Reading the last three pages trying to know what the hell has caused so much drama:

In an affidavit, the singer says that on July 8 she became aware of the planned auction by Gotta Have Rock and Roll of many of her belongings, which she thought were still in her possession.
 
“I became aware through media reports that there was a planned auction of extremely personal, private correspondence I received from a former boyfriend, the late recording artist and actor Tupac Shakur,†Madonna said.
 
“I was shocked to learn of the planned auctioning of the Shakur Letter, as I had no idea that the Shakur Letter was no longer in my possession. I have never sold, gifted, transferred or otherwise disposed of the Shakur Letter.â€
 
The papers seek an order from a judge halting the online auction, scheduled for Wednesday, of more than 100 items.
 
Madonna points the finger at Darlene Lutz, an art consultant and “former friend†who she had welcomed into her homes.
 
“It seems obvious that Defendant Lutz betrayed my trust in an outrageous effort to obtain my possessions without my knowledge or consent and now attempts to profit by auctioning off my personal belongings and private communications to the general public in complete disregard of my rights, especially my right to privacy,†the “Material Girl†singer said.
 
The suit says the items include private letters and other correspondence between Madonna, her family and celebrities and former boyfriends, private photographs, unreleased recordings, a personal checkbook, previously worn underwear and a hairbrush with the singer’s hair.

I am seriously dissapointed. I know, at least we're getting a 'complete' DVD unlike RIT and BAT, but I really don't get why it's so hard to simply record the show in one city and stop adding fake crowd noises and footage from different shows where she wears different costumes. We are probably the only fanbase that has to worry about the live releases being shit (I know, many artists don't even release tour DVDs, but the artists who do manage to make at least the audio sound normal).
 
She should have done it this way:
 
Record the final shows (and only those shows!) in Sydney, release the whole concert (including speeches and the special performances), add behind-the-scenes footage and document her return to Australia after more than 20 years (she could explain how she feels returning to the country etc.), plus a Tears of a Clown bonus dvd (Either the whole thing or just highlights).
 
The fact that she added the Sticky & Sweet Tour Buenos Aires crowd singing Like a Virgin over the Rebel Heart Tour performance is simply senseless. I can tell by the videos I've watched that the Sydney crowd was very energic and loud. Also, at one minute it sounds like there are like 100.000 people in the audience, at the other minute it sounds like there are only teenagers screaming, it's so confusing.
 
The Confessions Tour audio was amazing. Why doesn't she work like that anymore? She must know that fans were unhappy with the way she edited the MDNA show, and honestly, the Rebel Heart show edit wasn't much of a difference.
 
Don't get me wrong, I love her, and I am very happy that she keeps releasing her shows on DVDs, I love her work, but this really pisses me off.

it's cold outside so I decided to come up with this

I'm going to just throw my hat in to this deep discussion. And truly, some of this may not be what you want to hear. But the fact of the matter is, this release isn't going to be what we wanted. But honestly...would it ever be? If she gave us the full show, unedited, Tears of a Clown, a IGTTYAS length documentary on the tour, the most incredible artwork she's ever had, a full show on CD, etc. it still wouldn't be enough to suit everyone. The Rebel Heart era was something no one could have predicted. She gave a lot on the tour. She listened and played songs we wanted to hear, which weren't all necessarily what she wanted to play but she did. She took her show to places that never thought would see her. She didn't have to go into an unknown market like that but she did. She didn't have to create a special love letter to the fans with TOAC, a risky move for someone like her but she did. She didn't have to spend almost a year working on a film that she thought we would like but she did. I am in the same boat with you. I want LDLHA. I want Lucky Star. I want TOAC. But I also want M to be able to do something that makes her happy. I'm sure she's sick of getting bombarded with comments and questions about this release. And I'll bet you that she is so ready to move on from this and go on to something new. She is giving us what she feels she should. We may not always agree with her, but it's ultimately her choices. Very rarely does she steer us wrong. Sure, this is a bump. A big one, but a bump nonetheless. Deep down, we knew this wasn't going to be what we secretly hoped for. M has never been all that giving when it comes to her live releases. But she's, I'm sure, going to give us something special in the future. We may be frustrated with her now. We may be even a little angry with her now. But she always makes it better. I've done my fair share of whining, but I'm not going to anymore. We get what we get. I feel lucky we're getting anything. In March of last year, we were shitting ourselves thinking she wasn't going to film it. But she did. And we should be grateful for it. 34 years in, she doesn't have anything more to prove. But she's still trying. We may not feel like she's trying hard enough...but she's trying. And for those reasons, I'll gladly buy this release and be happy with it. She. Always. Makes. It. Better. Whatever "terrible" thing she hands down, she always makes up for in the future.
