I think she looks absolutely NOTHING like M. The Italian connection is missing completely. (There's a resemblance to Bubble of AbFab to be honest...) 
But I don't know her at all, maybe she's an impressive actress and she can convince as M.  Hope so!
 
 

I would picture Julia Garner more as Paula Ciccone than Madonna.

I've said for years, ONE free show in Central Park a la Miss Ross would be thee ticket. You would see how many people still love the shit out of her.
