the prices are justified cuz she puts on a legendary show. Maybe she will use the same mind blowing technology (encoded reality, holograms etc) that she used during the bbmas.. that technology cannot work on big venues I think.
I'm very happy that she's doing something different and unique. The RHT tour proved that arenas are not meant for Madonna cuz the production of the show is too much lowered down.
Finally, just a reminder that an Iphone costs more than 500$..it is just about priorities you know.

OMG theater??? Fuck yeah, that would be so interesting and innovative!!! I love the idea of theaters because you can achieve really a wonderful level of intimacy and the quality of sound is even better than arenas!
Obviously the tickets will be very expensive, but rightfully so. I believe that if you wanna see Madonna close you either got to fight and queue for it or you got to pay a lot.
Madonna is not an arena act and it is fucking humiliating to see Madonna perform in arenas cuz she gives her best in a stadium production tour when she rehearse much more and the budget is higher. Lets face it, there is not great intimacy in an arena and whoever wants Madonna to become an ordinary arena act is trying to tarnish her legendary legacy.
I'm so glad that Madonna keeps doing what she wants to and the theater is a great reinvention! I'm sure she will deliver mind-blowing theatrics...I mean just look at the poster
That being said, it is very luckily that in the future she will do again a stadium greatest hits tour...but for now let her experimenting something new

For me the crowd of RHT was a worse nightmare: everyone was too excited to see Madonna so close that everyone was busy recording the show with the phone instead of enjoying the show. I wanted to jump and enjoy the show and I got to argue with everyone cuz I was ruining their recording.
On the other hand when I went to the stadium tours like the legendary S&S tour, the crowd was much more on te same page..I could feel the magic and energy of all the crowd dancing and jumping together. On top of that, it feels very empowering to see a stadium fully filled with Madonna fans.
Not to mention that the production, stage design and choreography of Madonna stadium tours like the MDNA and S&S are more elaborated and mind-blowing. I mean, no offence to the RHT but it was the less entertaining tour that she ever done imo.

Sure, but in a stadium you are not that close to the stage so you cannot record  the show very well. That is why a stadium crowd is more energetic and into the dancing/jumping. You can even make really cool stadium waves with the adience
Also, I prefer open spaces cuz I'm a smoker and I feel a bit caged inside an arena xD

As long as it will be a STADIUM tour, then it will be epic and I'll be happy. The truth is that a stadium tour requires more effort and a bigger budget.  Bigger budget=better show.

I see that Rihanna updated her sales, I wonder if Madonna does the same
I'm pretty sure that Madonna sold more than 300M units at this point.
Anyway, Rihanna still needs at least 50M more to outsell the un-updated Madonna so it will take Rihanna many years and I wouldn't be surprised at all if she starts fading away.
Said that, Wikipedia list is very inaccurate and does not reflect the real commercial success of an artist. You simply cannot define a unit sale that is the same for all format and types of sales. I mean, a digital track sale should be weighted differently from a physical album sale.
That is why experts have start making more meaningful lists and as far as I know the most reliable list available is the one on chartmasters that uses the CSPC method. If you take a look at it, you'll realize that Rihanna is nowhere near the success of legendary artists:

Said that, Wikipedia list is very inaccurate and does not reflect the real commercial success of an artist. You simply cannot define a unit sale that is the same for all format and types of sales. I mean, a digital track sale should be weighted differently from a physical album sale.
That is why experts have start making more meaningful lists and as far as I know the most reliable list available is the one on chartmasters that uses the CSPC method. If you take a look at it, you'll realize that Rihanna is nowhere near the success of legendary artists:

American Life has a killer hook and it's very catchy. LFL is bit pretentious both in the lyrics and instrumental imo
