  1. Ok i see it's causing a huge fuss on the board cause i said i find the Like a vigin album her most "dated" album. It seems i don't get the sense of "dated" very well. As most of you probably know, english is not my natural language so it can happen that i use a word when actually it doesn't precisely mean what i'm trying to say. First of all i'm never ever gonna judge a piece of art by its release date and if i had to do so i'll probably rate anything old way higher than anything new. May it be music, film or art in general, i prefer by far anything from the past. I usually don't really love anything made with virtual assistance, so in a way, i prefer everything made pre 2000. I get from the answers that have been posted that "dated" mean old and that's the last thing i'd use to qualify something i don't like, quite the opposite, old is a usually a guarantee of good quality for me when it comes to music and movies. Now to get back to the Like a Virgin topic, according to my tastes, it's her 80's album that i like the less. I think the tracks lacks a freshness (even that word i'm not sire is the right one to express what i feel). Even if it was 1984, i could say the same, so it's not a question of time or date that i wanna express. All of her 80ns album have a freshness, less for Like a Prayer but it's a personnal album so it's coherent. Like a Virgin, to me, is not a really personnal and doesn't have that freshness. I think it's better explained that way.

I will get annhilated for this but i cant stand this album. Dont get me wrong, i give it a whole listen once per year, but it's just so boring and lifeless compared to her other 80s work... Great single songs such as Love Dont Live, Dress You Up and title track but overall i just cant enjoy It... Hopefully they put Into The Groove and Crazy for You in a future edition, id enjoy it way more tbh

Musically speaking, "Like a Virgin" is the album that aged the most. In comparison her first album released more than one year before still sounds fresh to this day.

    yeah dramatically ...

Agree, 100%, it's one of the main points I'm not excited about this, I add. Surely Garner doesn't and NEVER will have it. Pough was a much better choice in terms of grit and expressiveness, still not close in terms of sweetness and sexyness though. She's so rare that it really had to be a bet to find the right girl. Because she also had to be trained apparently as the candidates had to face long dancing and singing casting rehearsals, so she hardly could have been a girl from the street.

Yeah actually the biggest and hardest challenge of that project is to find the right girl. It's also one of the most important point in my opinion, so the though search is really worth. Even it means searching in all the locals and underground dancing schools, it's worth it. I believe no famous actress can play Madonna, weither it's Julia, Florence or any other already known girl. They gotta find the rare, unknown and raw jewel.

  4. Hire a brilliant director and an unknown girl for the lead role. Cast the whole country to find a girl who has the magnetic beauty of Madonna. That's an important part of her personna. She's one of the most attractive girl of the show business, she has a unique beauty, italian face features with glamour and audacity in the face. They should find that unique girl somewhere... A raw talent. Even if it's in a farm of the south of the United States or in a small village of Italy... Just like when Jean-Jacques Beineix chose the young and unknow Beatrice Dalle for the movie 37°2 le matin ("Betty blue" in the US). He first saw her as she was homeless and begging for money on the streets of Paris.  The Madonna biopic needs that kind of raw and unique talent.

It is not WRONG. The person identified as Anna. Perhaps it was not the same Anna but the use of her name is why so many people believed it, because they believed it was her and that she was a reliable source. So yes, it had everything to do with Anna.

Ok now it's more accurate but in your original post you make it sound as if the Anna member (the real one) had been the source of this rumor. The one and only real Anna Hendstridge was posting on Fanzine only. Then some fake accounts using her nickname have started to pop up on various forums including PopJustice. That Gravepine rumor have been posted first on Popjustice, i was also on Poojustice at that time, chatting in the Madonna thread the very day that Gavepine rumor have been posted. I've copied and pasted the supposed info on MadonnaFanzine the same day, and we've started discussing the rumor. Maybe the member of PopJustice who have posted it first was passing himself as Anna but it was not the real one. As stated by some members here a few weeks ago, Anna Henstridge is now said to be a guy who was part of the people who had hacked one of Madonna's server, remember the unstoppable outtakes leaks. All Anna's info were accurate for the good reason it was coming directly from Madonna's server.

Oh and there was also the rumour from Anna the “Secret Project” Madonna kept teasing was a cover of ‘Head it through the grapevine.’ She kept giving all these random clues and that was what fans deciphered.

Wrong. The "Gravepine" rumor wasn't from Anna it was from a member of PopJustice. I was the one who has posted about it on Fanzine. Nothing to do with Anna 😉
