I feel like all of her major projects have been Spring releases for at least 15 years now?

I absolutely adore Gambler and the energy she gives in the vocal delivery on the track (not to mention the only recording of her whistling!!) Such a shame it has been neglected thus far.  I'm putting all my hopes that Warner will include it on the eventual re-issue of LAV where it should have been included in the first place.
It's not quite of the solid-gold standards her catalogue would eventually rise to, but being one of only a handful of songs she wrote on her own, it does capture the raw ambition and grit she had in the early days better than most of the early material, except perhaps Over & Over and Burning Up.

I used to think she was trying to go for a younger crew - but I think she's well aware they ain't interested in her. She's doing music that she likes, whatever that is and is having fun. I think it's more about what she's into at the time then trying to be relevant.
Madame X is a good example - that's where she was at, at that time - it's not aimed at a young crowd, or any crowd really - it was just where she was at.

I didn't realise until the internet years that it was not released in the USA as it was a reasonably big hit here in the UK.
I was quite obsessed with it at the time. It was on a jukebox and I nearly got punched in the face for playing it repeatedly. 
I do hope it gets some recognition with the upcoming re-releases, but won't be surprised if it doesn't.

That makes no sense. With that logic, every remix should be counted as the original. It wouldn't give an accurate view on what people actually listen to. 
And for what? To inflate her numbers? Whilst every other artist's numbers inflate as well? Yuck. Give me transparency any day.

Wow, I'm the complete opposite. Honey's remix is the first time in many years I've heard M played out clubbing in a non queer setting. I think she nailed her remix. I did a show with her in 2019 when she was testing it out before release and I'll never forget the cheer through the crowd when the heavy bass/kick drum started. Shivers.

This Erotica remix by Honey Dijon is great. It sounds very similar to the original Underground Club Mix but more modern with a little of her touch. I wouldn't mind if she reworks some of the original remixes like this!
