I read an article some time ago saying most artists with the means still film and document their most important live performances, including their concert tours, but I think with physical media sales dropping, most don't bother releasing them at all, I'm glad to see this resurrection happening on streaming services.
But yeah, I think we're lucky we have all but one tour fully released commercially at one point or the other. We saw her supervising the MX Tour editing, I don't think it's going the way of the RIT, it will just come #soon.

I've had people tell me that some songs in my made-up setlists aren't super realistic because I usually have songs that didn't chart in the Hot 100 and are unknown to the general public, which I always thought was funny because a) the world isn't the US and M had international hits that were ignored by the Hot 100 up until she left Warner, b) pretty sure the gp wouldn't mind sitting through Get Together in a show where they'd also get Like a Virgin, Dress You Up, Don't Tell Me, etc., c) the general public might fill out the arenas, but the super fans are the ones who'll stick with her if she's playing the Starbucks in the corner and I find a moderate dose of fan service/pandering to be a really good way business decision, since focusing too much on the general public has gotten us a bunch of similar arrangements of Holiday and LIB over and over again that sound rushed and like they were just thrown in there and d) it's fake.

I can't remember if I've posted my version of the Madame X Tour here and even though it's not all that different, here:

21. I RiseI liked the idea of an intimate theater tour a lot, I just would've done fewer dates in each city (a maximum of 6) and more cities/countries, make something really special and limited for the super fans. I don't understand why she did 14 dates in New York if she could've played two arena shows and had about the same attendance.
-
Okay, I'm terrible at naming things, so ignore all the act names.
What I'm thinking is M wakes up one day next year and she's like "Hey! Next year will be my 40th industry anniversary. I was super bored during quarantine and the Madame X Tour didn't go as planned and I've never bothered to preserve my legacy so I think I'll do something different and give the fans what they want. *picks up phone* Stuart? You're in."
So this is my Greatest Hits Dream Setlist that is TOTALLY undoable even though I've envisioned many of these songs being performed in shorter versions to fit everything in in a ~150 min show and it having less complex dance numbers for M so she can rest her body and voice and not die of exhaustion. For starters, there are many songs here I think M has completely forgotten about and I imagine this as (somewhat limited*) stadium tour with more elaborate technology and staging than The MDNA Tour.
But a guy can dream:

30. Hung Up
31. Like a Prayer
32. Ray of LightAct I would be very New York in the 80's theme, as if it were re-introducing Madonna to us again. Act II would comments on/poke fun/critique the media's image of M throughout the decades. Act III would be M pushing boundaries and not being afraid to be sexual in her terms, regardless of the backlash. Act IV would sort of be M commenting on her many loves and heartbreaks throughout the years. Act V would be Political!Donna. Act VI would be a big celebration party to get everyone dancing and a big thank you to her fans. I tried to build the setlist, including the interludes, around each themes.

As i understand it, Billboard just report the numbers that are given to them. The obvious discrepancy in some attendance totals compared to venue capacity, together with first hand experience from shows has lead some to speculate a sell out number is anything equal to or higher than a target figure the promoter had in mind. This seems like a reasonable theory but really that's all it is. So basically a show is sold out when the promoter says it is.
The venue capacity thing is questionable, I guess. Depending on the stage and how many seats are put on sale for the floor section.
For example, the AT&T Stadium in Arlington has an 80,000 people capacity expandable to 105,000, but according to Billboard, Taylor Swift sold out two dates of her Reputation Tour with a total of 105,002 tickets sold (or 52,501 per night).
At first glance, this looks like a clear-cut case of tampering, but the second show was filmed for Netflix and you can clearly see everything except for obviously the seats behind the stage is filled.
...but again, even if the stage obscured, say, 1/4 (20,000) of the stadium, the floor would still get the number of available seats up from the 60,000 seats left on the stadium stands.
So yeah. I don't know how this works.
-
I'm genuinely wondering: how do they fake sell-outs? Doesn't Billboard check those?

I think if she did a properly remastered four/five disc greatest hits spanning her entire career, like Celebration was meant to be before Warner dropped the ball, I don't really see why not.
It'd be awesome to have the single remix edit of True Blue, for example, although personally I would rather have all her albums up until Music remastered and re-released in special deluxe editions like Kylie did with her first six albums.
I will admit though that the greatest hits is coming from a fan perspective. I'm not sure how much interest people have in compilations anymore since every streaming service has an Essentials playlist for every artist. But then, Kylie did score another #1 in the UK with this year's Step Back in Time album, so who knows?

We know Madonna doesn't give a damn about celebrating the anniversary of her albums... so why complain when we are actually getting something? It's not like you're losing money, dude. There are people out there who don't buy physicals so now they can stream these gorgeous extended remixes whenever they want.
Most of us already have the original and complete Like a Prayer album in multiple formats so why bother criticizing the absence of 2 tracks in a digital platform?
THE NEED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING!
I'd also like to add that the original album is still very much there, available in every streaming platform.
They didn't remove it, it's still there in all its unremastered glory, so it's not like we're losing anything (I'd pissed if they'd replaced it too), we're gaining something.
Don't like/is disappointed by the 30th anniversary version? Absolutely fine and valid - again, not what the album deserved - but what we have is an addition, not a loss or replacement.

I liked it.
It's not perfect nor what this album deserved, but at least they had something and it didn't go completely ignored like the ROL/Erotica anniversaries did, with just some vague lip-service paid to it by whoever* is managing her non-personal posts on social media.
*btw, i mean no offense to this person, you can tell they are really trying but are provided with nothing to work with.

I too think she should have released Girl Gone Wild as the first single. I get what she was trying to do with Give Me All Your Luvin', but I don't think she succeeded at all.
The thing about MDNA is that it always left me with the impression it was a rush job, especially after William Orbit said he barely ever saw and spent time with M when they were working on it. I mean, she had the Super Bowl going, W.E. had just been released and finished a few months prior, then she was doing some press for it, making the Truth or Dare perfume and working on the pulled lingerie project all while making an album with an elaborate tour opening less than three months after it dropped.
As it is, I would have gone this route:
1. Girl Gone Wild (super generic and super dated with that distinct 2012 EDM sound, but while it was not gonna be the single that gave her another Hot 100 #1, it would've fared better internationally and the video + it being a lead single would receive some attention, like GAYL did, especially due to it being the Super Bowl song)
2. I Don't Give A (feat. Nicki Minaj) (Nicki was at her height and with a proper participation on the video, especially if she released it shortly after the Super Bowl, I'm sure it would have garnered a fair amount of interest)
3. Gang Bang (if she had made the video she wanted, even without Quentin T*rantino, and released this as a single, I'm 100% sure it would have been a huge hit on the dance/club charts)
4. Falling Free (simply because she was right in that it's one of the best songs in the album and a nice way to close such an angry cycle of singles. Like others have mentioned, she could release a remix for radio stations, film the video she wanted to make with the original arrangement and perform it on tour)
As for Rebel Heart, we know it ended up being a rush job due to the leaks. It has never been confirmed, I believe, but I do think she rushed and re-worked most of the tracks so they'd be different from the leaked versions in a desperate attempt not to let it impact album sales by offering something that wasn't identical to what was circulating for free. As it is, though, I do think Living for Love was the best lead she could choose. Still, I think maybe this could've worked better:
1. Rebel Heart (promotional single to hype-up the album a bit)
2. Bitch I'm Madonna (I know Cardi B wasn't really a thing yet, but I do think she should have gotten someone else to do this feature with her. She'd already done two with Nicki, so there was no novelty there. Still, even if the song itself was deeply disappointing to me, it would be a statement that would gather some attention and it's probably the most radio-friendly song in the album)
3. Living for Love
4. Ghosttown (sorry, I love it too much not to have it as a single)
Although what I would've liked:
1. Living for Love
2. Ghosttown
3. Unapologetic Bitch
4. Rebel Heart
-
They don't, she just hasn't put out any songs that connected to casual-listener teenagers since 4 Minutes.
That coupled with ageism and that dumb feud with Stephanie, plus the fact American radio stations basically boycotted her after American Life and that Interscope does not care about promoting her new records anyway making it basically impossible for her new work to get mainstream/general public attention, and, well... I doubt she'll be able to connect with the ~YOUTHS~ unless she's featured in a huge hit-single by someone like Ariana Grande or Cardi B (featured, not the main artist featuring them).
I mean, even Britney Spears and P!nk appear to be fading a little in charts, for lots of different reasons, sure, except maybe ageism is starting to play there + not connecting to the younglins anymore.
-
as for the next tour...
i need to listen to the album first, but i really hope the following songs make a re-appearance, if they fit the new album's sound:
- Everybody
- Live to Tell
- Open Your Heart
- Cherish
- Frozen
- Ray of Light
- Drowned World/Substitute for Love
- Beautiful Stranger
- Don't Tell Me
- American Life / Hollywood (I think they'd work better as a mash-up)
- Hung Up
- Get Together -

Anybody knows the logic behind releasing these in this order?
I get some were to celebrate anniversaries, but that doesn't appear to be set in stone.
Also, as a P.S., it really bothers me that TIDAL has the GAYL and Human Nature singles in the studio album sessions + wrong year listings for a bunch of the remixes. XD
