thankful we still have our beloved Infinity. ❤️

Bobs has done some controversial things in the past.  I'm so excited for Bob. When I lived in NYC, there was a weekly drag show called Saliva at The Ritz in Hell Kitchen. They would have pageants every so often. Before BOB went as BOB he went by MissKitten Withawhip.  He performed a blackface number. I was SHOCKED! I couldn't believe it was happening. But it was smart. He was making a commentary about being a black queer man as he is one. He lost that night (I think to a queen named Titania Steel?) and I very specifically remember the face he made. He was upset and stood there for a bit as the crowd partied on. So to see him go from losing this silly little pageant to then not only winning Rupauls Drag Race and working his ass off to tour with Madonna?! I had nothing to do with his success but I can't help but feel proud of him. I do wonder if he'll pull that blackface number for this show. With cancel culture the way it is...yikes. I don't think people would get the nuance of it and we don't need more people mad at Madonna.

So, the 40th anniversary of Burning Up's release is only 5 weeks away (March 9th). Has anyone heard any mumblings about something to tie in with that? A digital EP even? It was the last thing released before the debut album came out. Holiday came later. Emily, you still there hun?

There are songs about this recurring issue such as Like It or Not, Goodbye To Innocence, even Gone. I love these kinds of songs. I don’t think I look anything like I did 20 years ago but everyone says I look almost exactly the same in an almost creepy way. Today a stranger at a work event told me she was shocked I worked with my company for over ten years. I can’t imagine the pressure women face about these things and the unwanted unnecessary opinions of strangers, let alone the whole world dissecting your face like some kind of museum exhibit. And you all fucking know if she looked like old Mae Morabito at the end of League of their Own (I audibly gasped personally) the Daily Mail would be mapping wrinkles and calling her a permed shar pei in a tracksuit or whatever dumb easy cheap shot comparison they come up with meant to provoke and offend. I suppose this is all the double edged sword of provoking and offending, for the press and our Unapologetic Bitch.
