If she's smiling it's because it's finally over!

    With Malik too maybe  :devil::devil:

From the look on his face he knows it too

I dont think she's happy that the tour is nearly over. The stage gives her life. But defo this time it's different, with the injury.

An interesting report that I read the other day which briefly mentions M and which reflects some of my thoughts on the issue... I think very soon there will come a time when mature artists - including M - wonder if the whole hassle and logistics of moving a show around the world is worth it...

Once again this is very ageist...even a 20 year old would have been in pain from a knee injury!

    Tonight was beyond epic!

I was at the very front. Recorded the audio on my phone for you all! Not sure what the quality is like but should be ok as it’s an iPhone 11 Pro!

    Please share lol

Beer bitch was miss fame - was a nice interaction with miss fame being very thankful about being there and seeing the show - madonna telling her that fame looked more glamorous than her so she wanted to run away from being next to her

madonna’s first comment was “let’s not pretend I don’t know who you are, so what should I call you?”

then a little banter about whether it was fame or Curtis? Was she enjoying the show, was very pleasant and great interaction on both sides - she said that her team all wanted to go home to bed so were pointing at their watches for her to get on with the show to which fame replied well you can sing as much as you want as long as you want

few people in were shouting out (in French) for them to not speak in English and speak in French

eventually they actually started the music to the next track to get her to wind up and get back on stage!

noticed lots of little things I hadn’t before - watching frozen today from row H (7th row as there is no row A At grand Rex) I’m positive that distance is where the show was designed to be seen When she was putting it together

ive been 3rd row, boxes at the palladium, Upper circle there too, further back in Lisbon (row 12 and also near the back) and tonight during frozen it was the perfect blend of seeing madonna and Lola together as intended - when I’ve been closer to the stage all eyes are on madonna rather than the screen, further back (row 12 and further) I’ve focused on Lola more than madonna as that’s where the eyes naturally go

row 7 was the perfect blend of both as you could see her eyes but the video married on top of her perfectly

there is nothing that beats the excitement of being in the front 3-4 rows, but you miss the spectacle of what she was trying to do with Madame x tour

the twins didn’t come out for express yourself so 2 of the singers took over their parts, was very slick and obviously they had rehearsed that part

will write more when I remember it later x

I think front rows are more exciting because she's closer. But mezzanine and balcony do the trick if you want an overview of the full spectacle. That is the case with a theatre show as much as an arena one.

Are you really saying she looks WEAK and without energy on stage?

When have you seen the show?

Forgive me, I totally disagree. Everybody knows I am a very critical fan, especially for her musical choices. You can criticize many things, you can even say she has a big ass, but you can't say her movements are limited. Of course you can't expect  Blond Ambition at 60. But her stage presence is as strong as ever.

Yes, I'm saying she's physically weak. She still has a great stage presence - like I think I said in my concert review but  - to me, because of the INJURY - she appears much less powerful physically.

Now we know that her dancing has been shrunk to little or nothing (The only real dancing routine she has is in the Cape Verde section, some kind of Tango, and Batuka - where she's married to the tune) -  probably because of age - this is NOT a problem!

It costs me a lot to say it but yes, because of her INJURY, her dancing is WEAK. Even when seeing her getting up and down the piano one thinks "ok now she'll fall"

No one - i'm sure - would ever think that back at the RH Tour.

  6. It really saddens me that people think she is now some cripple with a glorious past! To some extent, it's her fault: she shouldn't have done the tour on a knee injury because she somehow comes across as weak on stage (her movements are limited and lack the energy that we know..)

But please do look at the Pride performance! It was made just before the tour. She looks and dances incredibly then!

It's the knee, not the age!°°°°

  7. Don't know why you guys always critisize Guy, tour or album sales

If M hasn't been at the top of her game charts-wise in the past decade it was only due to 2 things:

    -ageism (fact)

-lack of a powerful single (sorry that's a fact too)

She still is an amazing artist with a legendary legacy and who cares about popularity after 4 decades of career? Guy isn't the reason behind every failure. The business is tough. She is a survivor, a warrior!

To me the decision to keep on with the tour was hers and hers only! No one could have forced MADONNA to continue the tour on an injury, come on!

I was there 2 rows behind bowling - he was spot on with this - there was obvious concern for her at many points - more lifting and assistance than I’ve seen in any of the previous 6 shows over Lisbon and london

she was in a black bad mood from the start and in very obvious pain and limited movements compared to when I saw her 12th Feb - was heartbreaking and I think this is some of the reason the audience weren’t great - I was row 3 but would agree probably at least until row 5-6 everyone could see the pain and struggle she went through and it was uncomfortable

i have 2 shows Tuesday & Wednesday - she needs to rest and probably cancel more of the shows because this is completely different to the pain people saw in Lisbon (and I had 2 of my Lisbon shows cancelled last minute so can see the difference)

I think the fall on Wednesday During vogue has made her injury much worse...

My god im so glad i wasn't there that night it sounds awful

I just don't understand why she hasn't simply postponed all the tour since the beginning..a knee injury is some serious stuff.

Last night I watched what I believe is a fan-edited video of her Pride performance on youtube...before the injury...she was a totally different level (even compared to last wed, where everything went smoothly...u could sense she's not 100%)

Actually my friends who aren't hardcore fans told me she looked tired and moved like an elderly woman, with her back a bit curved. I didn't agree and explained to them she had an injury and was in pain. I mean, footballers stay in bed with a knee injury!

I know she's a hard ball and all, but enough is enough. Also she should have thought of all people travelling to see her and finally seeing the show got cancelled. I myself I met a lot of them last night. This costs money for god's sake!

I was also impressed by Guy's absence in London (and Paris too, I believe). He didn't even post much during the tour. And during these difficult days you'd expect him to be there.

But remember: WE KNOW NOTHING. We don't know who is really to blame about missing anniversary releases, about the impossible tour schedule with three shows in a row, about the lottery, about the wrong stage sizes.

M could be a victim of her unprofessional team. But we also know she doesn't listen and is surrounded by to many yes men. From what she says, she is the one who decided to go on, against doctors' orders. I heard she also cares about her staff who wouldn't be paid if she stopped the tour.

Don't get me wrong, but we know nothing about the gravity of the injury. We see her using a cane outside the theatre, but then we see her doing impressing movements two hours later. Until yesterday, many reviews said you can't see her suffering. I didn't notice it in London. The pain could be too much to do a show, but not necessarily too bad to need surgery. Do I have to think she is using strong painkillers? Will she have an operation? Let's face it, we don't know.

Im sorry but i find anniversary editions sad. Maybe more simply Madonna does too? Lol

From Bowling at Madonna Tribe. Her pain sounds worse than ever  ?

    So back from the show,
Radio edit after a very nice warm up from the band , we took our seat front row when they just started.
First row is definitely NOT the best seat in the house, anything from row 1 to 5 is too close and I mean it.
Yes you get to see her up close BUT she was so not at ease, she s in pain, she s exhausted and after few minutes even my parents look at me with that expression “what is going on”
You could almost felt everybody wondering will she go through the show and she did. But in a bad mood, from pain, exhaustion, and especially after the Polaroid won by a German girl. Someone say something anti German and her expression was terrible. She said” I heard that every country had bad history or history involved tyran so don’t lecture anyone” followed by a long pause and looking aggressively in the audience.
Same when she told the story about Celeste passing away an italian girl next to me said “hun?” Like she didn’t understand. And same Madonna stopped, looked at her and answer her with a stone face and aggressive tone . “It meant she died”. It was awkward... and again a weird long pause :starring at the girl....
There was a lot of love and scream from fan I guess but not enough, she complained about the audience being half asleep. We were not enough so she kinda switch to the auto pilote mode for a while.
She warmed a bit when the whole fado section got wild reaction.
My parents and brother didn’t especially notice the bad mood but they did notice her pain and exhaustion.
What was incredible was her voice, never ever I ve heard sing like that. EVER.
Especially la vie en Rose. Through the roof. Jaw dropping performance. So was extreme Occident.
Now to adress the elephant in the room she is beyond exhausted. Compare to Chicago she was the shadow of herself.
Yes it’s admirable she keep on going but the pain is too obvious now, there something unhealthy for everybody in the room at this point imho.
The dancers looks worried, m look worried at every step she take, the audience was worried about her pain.
It create a weird atmosphere, probably the people in the row far back wouldn’t notice but for us at front row, we could see the eyes contact, the subtle interaction between them. And M facial expression. She had a dancer holding her hand or close to her almost all the time. After butaka dance she seat next to one of the lady, the last one took her hand to comfort her and M was making again that face of someone being in so much pain :-/
M missed her come alive entrance with incomplete costume , her lap entrance and at the end of lap she was almost crying.
I don’t know what to make of this night. It was emotional, brilliant brave, awkward and painful all at the same time.
I don’t how to express it better.
Since it’s the second radio edit in a row I Think it would be the case until the end.
I have 2 more shows to attend, when I told my parents she has all those remaining shows to do they ask “how she s gonna make it?”
Don’t take this review as a negative one, it’s not, it’s just what I felt being so close to the stage and the whole energy coming from it.
I guess people not as close had Probably different feeling. But imho was not her best performance, not her best night, not her best crowd, but probably her best voice EVER...
So bittersweet is the word to describe that night even if my guest had a blast, I for one was worried and sorry for her many times.

The dancers looked worried too? I wonder how much of what you're saying is just your own personal interpretation inclined to drama and how much is actual fact...

Started with Vogue. Very serious. No smiles. No jokes. Se was in pain, she was not having fun doing the concert. No beer chat, she sang La vie en Rose (two verses) with a musician. Polaroid 2500€, no jokes, just accepted the money and gave the German girl the photo. Audience trying to tell her that we love her but she only smiled 2 times. Introducing Future (no body is coming to the future) she almost cry

She is a fighter, she is a warrior. She said we need very fews things from life, the most important health.

    A german again? Lol

About health, i'm totally with her!

She must really have started to be in pain cos on wed we had a great show, smiles and warmth and all
