Between casual and stan. To be honest I only care about her music and albums. It's so unique and that's why I consider myself a fan, but just of her music. Her movies, endeavors,  etc I can care less about. Her personality (or at least public persona) I can barely stand and don't think I can get along with her lol! Her .music us where she knows how to express herself!

I'm a total fan, but, I'm not sure I'm a stan/fanatic fan as it's not a must for me to have every single thing she puts out. Same with her concerts and shows, remixes, etc etc. I also don't agree with her on everything, but, I love her dearly!   GREAT QUESTION and Poll @Blue Skies!

My story from the last seven years is rocky and very troubled. It started really before seven years when my Dad got his first job since my birth. After work, him and friends would go to the bar. One of his female coworkers slipped things in his drinks and had sex with him. Eventually...it didn't take drugging and he entered a sober affair. Mom found out and there was constant fighting. I was only 5 at the time and I would listen to my parents fight all night. Dad eventually left for three days but came back for my sake. It was quiet for a year. Then one day, Dad passed out on the couch. They rushed him to the ER and he died twice but they shocked his heart back. The hospital ended making a critical mistake causing him to lose his right leg. He was in the hospital and rehabilitation center for a total of 18 months. I saw him 4 times over the course of that time. Little did I know, the father I really grew up to know died in the hospital and was replaced by the man who lives here now. He came home and naturally there was a lot of pain medications for everything. He became addicted to the meds. He is a drug addict now...addicted to those meds. He has repeatedly chosen the meds over us. He and Mom argue more often and violent then ever now. Dad has hit Mom. Dad has come at Mom with a knife. I have suffered strong emotional abuse from him. And it has led me to intense depression. I have became more and more depressed. I self harmed a few times and...I contemplated suicide so much last year. Tried it last year.  I am terrified of losing people. I honestly feel like a burden to people.

The song Oh Father just showed me that someone understood missing love from a parent. That there was someone out there who felt this way to. The song feels like it spoke to me, like it was saying "You are going to be okay. It'll be okay." It stopped me from suicide. I love this song.

I know that this is pretty stupid and a dumb reason to love a song, but it is so special to me.

    Love you all!!

VanP92 reacted to Andymad in What did you like most about about RIT?
So many feelings. RIT was my very first Madonna concert. And I remember first hearing the INTO THE GROOVE bridge from rehearsals on LA morning news... it got me. I was so excited. And I was a member way back with the original Madonna Fanzine, a recording of opening night was posted the next day... and Vogue happened. I became obsessed. The tour came to Toronto, and I was front row. She came out from under the stage on that platform... and I was frozen. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t scream or clap. I just stood there with tears streaming down my face. I was 19, and a Madonna fan since 3... this was my moment. I cried. I fucking sobbed. At 33 now, I can’t say I’ve ever had a moment in my life apart from that, that I sobbed from happiness and joy. My first thought was, my god she’s tiny. That was the best, absolute best night of my life.

ALSO, I've noticed, in the sound edit of Express Yourself after she sings "oh baby ready or not" there's no "HOO" like in every single show. Makes me wonder how much they edited it. That performance is completely using the album vocals. In the workprint you hear the HOO, not in the final version. Small difference but it's always bothered me lol

I love this concert, so many little touches that make it extra, like the frizzy hair, when she forgets the lyrics and swears like a sailor, won't forgive them for putting the credits over Keep It Together, how dare they ruin the intricate choreography with big letters across the screen

    Re-invention Tour Toronto -
M spoke before Crazy For You, I think it may be on YouTube... sniffing and going “aaaaahh good ol Canadian Air” - meaning it’s smelled like pot LOL. I know the girls behind me smoked up a few times during the opening and throughout the show. She also said she didn’t want to leave, that we should stage a protest “We could stay here all night and I could do ALL of my songs!” “And they can TRY to arrest me again!” I think that was her last show in Toronto

She also fell pretty bad in the catwalk during Music. All I remember hearing were gasps.
    Such a memory.

First time seeing Madonna in my life was at the MDNA Tour in Istanbul, Turkey - June 7th, 2012. I got early entry tickets, won two Golden Triangle wrist bands for my mom and me, at the show, my father and two brothers won the lottery with 3 bands into the Golden Triangle. We entered early and Madonna was still on stage after soundcheck, and everyone was screaming and she wasn't paying any attention, then they went silence for a second and I screamed MAAADOOOOOONNAAAA and she turns around at me and says "SSHHHHHHHH!" and the crowd went crazy, and then she proceeded to walk on the runways to check the screens and played Turn Up The Radio for us while we sang along and took distant selfies.
Shortly afterwards, she went inside and Guy Oseary came to the triangle triangle and we took photos with, then Offer Nissim did the opening act.
Later when the show started at 10:15 PM, it was epic. During Open Your Heart, people were sort of scattered in the triangle but they were away from the right side of the stage, and for some reason I was so close to the main stage on the right side, and I was extended my hand, then she sang "I think that you're afraid to look in my eyes" pointing at me and walking towards me, and then she sat on her knee and held my hand singing "you look a little sad boy I, I wonder why" and then moved forward. It felt so otherworldly, so heavenly, so dreamy and so damn personal, because it wasn't just a random touch among many, it's like she targeted me among everyone else and walked towards me. I still can't believe that happened. Then later when Rocco came on stage, she came back again to the same spot and she was dancing with him in front of me looking at me and I started crying when reality finally set in that what happened just happened.
Later she flashed her nipples for the very first time during Human Nature and the next morning every newspaper was talking about her. If that isn't an extraordinary experience, I don't know what is, and I'm eternally and immeasurably grateful for it.

Blond ambition tour in Paris, somebody jumped on the crane holding the camera filming what was going to be "Truth or dare" that was in the middle of the venue, she yelled at him in french "Don't touch the camera, touch my pussy instead" (touche pas la caméra mais touche ma chatte). I was 10 and with my mum, we had a good laugh about it.

I only saw her in the first Argentinian date on the MDNA Tour, she was 4 hours late (which isn't unusual let's be honest lol) but she had a terrible fever and kept saying how sorry she was. I believe she lipped way more that night because she sounded way better than usual.

Yes I was at that show, great night! When she was giving the MLK speech somebody yelled out telling her to "just sing your song" and she confronted them. She also told a great story about when she was trying to get funding for her film (I Am Because We Are I think) and she said some woman in the biz told her "You either need to decide whether you're an artist or an activist" and her response was "IT'S THE SAME FUCKING THING."

I was at the last MDNAT show and the power went out midway through Sagarra Jo. She tried performing Holiday acapella witht the crowd but even with a megaphone noone could hear her so she gave up and left the stage. 40 minutes later the show started again with Vogue (No JML interlude) and it felt like the second coming.

"So why do you have the eyepatch can I try it on?"
"Madame X doesn't share her eyepatch."
"Okay, so who is Madame X? Is she a pirate? Is she Captain Hook? His sister?"
"Madame X is all of those things. She isn't limited to one thing or one person. She's everyone."
"So I, Ruby Wax, am Madame X?"
"You can be. You just gotta change your shoes."
    "What's wrong with my shoes?"
"They're too boring. Madame X is exciting."
"Is she a shoes salesman at Foot Locker?"
"She's more of a Rack Room kind of girl."
"Okay back to the show, are you excited to release it finally?"
"It's not done yet, we're still editing as we speak."
"It's been two years though, don't you think the fans should see the show already?"
"If they were my fans, they would have gone when I was on tour the first time."
"But maybe, they had other things, couldn't travel, maybe you weren't near their town?"
"And how is that my problem? Madame X traveled the world fine, changed her identity, put on shows with injury."
"But you have money and resources."
"Well I worked hard, I expect my fans to as well. No excuses."
    "So when it's coming?"
"When I want it to come."

It's always puzzled me until I read an article that said Secret was about hope and believing in a better future. People tend to equate money with happiness yet when she was broke and living in some of the most deprived areas of New York people were able to still find happiness. And the secret to that happiness was hope.
I'm not sure if that makes sense but it does tie in with the video.
