Ulisaax640 reacted to Bobo in What did you like most about about RIT?
After DWT, and especially since TGS, I never thought she'd perform Vogue, LAP or MG ever again. She seemed to disowning her own back catalog, so it came as a surprise.
The biggest surprise was The Beast Within, a song I was obsessed with so much since 1990. I loved the new musical arrangement SP came up with, although a lot of the verses were removed.
She looked stunning throughout but I don't think the hairnet and hat was a nice look. The LAP section was a letdown after waiting all those years to hear it live again. The beat sounded cheap and there wasn't proper bass. Guy Pratt played amazing bass on the original and they've never been able to duplicate or surpass it. BA's LAP will always be unbeatable but the RIT is so weak. It needed to be bombastic and groundshaking. It could've been much better.
I'm So Stupid would've been a great addition with the guitar riff from The Stooges. Holywood and Love Profusion needed to be on that tour.
Stand out moment; Mother and Father with Intervention.
Strange she dedicated Crazy for You to her fans seeing as she said she hated the song previously.

Ghosttown coz it didn't leak.

Joan of Arc (Ellen version) beautiful.

Ulisaax640 reacted to MagiC in Which Ballad from RH is your favorite and why?
Heartbreak City. It's epic. Great melody. Just wish she wouldn't swear in it. It's cheap talking.

Ulisaax640 reacted to Turuncan in Which Ballad from RH is your favorite and why?
‘Messiah’ absolutely. My favorite track on the album. It is so romantic and haunting.

I am surprised so many fans love Messiah. It has brilliant lyrics, but the music is so boring and so Evita-esque.

Ulisaax640 reacted to Fontainebleau in Which Ballad from RH is your favorite and why?
I love Messiah! it's got this little gothic touch that I love. I think it's the best ballad from the RH album. I love the lyrics and I love the melody. I don't care that much for ghosttown, I think it's too middle-of-the-road. The same goes for Wash All Over Me, which I think is a bit messy. As if Madonna couldn't decide between the song being a dance number or a ballad, so it's got a little bit of both and it doesn't work for me. Heartbreak City on the other hand, I do like. I know fans have much love for the track Joan of Arc, but to me it's just filler. The lyrics and melody don't work for me. So five stars for Messiah, four stars for Heartbreak City, two stars for Wash All Over Me, two stars as well for Ghottown and one star for Joan of Arc.
In the end it's all a matter of difference in taste and I'm glad Madonna's discography is so enormous that there really is something for everyone.

I mean I like it and its remixes; but for some reason Messiah stuck with me from the very first teases on Instagram because of the whole "I'll cast a spell" thinking it would be magic or something.
WAOM because of the demo and how it transformed from ballad, dance to the final version (though the volume is terrible) just one of my favorite tracks from RH. Would have loved a live performance during the song request but it didn't happen.
HBC because of the on/off again with my last ex. Truly expressed what I was feeling and hearing it beautifully mixed with "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" was a fan's dream minus the omission from the DVD/BR.
I also like Joan of Arc via the finalized demo version (Ellen version) that was set to be released but scrapped. Those three are just my top three but Ghosttown is great; giving me those Carpenter vibes.

Which means, “‘American Life’ is a very political album.” is a myth. Yeah, I said the same! -

If you say so I kind of 'see' where the video reference comes from
However, I also read Hollywood might have originated during the Music sessions.

Ulisaax640 reacted to RobbyXPeacock in Masterpiece a single?
It should have been the lead single, released in December. The single choices for MDNA were all wrong.
The official singles:
1. Give Me All Your Luvin'
2. Girl Gone Wild
3. Turn Up The Radio
Masterpiece was a promotional single in the UK released in April. Then there was also Superstar being a promotional single as well in Brazil.
my choice:
1. Masterpiece
2. Give Me All Your Luvin' (Promo only-buzz single for Superbowl)
3. I'm Addicted / Gang Bang
4. Girl Gone Wild
5. Love Spent

Probably Drowned World and Falling Free but both for different personal reasons :) x

Ulisaax640 reacted to Enrico in Which Madonna song has been most meaningful to you?
A song that I used to listen to before important events such as exams, concerts was Express Yourself: I took a lot of energy and encouragement from it, but I think it is common to many of us.
A song that came out in a very dark moment of my life, when I felt I couldn't do it, I was giving up, I felt lonely and desperate, is Hey You. It really felt like she was talking to me, like she knew what was going on. Every single word. I know It is not a fan favourite, but I can really say that it saved my life.
Hey, you, don't you give up
Its not so bad
There's still a chance for us
Hey, you, just be yourself
Don't be so shy
There's reasons why its hard

Ulisaax640 reacted to Turuncan in Which Ballad from RH is your favorite and why?
She definitely should do that. There have been many beautiful ballads since “Something to Remember” and also some that haven’t been included in it, like ‘Spanish Eyes’ and ‘Bad Girl’.

Ulisaax640 reacted to Mr. Peanutbutter Horseman in What song(s) would you like me to remix?
Can you do something with Ghosttown DJ Yiannis Strings? It sounds like such a throwaway thing. Maybe combine it with a different Ghosttown remix?

Ulisaax640 reacted to dylanlioncourt in Create your own madonna album
I honestly would want something like Veronica Electronica or something out there (a different take to her work, classics redone) or rarities. Anything already officially released (unless songs that haven't appeared on a record of hers) can be found online or through streaming platforms. If it's new songs, demos, or even shelved material, newly commissioned remixes I would. Similar to "You Can Dance" or Britney's "B In The Mixes" series.

Wash All Over Me (if only the mastering/mixing wasn't crap; it's way too low)
HeartBreakCity
Messiah
