Madonna did PRIDE when it was still not in vogue.  The LGBTQ message was front and center during BLOND AMBITION and showcased LGBTQ people in a more mainstream fashion than ever before.  Then Erotica completely ripped off the social blindfold.  Acceptance and equality was amplified loudly and M was so fuckin' fierce.  A warrior without arguement.  She is my hero and savior in so many ways!  Remember 1990 and 1992 when we honor our new advocates who risked way less.

I wasn’t clubbing  pre 92 because I was a minor but from my time going out I always heard the 12 mixes from like a prayer onwards. Madonna was played in the clubs a lot. They’ve played a major major part in her success. 
 

To be fair, when those videos were created back then, the b-roll footage was readily available as the music videos had been recently filmed. This is a remix video using 29 years+ old footage and it likely would have taken longer to retrieve the b-roll footage - that's even if they considered it given this is just a remix video.
I'm not sure why people are treating this like anything more than a nice to have official remix music video. 

I still can't get over the beauty of 'Deeper&Deeper', both lyrically and visually: the cryptic lyrics, the flamenco guitar that pops out from nowhere, the references to Andy Warhol and Luchino Visconti, the fusion between the Roaring 20s and the 70s, linked together by the common sense of decadence that pervaded those years. prolly the song I love the most from hers. I even like the remix, although I usually loathe them. I'd have never believed I could lose my mind over a Philly disco song released before I was born. Also, it's not a coincidence she released the video, coloured with the cinematographic 'pink&blue' lights, just in time for Pride Month! And people still ask me why she's one of my favourite LGBTQ+ icon...
About 'Frozen', releasing a '98 remix after 5359 versions none requested would be very madge.
I'm happy with this project, so far. Fingers crossed for the rest.

Also don’t underestimate the cumulative effects of the last five years since Rebel Heart. Prince / George Michael / Bowie all dying. Her idol, friend and contemporary. Her injury, covid, and starting a biopic. Looking back through old material and photos and actually contemplating your life for the first time can be incredibly affecting. She must be questioning a lot of things. My father is the same. He doesn’t like old family videos or photos because he finds it sad that those days are gone and he’s getting old and less capable. He is reminded of his mortality. 
Some people work and work and work and keep going to occupy their minds in a bid to not have time to sit and think because their head gets in their own way. Forward only. 
We know she’s spoke about her relationship with fame before many times but to look back this deeply and write and curate one’s own biopic is actually kind of morbid in a way. 
 
Was it all worth it?
Do you think she’s satisfied?
I think that’s one of the greatest lessons for me and maybe part of her story. 
She couldn’t have worked harder and achieved more. 
Does that make one happy and fulfilled? 
or does she wish she took more care of herself and the people along the way? 
Is she happy? 
Also some people just grow old and grumpy and a bit weird. No matter what walk of life.

True Blue single covers were flawless. Each cover was perfectly synched with its video or an appropriate shoot. 
I’d actually love someone to make a project of recreating all her single covers with the same idea.
