Oof. Talk about a dramatic love song. I love the slowed down "Who's That Girl"esque beat, and the lyrics are actually really good. I agree with it's placement, but it's a fantastic back catalogue song.

Ok, it's not the BEST song ever, but it's got a legacy, and that has to count for something. I personally am all about the lyrics, but the chipmunk voice I could go without. But hey, I can appreciate the good beat of the song. So close to cracking 100, yet so far.

I don't know if I liked the demo or final better, but I CAN say that this is about where it belongs. It's pretty good, but not THAT good. The prechoruses are quite delectable, and the country-pop is welcome on Madonna albums.

I was blown away by the love of this track. I thought everyone just ignored it, like a lesbian aunt. But when it comes down to it, the production is irresistible, and her rap is so bad it's cute and great, y'know? And I ALWAYS appreciate a good critique of American culture. A deceptively sexy song with a brassy composition, the lyrics actually describe pretty painful situation. I could see this doing well as a single, tbh. The piano line is really great, and her talk-singing isn't the center of the song, which is perfect.

The whole song is, actually. I'm a little sad this didn't make Top 100, but I'm also a little ok with this. The percussion is awesome, and the whispering in the chorus is just like a creeping fever you can't feel but you know is there, riling you up. Dayum.

This is a sweet love song, just guitar, a few fx, and a nice voice. It really has super nice lyrics, but there are much better love songs out there. It fits in with the rest of Music though, and the chorus is easily the best part.

I often find myself listening to this one and getting so swept up in it's joy that I won't even have realized that the song is over like that. I like the sad subject paired with the upbeat and positive instrumental. The lyrics have this interesting blend of scornful and glad that the relationship is over. Took me a while to listen to it all the way, but I'm glad I did.

I'm really conflicted about this song for two reasons. 1: The break in this one is SO much more fitting than the demos. 2: The second verse was cut. The copy/paste verse work lost it a point in my book, but as much as I wanted to give this a 10, I just couldn't get past that.

This is funky to the max. The kiss-off lyrics are pretty great, but it's when that second half of the song kicks in post-"I can do it better". That break is just so good! And it got an awesome tour performance, and got used to diss Gaga on the MDNA Tour. What more could you want?

Where's the party... ehm... sorry but I would never compare it to Cyndi masterpiece, which is so political, an hymn to feminism, pity it wasn't Madonna who wrote it. Party is just an album filler and it is acceptable that it's going.

At least this one got it's own release. Although I'm not a fan of the extended mix, this "single edit" is quite good. Not groundbreaking or anything, but it's good. A lot of the Madonna-isms (woke up from a fuzzy dream, etc) are in this song, which made it lose a point or two for me, but I think this could have ended up on Celebration, yo.

Of the six early release songs, this one was the weakest, imo. But I still like it. What it lacks in production strength, it makes up for in charm. The lyrical delivery from Madonna just deliver what the production itself was lacking, and I can't help but smile when the chorus comes on.

I think it's safe to assume this is no one's favorite off of COADF. It's kinda average, but the electro-rock things is cool. The lyrics are pretty funny too. It found a nice spot in the album's tracklist too, which was especially impressive.

This is really 80's. Like, REALLY 80's. But it's somehow better than the other 80's stuff? I think this is Madonna's first explicit "accept and express yourself" song, and this just sent her rolling on a fantastic subject while staying dancefloor friendly.

When I first listened to it, I didn't like it all that much. But it grew on me, and it would get stuck in my head when I didn't want it to, and before I knew it it was one of my favorite tracks. I blame the plucky guitar and Madonna's not-so-high vocals.

Everyone except for those who rated it a ten have been flagged and are to be banned immediately. I don't get why this isn't top 100? It's so beautiful and just super good? The guitar is so mellow and smooth, and the chorus is literally heaven on earth. I think what's best about this song is the sentimentality, really. And the interpolation in Mother & Father live? I nearly cried, it was so damn good.

I remember hearing this on the Something to Remember album and thinking it was original, but then I heard it on I'm Breathless and said to myself "Wow, this is miles ahead of everything else on here except for Vogue." It's really pretty and well-executed.

I didn't like the idea of Nas on paper (remember, the only demos I'd heard prior to release were Messiah,Rebel Heart, BIM, Addicted, S.E.X., and Unapologetic Bitch) so I was skeptical to listen to this. I loved the hip-hop production and the self-references (who doesn't love those?) and I ended up LOVING Nas's verse! But just his verse. I don't care for how he also shows up everywhere else in the song. But I feel this is the conjunction of the Rebel and the Heart.

This was the last COADF track I listened to, and it was well-worth the wait. I love just the whole ambiguous concept behind the song, I love the Middle Eastern vibe from it, and the featured male vocalist actually adds something really cool. R&B treats everybody nice, especially M. This was the perfect soft n' sexy for Bedtime Stories, and it's way hot. I don't know about it ending up on Something To Remember, but it was still a nice way to break the "vulgar sexy" of Erotica without breaking the Bedtime Stories formula.
