I hope it's not Hold Tight. That's not deserving to be in a greatest hits tour when it was never released as a single!!

Embracing grey hair, wrinkles, and not getting any plastic surgery is only one idea of how to fight ageism. She constantly wears things that aren't generally considered to be acceptable for older women and proves she is capable of as much as a younger artist is. She's fighting ageism in her own way and that includes deciding what she does with her own face.

That's true she constantly makes people her age or less still have human rights for fun

It's actually true because she herself admitted it in an interview.

As we all know, Madonna is perfection personified. That is why many of us were completely baffled to see her performance with Maluma in Medellín, Colombia. I remember that on that occasion many forum users tried to explain the reason for such a disappointing performance: some said that Madonna was drunk, others that her prostheses did not allow her to move freely, others that she did not rehearse enough, others that she was intimidated by the Colombian dancers, others that it was not really Madonna but a double, etc. Totally subjective and unsupported justifications.

The only explanation that I found credible and acceptable was the one that I myself gave on that occasion and it was this of the panic attacks that Madonna herself admitted to suffering in an interview but that I personally doubted was true since I had always seen Madonna with such overflowing self-confidence but definitely after their performance in Medellín I learned a great lesson: that our idols are as human as we are and sometimes fanaticism blinds us to the point of believing that they are perfect beings when they can have the same or even more flaws than the commonest of mortals.

Now we know why she seemed so happy in the madame x tour and Koko club..

I think a lot of the production sounds pretty current and it’s nothing that would have been done 25 years ago.
And regardless, can we say something’s dated because it references a style that’s been out for 20-30 years?
Personally I consider dated something that can’t transcend the time of its release (Turn Up The Radio cough) or that was released relatively close to a trend that passed

The mdna demos sounds very dated i can't believe there were plans for bang bang boom to be released even as a plan demo,i mean it sounds good but even Isla Bonita sounds more modern

Thanks for breaking this down in detail. NOW I understand what's what. This is the version I'm missing in my (streaming) life. It's the real drums without the cowbell I need.

The Immaculate version might suffice if it was actually available on the damn streaming version. All that extra reverb and delay in the Celebration version does my head in.

    EMILY!!!

I know. I hate that "The Immaculate Collection" is not... immaculate :Madonna009: But on the other hand, only "Lucky Star" and "Borderline" are not the proper versions and those are basically the ones included on "Celebration".

Back to "Madonna", I was checking yesterday and they've updated the whole album except for "Holiday". I don't know if they're the 2001 versions or not, but "Lucky Star", "Physical Attraction", "Everybody" and "Burning Up (12'' Version)" seemed to be taken directly from the master tapes before (low sound but good dynamics), while now are way louder. It reminds me of the "True Blue 35th" remaster but maybe it's just the 2001 one.

Let's see, maybe "Madonna 40" is coming and they've updated these versions now.

Are you joking me,they are remastering the album without putting it in new release?:Madonna002:

OK I realized they haven't just merged the versions, it's more complicated.

They updated "Borderline" on the "Madonna" album and the 2001 reissue to have the proper Album Version instead of the previous Extended Version (on the digital "Madonna" reissue for years).

That way, they've matched and merged the streams the Extended Mix had previously with the ones the version on "The Immaculate Collection" on digital has, tagged as "Remix" but actually the Album Version too. So now "Madonna" and "The Immaculate Collection" both have the "Borderline" Album Version.

What it's wrong is they've tagged "Borderline" on "Madonna" as "U.S. Remix", when actually now it is the Album Version. Emily, please.

Meanwhile, "Holiday" is not updated yet: the version on "Madonna" is an edit of "The Immaculate Collection" version.

All this mess makes me think "Madonna 40" is going behind the scenes and will be announced soon maybe? They didn't update and merge "Papa Don't Preach" right until weeks/days before "True Blue 35th" was released.

Edit: By the way, this new merged 18M "Borderline" Album Version shouldn't be combined with the 31M "Celebration" Version cause they simply are not the same version of the song!

Edit 2: The updated "Borderline" Album Version on "Madonna" is 5:20 instead of 5:17 on "The Immaculate Collection" and is LOUDER. So maybe it's a remastered version for "Madonna 40" too? Or maybe just the 2001 remastered version, I don't know. It's also updated on iTunes/Apple Music.

Warner Records king of making edits to their songs knowing 1% will figure it out unless it appears as new release:Madonna002:
