Give it 2 Me, Miles Away and Celebration were the last Madonna songs I heard on the radio and were popular where I live.

If Madonna's team could wise up and start acting like the Prince estate in terms of reissues that would be a literal dream. I literally about had an orgasm when that magnificent box set of 1999 showed up at my door, not getting my hopes up though because this is Madonna we are talking about??

Every time I see photo's of Madonna's house in the background, her choice in art furnishings seems to be superb. She has always been very enthusiastic about stuff like that.

I think that we need to ask ourselves if charts are even important anymore. I would rather Madonna make great music that the fans will enjoy than stoop to Elton John's level of terrible collaborations. It would be nice if Madonna made a comeback in terms of the charts but for me it is not very important. I do think that her being back with Warner is a very good sign though, I was really impressed with their promotion of Madame X Concert Film. Rebel Heart and MDNA were shamefully promoted by Interscope because it was largely a touring contract she signed.

Ok let’s all take bets on what the first album to be reissued will be!
My Guess is: Like A Prayer

Madame X is one of those albums that fans either seem to really like or really hate. Personally, I was getting incredibly tired of the same old dance stuff and was glad that she released something more experimental. Madame X is not a singles album, it is meant to be listened to as a whole, even though Crave is criminally underrated in my opinion.

I've attempted to decor my living room in the same way actually, albeit with a much lower budget lol. We have the same taste <3

Its totally fine if us fans have different tastes regarding Madonna's albums. I utterly despise nearly everything about MDNA as an album except for a few tracks like Girls Gone Wild. But hey, atleast we got a good tour.

Sooooo... I was scrolling through YouTube on my Apple TV and I noticed they've updated their artist pages to look like a music service under albums and single. They even changed the static image while a song plays to appear to include a song progression bar. Curious, I go to look at Madonna's page.
It's clear they are in the process of switching everything over to this new look. They've gone backwards from Frozen SICKDICK to Bedtime Stories. Erotica and earlier still look like the old video playlists. But Like a Prayer is nowhere to be found. It's not on the page anywhere. So I've concluded that Like a Prayer will be the first Reissue.

I love Madonna. I'll always love Madonna. She is always gonna be MY pop music goddess. She changed my life. She saved my life. She is one of a kind. I loved her when she was younger, I'll love her as she gets older. There will never be another person like her. Enjoy her. And if your talking about her; discussing her; analyzing her; objectifying her; anticipating her -- as she always said "Bitch your a fan"...and doing it all on a Madonna FAN forum too ? ?

What really needs to change is that her fans need to step into the present and stop saying "she needs to do this Madge you're above this don't do that" etc because all that catches on and creates a "SEE NOT EVEN HER FANS LIKE HER ANYMORE" environment. It also amuses me how alot crap on the Frozen remix when clearly it was going viral. People complained about insta being too ugly so she finally serves us looks yet people complain there's filters as if shes the first and only person to ever use filters. She really is damned if she does damned if she doesnt. The only difference is that fans try to overcompensate and try to be "anti-stan" and do nothing but bitch.

Jesus Christ! there are some pretty fucking stupid users I encounter on this forum. Who would ever become a Madonna fan if they had a problem with using sex as a means of art? I never did understand why sex was taboo even as a little kid, it is literally a part of nature. No different than eating food because its a need or having to use the shitter. God danmm I feel like I am living in a world of goldfish in this forum. I think there are many trolls amongst us.

Since when did I compare Instagram to her music videos. Clean the rocks out of your head and stop the trolling or you are going to removed from this forum soon. Literally everyone uses photoshop on social media and some of the stuff she posts is meant to get people talking which has been massively successful so far. Madonna uses her social media as a marketing gimmick, nobody is calling it art now are they? GTFO please, you picked the wrong person to respond to, or did you actually realize that you are one of the idiots I was referencing in my previous comment.

    No.
I don't buy that one song alone can 'destroy' any future potential success. That's more so a reflection of certain fans' own biases at play regarding their own feelings about the work in question.
At the time, it was most likely her situation with Warner, amongst several other things (in and out of her control).
GI2M is a fantastic song, and I find it quintessentially Madonna. It deserved a better video and promotion, certainly. If Blurred Lines, which basically rips on the same sample, by the same producer, can be such a massive hit, I don't see why GI2M couldn't have had some of the same if given the proper chance.

Madonna has always been about sex and religion. I'm always baffled by fans being outraged whenever she uses one or the other in her work. And it was never about being sexy but about being sexual because that's what she is. And there's nothing wrong with that. That's why i loved her and Prince in the first place. Somehow not aknowledging this is like reversed slut shaming or something. But i don't think that's what that poster meant in the first place. Twisting other people's words is what trolls do.

50ft Queenie got a reaction from Voguerista in When exactly did Madonna become a superstar?
As a fan since the very start, I will put it like this. Madonna starting trending and becoming popular with young people from the release of her first album with hits like Holiday and Borderline but I always felt that one of the most defining moments of her career was Like a Virgin live on MTV, it is really difficult to understand the effect that moment and that album as a whole had on her career unless you were there to see it. She was elevated from a popular upstart into a full blown superstar. Some people kidded themselves and said that she was still a passing fad who would fade into obscurity, they massively underestimated her relentless marketing skills and ambition, from Like a Virgin on, her domination was utterly complete and would remain so during the rest of the decade,  you could take Cyndi Lauper's success in the 80's and multiply it by 20 and she would not even come close to competing with Madonna's success, they started off as rivals but Like a Virgin resulted in Madonna eclipsing all her female rivals and never looking back.  If Madonna became a superstar with like a Virgin, it was her first and possibly most shocking reinvention True Blue that turned her from superstar into something beyond superstar. True Blue was very important because it marked the moment that Madonna had accumulated a worrying level of power and from then on the media would try and fail to destroy the monster they had created. It also highlighted the fact that she was a talented songwriter and could be successful without the image Madonna wannabe's were copying. Self titled was the moment Madonna became popular, Like a Virgin was the moment she became a superstar and True Blue was when she became an iconic legend. Michael Jackson was her only rival in the 80's in terms of sales although Prince was unquestionably the most musically talented of the three 80's mega stars.
