LOL to them making a deal about her smoking. She's 18. Madonna did it. Personally, I think it's a nasty habit and she quits, but it's her life.

It is hypocritical of Madonna to say she's against smoking and then go around smoking but "without inhaling". How moronic...

 

 

 

The difference is that she's not actually a smoker. Maybe at one time, she was more of a social smoker, but it seems no longer. Lourdes is actually out smoking. It's not for a photo shoot or a prop as Madonna has done on stage, in promotional images or videos. There is a huge difference, even though it still promotes smoking. To me, it's like acting. You might portray a serial killer, but it doesn't make you one or a hypocrite when you condemn someone who is serial killer.

Maybe so, but she glamorizes it, therefore promotes it.... there is no other reason why she does it...

I don't see it as "glamorizing" on her part.  I see it just as a prop like anything else. It's not like she's the only one who does this. I mean if you're going to play "James Dean", it wouldn't be complete without the cigarette. I see the same with some of the characters she plays or portrays in her work.

There'd be no reason for it to be used as a prop other than she thinks it makes her look cool and sexy, therefore glamorizing it... it's not like she's the only one as you say, it was a very glamorous thing in old hollywood, but it's not exactly current.

 

Well, Lana whom I love does it and she emulates old hollywood, but at least she doesn't preach against smoking...  :tongue:

Lourdes Leon makes waves on south of France holiday before starting university

Lourdes Leon enjoyed her last stint of freedom before she heads to university next month. 

Madonna's teenage daughter, 17, was seen hitting the beach near Cannes, in the south of France, where she and her family are currently holidaying. 

Soaking up the 30 degree heat, Lourdes showed off her tanned and toned figure in a black bikini. The raven-haired beauty rocked a pair of oversized orange sunglasses as she relaxed on the shore with a group of friends.

Lourdes Leon is following in her mum Madonna's footsteps and will be attending the University of Michigan



Lourdes looked to be having the time of her life as she later splashed around in the sea with her companions, and clutched onto her bikini as the waves came crashing down. 

Just last week Madonna, 55, took to Instagram to share some incredible holiday snaps of the gang. 

The queen of pop posted a photo of a group of men lined up along the edge of a pool – including her 26-year-old dancer boyfriend Timor Steffens and her 14-year-old son Rocco â€“ and captioned it, "What my holiday looks like!"

The celebrations and fun times will be carrying on into the weekend as Madonna rings in her 56th birthday on Saturday. 

Lourdes, meanwhile, is gearing up for the start of her university career. The fashionista will be studying musical theatre and dance and, like her mother, has enrolled at the University of Michigan. 

Michigan-born Madonna briefly attended the institution in the seventies before leaving for New York to pursue her music career.
