Not my favourite era and some ovbious mistakes were made, but I still liked a lot of it. And I'm sure I'm gonna look back on it with a smile, but hopefully there will be better things in the future, I don't just mean from her but FOR her. I hope that the world embraces her more and that things go better for her, but she must also change a few things for that to happen.
 
All in all I appreciate the things I did like, and try not to think about the rest. Madonna's had such a vast career that it's inevitable to have things you like and things you don't.
 
I don't think the album is "horrific". I don't understand how you can't find some redeeming things at least, but to each their own... I liked way too many songs, performances, moments, interviews. There was a lot of good imho.

how about both so more of her body of work is more accessible to people?  She needs to work her legacy more, younger people don't know a lot of her stuff.  they need to be educated, and maybe she'd be a bit more appreciated as they can see where more contemporary artists get it from.

I'd rather have them on iTunes so we could buy it and own the file, not only streaming. And iTunes has 5.1 audio

i hope the footage filmed by Nathan Rissman at the Place de la République will be in the bonus features as well as highlights from all over the world, looking at you Glasgow for holiday and Ghosttown

i would love if it was something like Frozen or Paradise , dark slow hard electronic sound with orchestra and her mmmm sounds, i want Royksopp to produce it and i want her dressed in Gaultier ...!!!

I just hope they release the whole show!

There was a confirmation from the team (don't know all the details) that the ENTIRE Tears show will be a bonus feature on the official RHT DVD

i don't really care as long as she records and releases an official video in any format. DVDs aren't selling nowadays.

You mean amateurs filmed those ;) ? It's splitting hairs really - the point is they are available and aren't bootleg recordings by somebody standing with a VHS camera at the back of a stadium. 

It would be great if she surprised us with new music sooner rather than later. I don't think she should stop, the Rebel Heart sessions were her most productive in a decade and you gotta keep going while it's there.
 
I just really hope she keeps her next project top secret and we are totally surprised. And also different release strategies. (not going into that big ass subject)
 
Musically I'd like her to go in a more experimental direction, a sound we haven't heard before, everyone else in the mainstream is doing more left-field things these days so you can't be basic. Just keep it simple, 12 tracks, couple producers, that's when the magic happens. I'd like it to be profound and beautiful-sounding and with a lot of vocal. But I do not want her to try to recapture past glories and past sounds. i do not want ROL 2 and I don't want it to be compared to ROL or any other album, I want it to be able to stand on its own musical merit.
 
If she's gonna go fully commercial again then at least I hope she puts all her effort and attention into every aspect of it, and lets no one compromise her vision.  (looking at you Interscope)

I think its cos some of her work with DJs now appears to be based on bits they come up with, rather than songs written beforehand by talented songwriters. That problem is blatant mostly on MDNA. Thankfully Rebel Heart has lots of quality songwriting, but there are a few songs in between that drag down the overall quality of the album (Holy Water, S.E.X, Veni Vidi Vici...). No matter how much you dress them up and put lipstick on them they're still poor compositionally and lyrically.
 
RH is her best since COADF undoubtedly, but I dont think its her best since ROL. You can't find one song in Music, AL or Confessions that's as "bad" as those aforementioned songs. I prefer having an album with constant cohesive quality than an album full of highs and lows, but that's just me. It's still an excellent step in the right direction and I just hope she's gonna continue to put effort in her music. But she has to evaluate properly which songs are clearly outtakes.
 
If she had included History, Superpop or Fighting Spirit on Confessions, I would not see the album in the same way i do.

For me the worst thing about M(And has been since 2005) is her whole image and the fact that she HAS to surround herself with people half her age to make herself seem/look young ? Not to mention the endless photoshopping on her pics too ? Just make great music and age gracefully ?
I remember the Erotica period very well(I was 17) - i was in college and everywhere it was all about the sex book and everyone was bashing her - saying she had gone too far - it was a very dark period in her career(Maybe ahead of her time too) now fans(me included) love that album - look how nuts people went over those leaks of shame and you are the one ? it also spawned her 2 best music videos imo(Bad Girl and Rain) plus i love the Girlie Show now too(Was never that fond of it at the time)
I havent seen the new show(Too expensive for me) but im looking forward to seeing on blu-ray but i know its not gonna be how the show was originally presented(Over edited to death im sure) as for the album i agree that BIM is one of her worst songs/videos ever but overall its a mediocre album for me and one i dont think is gonna go down as a classic like ROL, LAP or True Blue - she needs to work with Orbit or Leonard or maybe Pettibone for the next record- we need a new sound not this R&B crap :(( she used to be a trend setter in music now she seems to follow the others now which is a shame
