Been a fan of George even longer than Madonna... but there is no feud... only George talking crap and nonsense about other people..... He loves Madonna, but he is also totally jealous of the career she has had. Do not pay attention to his nonsense.

I guess he did say that. But the line producer, she said they DID film the shows in its entirety. I want to believe HEERRRRRR

Madonna- The Blond Ambition Tour 1990- Unseen and Un-Cut. I can see it now. Because it’s been unseen :(

I guess I have to eat my words as it appears that Alek didn't film the entire Paris shows in the end: he talks about it in this Q&A (around 23:30 mark). I guess that answers the question - we'll never get a full Paris show.

I would LOVE (obviously) the full, complete Paris performance. It was filmed so beautifully on 35mm. I'm sure it would be almost every fan's dream to have a copy of this somehow, shape or form.
I saw her June 1, 1990 in Michigan the night we all sang Happy Birthday to here Dad after Holiday.
I honestly and truly prefer the ponytail though I must say. I find it truly suited all the costumes better.
The Yokohama show to me is too dark. I hardly see any lights and it seems like parts of the backdrop are missing at times. The Nice show is better in all aspects but I actually find the Barcelona show to be the best all of 3 personally. They all pale in comparison to the Truth or Dare (Bercy) footage however. Ponytail or not, I want it! Although, it's 99.9% of a chance we'll never see the rest of it.

Not if Danny Tull edits the shit out of it like he normally does - i could do a better job than him - i think at this point we will never see the full Paris BA show as much as i want it as much as i want the CT on blu-ray in full :(((

They did include LAP and Hanky Panky as extras on the vhs... Also there were rumours of the japan shows being filmed (maybe by david fincher?). this has been discussed to death and its almost an urban legend...

It wasn't a Sire/Warner release. It was done through Miramix films, which was acquired by Disney in 93, and later Filmyard Hosting in 2010, and then another company 2016. So where those film rolls are, could literally be anywhere lol. Madonna did show glimpses of an "archive" on her instagram a few years ago, with a bunch of reels labelled as "TOD." Who knows if that was the extra footage, or just a reel of the actual film. But Alek did say a few years that they could not find the original reels.

If it exists it should exist as film rolls in some archive somewhere... so it wouldn't leak unless it was scanned into a digital format. Most of it was probably never edited....

Why is it so shocking to see an older woman's body? Why is it such a taboo for a 60 year old to show her not-20-year-old body? Picture may not be flattering to the public, but it's real and I'm sure lot of women can relate to her.

Wow people... honestly I'm AMAZED by this gesture of her!
That's what I was waiting since years and now I I bow down to her braveness and dignity! She shows the body of a mature woman for what it looks like and it's about acceptance and maturity. Nobody at her level ever did this, nobody had the courage and the strenght.
SHE FUCKING IS MY QUEEN AND I'M FUCKING PROUD OF HER TODAY!
(as for the reason, this is the anti-"Bitch I'm Madonna"-mood, wich we suppose wil be the album mood, and it's gonna make a loooot of noise on papers and web)

Funny how nobody cares about Africa until a celebrity like M wears a traditional dress and all of the sudden everyone screams “cultural appropriation!” People: you care about Africa? Go get there and start helping build a school or a hospital. Until then, shhhh...

Yeah!! Please let it be a NEW performance of her, and coming from her. Not anymore tributes, hommages, renditions to others or to present an award etc in these events. Enough of that. And I said ENOUGH lol.

Well it needed to be said and needs to be heard. I don’t mean to offend anyone. I’m here to make friends not ruffle feathers, but racism towards towards white people does exist, and Madonna has been repeatedly targeted throughout her career. Surely on one would deny that? She even referenced it herself in her speech!
& Of course it makes people feel uncomfortable, as it well should, because racism is horrible, no matter who the target is. But it can’t and shouldn’t be ignored either.
This is not about the in-balance of power in society, between white and non-white, but about judgements and criticisms made solely on the basis of skin colour.
Madonna could quite literally be trying to raise an impoverished African nation, one child at a time, and yet there are certain people who will only ever see a white woman ‘taking’ black children out of Africa for her own wicked, selfish gain. ‘You only see what your eyes want to see. How can life be what you want it to be. You’re frozen when you’re heart’s not open’. This may not be the intended context of those lyrics, but it conveys exceptional meaning in these circumstances.
I’m not trying to stir the pot here, but if Madonna has taught us anything , surely we should be more sensitive towards cultures and people we don’t understand? These are traditional garments worn by people in a country we may not know anything about, so it’s incredibley rude and ignorant to make glib criticisms and qualify them as mere ‘difference of opinion’.
There are some who think gay people are disgusting. Should we blindly accept that as just a ‘difference of opinion’? Ultimately it’s someone else culture. It’s a part of their life, their identity. Perhaps it’s only ‘ugly’ because we don’t understand it, but if we took a moment, opened our hearts and minds, then perhaps we might appreciate it more?
Anyway, this all said always with love and respect.

It was rambling and yeah a bit tone deaf.  If she wasn't going off a script it could be more understandable. (edit: it appears it wasn't a script, they asked her beforehand to add her own Aretha story: credit to M here on this) Maybe she was nervous.  I know when I'm speaking & nervous I add too much to what I'm saying.  It wasn't billed as an Aretha tribute officially, but her picture was behind Madonna during the speech.
Nothing wrong with being anecdotal during a tribute, however official it was, but I just think it was unintentionally sloppy on Madonna's part.
As for those screaming cultural appropriation on social media, there is a STARK difference between paying homage to a culture and MOCKING a culture.  Madonna pays homage & always has.

I thought her MJ tribute was the best.  I don't remember people complaining about it so much either as w/ Prince & now Aretha.

Maybe Madonna shouldn't show up for tributes and should just PERFORM her own songs on the VMAs again.  I can't believe its been 15 years.

Yes. Actually, I don't think he gets as much blame for it as he should, tbh. His mixing is shoddy and his fingerprints are all over the place on her last three albums. It's easy to hear his distinct influence on Hard Candy as he mixed the Timbaland tracks while Mark Spike Stent (one of the most sought-after mixing engineers in the business for good reason) mixed the Pharrell tracks. Even though his work on HC is possibly the least objectionable, it still pales in comparison to Stent's.
