Guy Richie has always been a huge mystery to me as a fan. I usually don't care much about her personal life as I try to focus on her work, but it's impossible to not see how much of a deviation he was in hindsight.
Here's a girl who's always been with latin & black men (Basquiat, Tupac, Dennis Rodman, Carlos Léon, Brahim, Ahlamalik) and bad boy types (Tony Ward, Sean Penn, Jesus Luz). Basically, artistic (outcast) men who deviated from the norm, from the types of men blond white women in her position usually dated. And she's always seemed happy over the years, even though the relationships themselves didn't last much. But hey, she's free-spirited.

AND then, all of a sudden... Guy Ritchie. A white rich male on top of the world, born and raised in a first world country like Britain where men from his generation are still misogynistic and homophobic (two things that really are so out of the Madonna sphere) and whose main hobby is "going to pubs". Not only does she marry him, she bears him a child AND becomes a british housewife with a fake accent writing children's books and wearing flower dresses. A complete 180º change.
To this day I don't know why she fell for him, I don't know what happened between them, I don't know if she wanted more stability after Lola was born, I don't know the effect he caused on her to provoke such a change in her. But the truth is, like the fan before me said, he changed/destroyed something in her. Even the divorce was way more difficult and harder than the one with Sean Penn was - and Sean apparently even beat her! Something has always seemed so off that she was STILL talking about the divorce 4 years later in the MDNA album. In Rebel Heart, the whole Rocco thing choosing his father made her visibly upset for the first time on a tour. 
I believe, to this day, that so much more happened between them in closed doors than just him calling her a granny, the homophobia towards Chris, etc. I honestly think that over the years he was so forceful of old-fashioned, the-man-is-in-charge status-quos upon her that she, maybe out of love?, went along and lost a bit of her strength in the process. He reads to me like so many men I see here in Portugal actually, who during years and years emotionally manipulate women to slowly lose their confidence and become almost dependent on them.
I also think the quality of her work lessened after the divorce due to various factors like her age, the change of record label, the rise of the streaming era, changes in the musical industry, etc - not just the divorce.

I hope it goes straight to blue ray or dvd or whatever and not some dumb ass “EPIX exclusive. “ “showtime exclusive” etc etc etc I don’t want to subscribe to a new service hun I want my madame x direct haha. Ahhhh. We all know it will be going to amazon prime or whatever won’t it? Ok I have subscribe to Hulu and Netflix can u just do one of those pleeeeeeease if it must be exclusive. Haha.

Imagine justify and defending this. A limited SEX reissue or something worth the price tag would be more of an event than simply selling the remaining stock. Those SHOULD be given to those who had VIP and the show was cancelled.

Ok I had a problem with the piano during future too. Why? Why use it as a prop? Using the guitar during burning up on rebel heart worked cause she comes down into the audience and does montes pittmans solo or whatever but sitting and pretending to play the piano is weak and that late in the show it is simply boring. My opinion of course lol

Fun little tidbit:
 A guy I work with was at this show and he said M did this performance THREE times! He said it was a little bizarre because they were all pretty much the same. And the audience hype man was trying to get them to be into it for all the performances.  Jimmy Fallon left after the first one. And when she finished the third one she took her ear piece out and just walked off. ? No love for the crowd who just watched her sing Borderline REALLY SLOW three times in a row.

I usually feel bad for the fans who are put out traveling to the concerts and then being cancelled at the zero hour but at this point I am more worried about Madonna!
