BTW, what is the reggae song in yesterday's IG Stories? @stefo
Doesn't sound like Future.
Loce the live sound, finally?
That's Future. The chord progression is the same.

Said that, I'm sure we still gonna have good surprises about the set list. I'm sure this list is missing at least three or four major hits, especially from the 80s (I bet on a Like a Virgin fado rendition, wich she already used in the Madame X doc, and Live to tell, missing from almost 15 years), and it will be flexible in some points, as in the third set of the RHT: she is going to sing old gems from city to city (my prayers are all for Secret and Rain with the Batukadeiras chorus).
Anyway the voice ensemble this time is amazing, not just the big choir, but also the new backing vocals (how long this wait has been?!) and the orchestrations from the rehearsals sound so smooth and musical (The Human Nature and Future posted vids are incredible) that it does seem like a dream to me!!!
She has already done Like a Virgin on the last two tours. I think this tour won't have many ACTUAL hits looking at her song choices so far. Besides, the setlist already has 24 songs. There isn't much room for more as she's not the type to do many medleys on tour.
There are rumors that she will go on a greatest hits tour after this one, so it's quite likely she'll do some unexpected song choices for this tour and save the hits for the tour after that.
-
Songs hinted so far:
- Like a Prayer (Batuka Prayer?) (from rehearsals and performances during the era & lyric book)
- Vogue (from rehearsals and performances during the era)
- Justify My Love (caption during workshop)
- Rescue Me (from rehersals and captions)
- Human Nature (from rehearsals and workshop)
- Forbidden Love '94 (caption from rehearsals)
- Frozen (from workshop)
- American Life (from rehearsals and performances during the era)
- X-Static Process (caption during rehearsals)
- Easy Ride (from rehearsals & lyric book)
- Candy Shop (audio in the background of instagram post)
- Medellín (from rehearsals)
- Dark Ballet (lyric book & rehearsals)
- God Control (from rehearsals and pride performance)
- Future (from rehearsals)
- Batuka (from rehearsals & lyric book)
- Killers Who Are Partying (from rehearsals & lyric book)
- Crave (from rehearsals)
- Crazy (from rehersals & lyric book)
- Come Alive (instrument used in song was hinted in instagram post)
- Extreme Occident (lyric book and rehearsals)
- I Don't Search I Find (lyric book and rehearsals)
- I Rise (rehearsal and pride performance)
- Faz Gostoso (rehearsed for Pride apparently, hinted in several instagram posts)
- Sodade (lyric book)
Green songs are basically confirmed. The others are weak speculations.

Charts mean nothing now
Dark Ballet is definitely the best song released so far from Madame X it's not commercial at all and this is what I want from her
It's literally the worst

Flopping.

Does she not remember any of the other songs from Bedtime Stories? Human Nature was by far the least successful one and the last times she performed it were downright embarrassing.
This song doesn't deserve a fourth tour performance if Secret, Take a Bow, Bedtime Story, You'll See or any of the other 90s singles can barely get one tour appearance.

All the remixes from RH were terrible so I won’t be too disappointed- I just want her to have a Hot 100 hit please ?
Honey, as sad as it is but her chances of even charting on the Bubbling Under Charts are very very low. The song is already out of the US iTunes Top 100 and it's not doing well in the US on any platform. It's not going to happen, and I know you'll hate me for saying it, but especially not with this song.

We need the team to release the official remixes ASAP
I don't think there will be any official remixes. Remix EPs aren't being commissioned anymore. Most artists just release the song and that's it.

no real fan would take pleasure that a song of hers flops ...wtf ...
No fake fan would have an "audio contributer badge" or have the amount of upvotes I got.
I've been a fan of this woman ever since I was a child. I've been listening to her music non-stop since then. I know what she's capable of and to me this song is probably her least authentic move in a very long time.

Holiday:
You Can Dance Single Edit
- It was done by Jellybean, the original producer of the song himself and it's by far the best edit of the song that doesn't sound too different from the original. It's along the lines of the original 7" Edit but it sounds less choppy. The TIC version is also really good, if not better but it's very different from the original imo.
Lucky Star:
Q-Sound Mix / TIC Version
- This edit is the only one that properly manages to edit the song without any choppy transitions. The original edit has a very bad edit point at 2:00 for example where it goes from the "Cause I know you're gonna make everything alright" to "You may be my lucky star...". This has been fixed in the Q-Sound Mix
Borderline:
I went with the original 7" Edit but the Radio Version (from She's Breathless) is also quite good. The former one is the version used in the music video.

I’m a pretty unbiased superfan who calls the shit out when I see it. I can’t see how anyone thinks this is trash. It’s so much light hearted fun. Hopefully the slightly try hard at times Madonna of the last decade is behind us and she’s found her true rhythm again. This hits all the right notes for me. It sounds commercial and experimental at the same time.
One thing is for sure. Madonna’s team need to sort her streaming presence out big time. Her entire back catalogue should be sprawled over every relevant playlist. She really needs to bring her older fan base to streaming platforms by making some content available only on Spotify.
You have to play to the biggest market. She’s so behind the curve here. Target exclusive and physicals and all are great for collectors but streaming is king and will only increase in coming years until downloads and physicals make up a minuscule percentage of sales.
So far this campaign seems designed more to help Malumas profile than Madonna’s.
She’s .....nowhere to be seen anyway on Spotify. Hopefully this is remedied tomorrow.
I can't see how any one would think this is anything less than absolute fucking garbage. All of you were complaining about juvenile songs with trashy lyrics like B-Day Song or the alleged heavy auto-tune on RH songs.
This song combines but of these major points of critique and suddenly all of you force yourselves to like this song because you waited 4 long years for it? Embarrassing, sorry.

I think a flop would not stop her from doing anything. Maybe if the second (solo) single is more successful - which is impossible I think - she’ll do less collabs but it’s obvious she enjoys them so I think they’ll keep coming. My problem is not that it's a collab. The song is just absolutely terrible. She's better off having people help her write beautiful melodies and lyrics. This song is just...TRAGIC.

Holiday wasn't the song that got her the record deal, though.
It was EVERYGODLY

Stop hating on Holy Water. That song is iconic. I will not take any slander for this gem. That and S.E.X. are some of the most well-produced tracks on the album. There isn't anything like that in her discography.

Okay, so Madonna's greatest hits are actually big sellers and they do rather well in streaming but lbr...the last two are lazy as SHIT. So, I was thinking...what if they actually continued the original idea of having "religious titles" for her greatest hits albums?
