Hmmmm. I'm not sure I buy that. If you turn the volume up, you can definitely hear the F in life in the fade-out vocals from 07:25 in that video. I'd say the LIE was just a production chop rather than her actually singing the word "lie" that she was probably aware of when it was done in the studio and thought it was an interesting double-entendre to add tho the track.

I'm pretty sure they still have warehouses full of the 3 albums she gave them, so they could start with shifting a few of those!
As mentioned already, she only licensed those albums to Interscope, so they can only sell what she delivered to them, and they already did multiple versions of each of them so I can't see much of a financial incentive from their point of view. 
When she gets the licensing rights back in a few years, I'm sure she'll do something interesting with their reissues.

Why so salty? You can't compare apples with oranges in a lame attempt to make a point. There is no "as if". They literally don't compare.

Yesterday Fighter and I transferred the forum over to the new server. I want to give a HUGE thank you to @Fighterfor guiding me every step of the way. If it wasn't for them, there'd be no forum as I really was 'like a virgin' - I think I'm now still a 'baby' Madonna with this, but certainly know a lot more than I did yesterday!
Nothing will change, all the same rules, expectations, community standards will remain the same. All moderators will stay the same and I hope @Fighteralso stays as a member/admin!

"American Pie" was a huge hit for her all over Europe. During Spring 2000 you couldn't escape from it. She came from the huge success of the "Ray Of Light" album and the "Beautiful Stranger" single, the song had that Orbit classic production that dominated that year (All Saints' "Pure Shores" was another big hit of that year in Europe) and the video was cool and funny.
It's easy to underestimate now how a huge hit it was then cause it was later neglected on "GHV2", "Celebration" and basically all Madonna history, but it was BIG.
