Bat-Fan reacted to CYSMM in Blond Ambition and Re-Invention tours - who owns the rights?
Exactly. All of these are stories invented by fans to hope, expect and wait forever. Let's see the truth guys, she doesn't care and we won't get it from her... When she'll pass away maybe but M doesn't care of anniversary. She just post things on youtube or instagram to keep her fans alive. Every time the same stories...

I’m starting to think that M is not releasing this show just to spite us now - How long have fans been asking for this to be released? Probably since ciao Italia and the girlie show we’re released like 15 years ago or more - I don’t believe all this rights bollocks at all - at the end of the day it’s her music and she can damn well afford to pay off pioneer or whoever owns the rights to BA - it was released 30 years ago on laserdisc !!!! the same goes for the Re-Invention tour Paris footage - I find it hard to believe that show doesn’t exist in full too ?

She should listen to her fans, it's one of her most beloved concerts ever. For sure it would sell a lot, much more than any of her concerts that were released after it.

It was reported at the time (1990) and I was in the film/tv industry so it was noteworthy. I'm sure there is a source out there if you did some searching.
Here's some info on the HDTV system broadcast in Japan starting in the late 80s:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_sub-Nyquist_sampling_encoding
There was a short lived Japanese HD home video format called Muse Hi-Vision that had a few disc releases, but no Madonna titles.

Yes, this is what I was thinking about. They can use an AI Machine Learning software like this one to upscale them with much better quality than DVD or VHS. I’ve seen videos from video games on PlayStation 1 upscale to look very sharp and clear like it’s a modern video.

The Japanese BAT shows were filmed in early HD technology. Japan had an HD broadcast system much earlier than the rest of the world. It was an interlaced analog version equivalent to 1035i. If those recordings still exist, they could be converted and mastered to HD blu-ray. If the VT raw film still exists, that could be made into a very nice HD blu-ray.

I will get hate for this but as I have no fucks to give, I will say: I agree. MDNA and RHT did not need this over-editing. RHT is OK for me, but MDNA is such a disaster that, as much I truly try, I cannot get over that it is completely unwatchable. If any tour could benefit from rather extensive editing, it is MX tour. Why? Wasn't it an intimate tour, can't it be just shown as such? sure, but what works from seeing it live, does not always transfer well on film and in the case of MX tour, this is especially true. The intimate feel of MX was very special and a "had to be there" factor, to fully appreciate it; the intimacy, how unique it was. I do however strongly believe it could so easily look cheap on film, because this "speacial unique intimacy feel" cannot at all be transferred to a film. Do not forget, and it still amazes me how people don't seem to want to admit it, the Confession tour was very heavily edited, with several overlays of backdrops, slow-motion, all the gimmicky stuff that was on the other DVDs, only it was done MUCH MUCH better. It worked because it wasn´t so chaotic and without focus, but it was heavily edited for sure, also the vocals.. just done very well. MX could benefit from similar editing. An old school, BAT, GS type film for MX would not look good but, if it is in Madonna's hands, than it will be a disaster no matter how she edits it. But these "annoying special" effects, if done well, could elevate certain part of MXT. I believe editing MXT will be the most tricky tour to edit. But who knows what she will do with this footage...

I'd be content with some editing (the backdrops to make the moment feel there similar to Confessions) and especially during some performances like IDSIF, Batuka, Crave etc. But I do hope in the softer moments of the show it isn't messed with too much. Her voice in Sodade and others shouldn't be altered way too much because she nailed those performance. I don't mind some stylistic editing in her releases but MDNA and RHT to an extent was almost seizure inducing.

Who can blame her
What was actually a promising era video wise just went from average to atrocious by the end of it...

Honestly, no. Not realistically. I can't imagine any studio wanting to put out an upscaled concert sourced from a poor quality standard def source on a Blu-ray Disc. Blu-ray as a format generally carries the moniker of always being top quality, and by buying Blu-ray you expect the format standard of the main feature being genuine-HD. Unfortunately footage broadcast live on TV in those days was always SD, same with footage shot on videotape (ie JAPAN). So a Blu-ray release is incredibly unlikely and wholly not worthwhile for studio or consumer. You'll also notice (now I've said it), that all BAT footage besides Paris suffers from the crushing and bleeding of colour, and there's significant contrast issues on each broadcast. These issues mean that unfortunately the fine detail you'd expect on a HD upscale just isn't going to be present.
However, a BAT Nice, Barcelona or Yokohama Remastered DVD with a decent transfer would be very welcome. Very, very welcome, but without Paris, a Blu-ray isn't going to happen as it wouldn't be any better than a DVD.

It is a recompression of the well known in house dvd we all know.
Nothing more. Nothing less. Same compression artefacts and shit quality.

I must admit visually Sticky and Sweet was edited brilliantly, and the sound mix is actually incredible quality wise, it's just a shame it's not the actual concerts audio.
MDNA is the only one I can't abide visually or sound wise.

I suppose the only tour she's really done that's rammed with hits is Sticky, which is the closest we have ever gotten to a modern greatest hits tour...
What a show that was <3

Not totally on topic but this has to be the most boring intro she's ever done.

Bat-Fan reacted to Enrico in Madame X Tour DVD
You should have witness the reaction of a girl standing next to me, I think it was in Rome or Milan. She wanted to hear LAV so much, she got crazy when she heard the snippet before TUTR, when she heard the Waltz version she almost killed M for destroying the song. That version was definitely for die hard fans only.
