Disco didn't even sell 300k worldwide, what are you talking about? Madame X sold more than that with USA and UK numbers alone. 170k in the USA alone...over 60k in the UK, France and Italy around 30k in each. That's already 290k in these 4 countries alone. 
And Kylie had 3 #1 albums since 2018...in a country: UK. 
Even Finally Enough Love, a remix album peaked at #1 in more countries than Disco.

I look at this as an extra release. I wasn't even counting on this when they released that PR announcement for her birthday last year.
I also don't see this as any worse than Celebration. In fact the remastered Into The Groove sounds better tbh.
I do find it weird that the cover for the standard edition is a depressing black and white picture. She's not dead yet...it's a dance music celebration..it deserved to be better.

Kate Bush was a fluke due to Stranger Things. If she released a new studio album she would be nowhere to be seen. 
And Elton... he had a hit with the biggest hitmaker of the past 4 years. His album has tracks with less than 1.5M streams after a year on Spotify even with feats. 
He also has a lot of hype for doing a collaboration with the most anticipated comeback in music right now: Britney Spears.
He's someone that chooses his projects well. Madonna could be more like that tbh.
