After I Found Love: #1’s Remixed, and Rebel Heart (Demo Assembly), it’s time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Madonna’s career with a series of remastered EPs !

These EPs will be released chronologically and regularly (2 eras per week) to be enjoyed progressively. Yes, every single era got the same treatment. Let’s continue with the Erotica era. You’ll find the tracklists in the second post right below.
While these remasters were initially done and compiled by myself back in late 2020 – early 2021, new mixes (such as the Finally Enough Love ones) and quality upgrades were taken into account since then and are also present here in remastered form.

Since some of you liked my This Used To Be My Playground drumless version in another thread, here are In This Life drumless and Take A Bow drumless & bassless.
I used an AI software to make them, i don't have it anymore and they are the only ones i have kept. Until someday someone shares the stem for both tracks that's the closest we'll get to have orchestral versions. I love the Suzie Katayama strings on Take A Bow. That song was never a favourite of mine but stripped of most of its 90's RnB elements it sounds like a gorgeous lullaby, almost asian. On In This Life, removing the repetive drums in the back (same as in This Used To Be My Playground) it makes the Gershwin progression more obvious and it gives more space to the New York philarmonic string and brass arrangements.

Problem is Madonna fans are not in tune with youth culture because they are not young anymore and she's going after it like she's always gone after the zeigeist. That's the reason why Madame X is still fresh 3 years later. I'm glad she's not into making an effing disco album like they all do. She already did. 17 years ago. And i clearly remember fans hating it because they thought she was cheapenig herself after the more non commerial American Life. They hated that she used an Abba sample, they hated she wore a leotard at 47. Now they all have catch up with it. 
The only worry i have is not the artists she collaborates with because there's always the Madonna touch in the struture of what she does, my worry is her voice. By trying to filter it to sound young (the same way she filters her face, incidentally) she sounds cold dead and robotic, even grating (she's been doing it since 4 Minutes, at first i thought it was Demo Castellon but it's obviously something she wants since she's doing it even worst with Lauren D'Elia....that's why i don't blame Ricardo Gomes for his face edits either, he does what he's told to do and that's why he's by her side and not someone else) that's where i disconnect from her.

She mentioned a few times (paraphrasing) that she just could perform Material Girl or Like A Virgin because she was not that person anymore. I think this ended around American Life, when she did the acoustic versions of Like a Virgin and Like a Prayer.

I think the demand for the first Madonna tour in 8 years was huge. She knew it would sold out and people were dying to see her. So, she took advantage of that and did whatever the fuck she wanted with the setlist, and I fucking love her for that.

I have no choice but to stand the fact that she performed The Funny Song instead of a hit  And I'm sorry, and maybe it's because I'm latino little faggy boy myself, but I LOVE Lo Que Siente La Mujer, and that arrangement with Calderone's mix, still gives me goosebumps.
BUT...

Nothing Really Matters should've been in the Geisha section and You'll See should've been part of the setlist since day one.

Its considered by art dealers as the most important pop manifesto from a woman point of view.
