In France we are already prepared, we know we will get them. The sad news is most of the time they are started by people those fires. They arrested a whole family 2 weeks ago on the gounds that they used to start forest fires, kids and parents together...

The reports say it will take weeks to extinguish everything because the fire burnt so hot it got into the earth. There's another raging in on the other side of the province. Firefighters from the states and south America even came up to assist

Yes, bushfires are devastating - I can still remember the devastating fires we had here in Australia in 2019 - I feel, we're headed that way again now that we are out of the wet cycle and back into the dry/hot cycle.

Thank you for the update. I kept checking if you had posted. The images on tv are very impessive. I'm glad you are safe but your community was hit hard and all those trees and the wildlife, it's heartbreaking. The firefighters are heroes.

@Chris still on standby. If we can get through tomorrow without evacuation we might be ok. Rain is forecast for 5 days starting Friday. It's all so nerve wrecking. 200 structures and homes destroyed so far. No casualties thank God
