The kbps are due to the compression on the bytes themselves, the audio is 1:1 identical. There is NO difference, except FLAC is a smaller file size. The files in a flac are not "cut", you're basing the quality on something you shouldn't be that doesn't actually mean anything. Look at the spectrogram. Nothing is lost. Invert a flac and a wav against each other in Audacity, it 100% cancels out, because the audio stream is identical. It's like saying a wav in a zip file isn't really lossless because the zip file is smaller than it would be unzipped.

I mean, I hate APE too but FLAC is 100% lossless. It just compresses the data, but not the audio stream. WAV is honestly just bloated.

I agree with that, I don't personally care about the Vogue extended mix being in HD. My main issue is that it has the Rockamerica tags on it still, along with being pretty subpar quality and super cropped. I just don't understand why it would've been posted if the didn't have the original video for it.

Ok, apparently it's wrong for me to hold official releases to a high standard. Duly noted. I used to be content to have a bad cassette recording of a song playing over the radio, just to have it. That doesn't mean that quality would be ok to officially release. I don't know why that's a controversial opinion to hold lol

It is. It is not acceptable for an artist to upload something that is heavily cropped, in rather poor quality, and not even from the original master. It has the Rockamerica tags still on it. Even smaller artists who have been forgotten by this point will not upload old videos unless they can find a proper HQ version first (note that I'm not saying HD). For who may be the definitive artist of the 80s, this just isn't something that should be happening. It's ridiculous. Official releases should be held to a high standard.

I mean. I don't think it's about it needing to be in HD as much as it's not a good quality version of the video, AND it's sourced from a DJ pool, with the tags still on it! I understand for a bootleg tape, that's ok, but this isn't a bootleg tape, it's an official upload onto Madonna's official YouTube channel. That's unacceptable.

Easily Scream & Shout. Even if she's barely on it, the video has lewks, and it is at least an enjoyable song. None of those things can be said for Ooh La La

This is definitely just a stem mix using the unused vocals that leaked. The real Something's Coming Over Me doesn't sound much Secret, according to the report we got.

Give it a few months, after Secret came out I think we're getting more. Things normally leak around the same time, I've noticed... Although I'm still hoping we get the other version of the Secret b-roll that has all the footage and isn't timecoded.
