  1. Yeah, I've emailed Johann and a few admins just to be safe but doubt I'll get a response. I do have an email that I sent to Johann about the Broken vinyl that shows my membership date and status so hopefully it will be changed. Just strange as I used the resale for the rebel heart tour so not sure why it's changed since then.
  2. In my main page profile it says 'classic' member. I can't navigate that forum, it's just a blank page. I've emailed johann about this as I've always been a legacy member and used the pre-sale codes, had the MDNA tour poster, Broken 12" etc. I'm very confused.
  3. Anyone else been an ICON legacy member in the past and now a classic member? I've always used the ICON pre sale for tickets and had the perks of being a legacy member but now I'm listed as a classic member? I've contacted them for an explanation but doubt I'll hear anything. I've been a member since 1997.
  4. Just checked my icon profile... says 'Classic fan club member'... is this the same as legacy member??????
  5. I'm hoping less video screens this time and a more sets/props/minimal set up. Don't know about anyone else, but when she's on stage, I'm fixated on her, not the screens or dancers. Hopefully these shows will be more cabaret in style and keep the focus on her.
  6. I've not watched this, nor will I. I'm really enjoying the new era and refuse to let some 'bitter bettys' cast a shadow over it. Madonna brings me joy, I wonder whether any of those women bring people joy with their TV show...
  7. Such a shame it has pretty much dissolved. It was a great fan club back in the day.
  8. I'm glad she's trying something new and re-inventing her live shows. The only thing that will decide whether I go or not is the price. My days of spending my year's earnings on her and her merchandise are over.
  9. I think she has mentioned possibly doing a residency but I doubt she would do Vegas, something more original.
  10. I think it might have been the Sign 'O' The Times tour that was cancelled in 1987... they were planned at Wembley Stadium but were cancelled due to rain, no alternative was found unfortunately.
  11. The 'in the round' tour was Lovesexy in 1988. He came ons stage in a Thunderbird. Probably his best tour.
  12. Yeah, I was there too... Prince always gave you your moneys worth and then some! I paid £105 to see M in Manchester last time, upper tier at the side. This was the show where she was really late, had a go at the audience for booing and finished with 'Material Girl'. Once of the most disappointing nights of my life.
  13. I'm really enjoying it, up to episode 4 I think. A lot of the scenes are reminiscent of 'Paris is Burning' then I saw in the credits the Jenny Livingston is one of the produces/executives. I'll be interested to see how they incorporate Madonna into the storyline. Maybe it will be some characters complaining saying she's made voguing mainstream and others saying it's good to be recognised and part of popular culture worldwide. We shall see...
  14. Watch out Offer Nissim... we all know what happened to Junior Vasquez...
  15. The first Madonna album I ever bought... will always have a special place in my heart. The perfect pop album.
  16. It was remixed by Daniel Abraham so they will be an original demo/mix by Dallas Austin somewhere.
  17. Amazing, watched this on repeat when I was young.
  18. I feel Hard Candy is the most cohesive out of the 3, no endless track list variations or rather pointless bonus tracks and limited to 2 or 3 producers but the songs sound like someone else's to me.Chasing trends for the first time rather than creating them. The beginning of the end? 'Candy Shop' has become a favourite song of mine though... please don't hate me! MDNA I loved when I first heard it but now I struggle to listen to it all the way through... songs like Gimme All Your Luvin and Superstar... just too silly. I was disappointed in William Orbit's production, too poppy and generic EDM. I really do love the MDNA tour though. I voted Rebel Heart as I feel the songs were stronger and M focused more on the songwriting this time. I'm not massively impressed with the production of the album but I feel it has the most songs that I like. I love the album cover too.
  19. I listened to LAP (for the first time in quite a while tbh) on my flight home from Paris last night, when I heard the opening piano cords of 'Oh Father' I got goose bumps! Made me realise how powerful this album is.
  20. Just listening to it now... wow! The piano demo of 'Has To Be' is stunning! I think these demos really show M's talent as a vocalist and song writer.
  21. I see her career in stages also: 1982-88: Making her mark: brash pop star, simple, fun pop songs, lots of image changes, amazing videos and performances. Successful in every way. 1989-96: Groundbreaking: More edgy songs/videos and more controversy, less commercial than the 80s songs but more 'artistic' and interesting. Less popular but still successful and ahead of the game in terms of live performance, trends and videos. 1997-04: Songwriter: Mature artist, less 'showy' performances, more focus on the songwriting, singing and musicality. Taken seriously as a musical artist. 2004-06: Back to basics: Re-connection to her pop roots, less serious but still mature. 2008- Wilderness?: Back to simple pop songs, no real clear messages, less songwriting, few image changes, voice reverts back to pre-LAP 'pop' voice, struggle to find her place in the current music landscape, viewed as a trend-chaser...?
