- Into the Groove: after the first two nights in London, from the third one the small rap of Missy Elliott was cut out from the song.
- Live to Tell: from the third night, a thunderstorm sound effect was added during the intro.
- Causing a Commotion: on 22/10/2023, M sang acapella the chorus of the song before “Burning Up”. She did it again on 15-16/11/2023 shows in Cologne; Amsterdam 02/12/2023; London 05-06/12/2023; Brooklyn 14-16/12/2023; Washington 18-19/12/2023; Boston 08-09/01/2024; Toronto 11-12/01/2024.
- Sodade: on 06/11/2023 and on 07/11/2023, in Lisbon, M and her son David performed a short version of this song on guitar before "I Will Survive".
- I Love New York: she sang the chorus of this song during “Burning Up” on 02/12/2023 Amsterdam show and during the 05/12/2023 London show. During the 3 shows in Brooklyn (New York), 13-14-16-/12/2023, she performed a mash up of these two songs: First/second verses and choruses of “I Love New York” sang on the instrumental of “Burning Up”, then she started to sing the last one from the bridge.
- Express Yourself: from 08/01/2024 M replaced “I Will Survive” with an acoustic rendition of this song.
- Frozen (contains elements of the Sickick Remix): from 11/01/2024 M replaced “Rain” with this song.
 
Rehearsals:
- Candy Perfume Girl: rehearsed at the very early stage on rock guitar.
- Burning Up: rehearsed at the very early stage on acoustic guitar.
- Celebration: originally the opener followed by "Nothing Really Matters", then rehearsed as an outro and it didn't have elements from "Music".
- Nothing Really Matters: considered also as the final song and "Everybody" as the opener.
- The Power of Good-Bye: rehearsed as one of the final songs.
- Ghosttown: rehearsed on guitar with her son David.
- Mother of Creation: considered as an interlude, probably before "Bedtime Story".
- Papa Don't Preach: rehearsed in full.
 
- Three weekd before the opening night she deleted the first act that had songs like "Music", "Candy Shop", "Back That Up to the Beat" & "4 Minutes". She also replaced "Frozen" with "Rain", changed the original choreo (with chairs) of "Live to Tell" and also changed few remixes.
 
- During the final dress rehearsals in London she deleted:
Oh Father: supposed to be performed after "Like a Prayer" or in the "Don't Tell Me" section.
Sorry: probably performed after "Hung Up" or supposed to be performed in the "Don't Tell Me" section.
Hold Tight: performed after "Don't Cry for Me Argentina"; deleted for "La Isla Bonita".
 
- Joan of Arc: on 01/11/2023 during the soundcheck, M rehearsed this song two times.

The 1995 Release would have been a great opportunity to dig out the full-length version of the song in my opinion. Sadly, we didn't even get a properly unmixed version on the compilation itself.

But again, it's not entirely on them. They have been waiting ages for unreleased stuff and this seemed like it was unreleased stuff. I wasn't jumping for joy, but I was interested - more so than in FEL lol. The partnership was announced over a year ago and nothing all that exciting has come out imo and this seemed like it could be actually new. FEL was cute, but there was nothing new and even the packaging was pretty lazy (the same pic 5 times lol).

Even this fanmade one was better and not very far removed from this official one which is the problem, how come such amateur job end up being picked ? Even Aldo diaz tries to at least work on the pic.

The problem is not the content, it's that awful new cover. The name and title are even blurred, meaning they"ve been enlarged from lower quality source to fit the pic which must come from a HD transfer. They should have just used the original artwork, it is iconic in its own right.
The Who's That Girl release had also a cheap picture transfer. The deluxe FEL cover is ugly (i mean that Celebration like background and reflexion on the glasses). They could have used that lame pic (there are better pics of Madonna from 1982 though) on the inner sleeve to differentiate it from the original. It's so, so...altavista, late 90's early 00's internet (and not in a good way). It reminds me of some awful fanmade covers frm Blogspot back in the day.

If M spent less time hanging with teenagers making trash videos to crap remixes like frozen and hung up and more time on this campaign I would get more excited - sorry but I can’t get excited for a format I have no use for ( vinyl ) for songs I’ve had for decades - didn’t the article from last month mention unreleased songs fans would die for ? You know the one where she was all over young guys for a change and being photoshopped to death 😴

It's so fucking ugly, it's hilarious and sad. 
Who's gonna buy that crap ? Buy the original, the cover is iconic...not this Getty images with a logo slapped on thing 

I have zero expectations for the remastered albums. I don't like FEL (she chose her worst remixes, discs 3&4 are not even good enough for trash and the deluxe version artwork is just lame). Now this. 
There is material from the 1st album, especially the demo versions of the songs she co-wrote & co-produced with Bray

you may be right, but we are talking of a special unique event. 40° anniversary is something that will never repeat. Fans are abit irritated, this we can understand. We know what other important artists do for their fans community. These releases clearly say: "you will never get the kind of stuff you desire".

This time it's not only the team. SHE signed the deal, SHE personally curated FEL. She doesn't want some special kind of material to be out. Now that's clear, this was the crucial occasion to intrigue the fans and give a glimpse to what comes next. So no, I'm not going on buying rehashed material. If I want, I listen to original releases and I turn the volume up. Money doesn't grow up in a field and I want to buy something that gives me pleasure, not for the sake to put it on a shelf. It's a music matter, we are not collecting ceramics anymore.

I think that’s what I’m most disappointed about at the end of the day. I really don’t mind these standard reissues of past singles, but the artwork is quite lazy. They just slapped the logo on a photo. The logo treatment could have even been positioned in a better way.

This September 6th will be the 35th Anniversary of the last show of the Who's That Girl World Tour which took place in Florence, Italy. All we know this show was recorded professionally and then used in the edit version of Ciao Italia. I wonder why 35 years later we don't have this images...
 
The drop of this concert could be the best gift of this special anniversary, couldn't be?

So I was watching the HBO promo spots that Club78boy has been uploading. One thing I noticed was the different angles they use, but more surprising was the brief moment in Open Your Heart. In the June 24th show we have, when she is on the stairs and sings "open your heart" she points at Oliver before bringing her hands into her chest. In the HBO promo she doesn't do this. 
The assumption was always that HBO got the June 24th show as a screener and used it for their commercials, however it seems they had more than one show. Anyone notice this?
I always assumed the reason June 24th leaked was because it came from HBO somehow, now I wonder what other shows they might have had and if they will ever leak. Maybe that is why we have a few songs from the Boston show?

my two cents... MTV had the exclusive for Houston as they sponsored the tour.  This meant that Dallas was the next city that footage could be serviced to news stations around the world.
 
As for the radio broadcast, if you listen to the bootleg recordings from both nights in Dallas, there were many mistakes during the first night. My theory is they planned on recording the first night - but she addressed the crowed as Houston and then kept apologizing during the opening of Holiday. Vogue also was a mess as the "snaps" were completely off during the intro and they just stopped them at some point. Westwood One must have recorded the second night to "fill in the gaps" of all the mistakes during opening night...
