Of course yeah, I just think all the others had more hits to fill their time with. Katy was pretty new when she performed but she had a huge album with 5 number one hits. Black Eyed Peas had had a decade of career at least before they invited them, so did Maroon 5. The Weeknd for some reason I can only name like 4-5 songs. But I do believe he has a lot to offer, his tunes pretty much save today's music. I just hope they don't invite Billie Eilish next year.

Well they had the Black Eyed Peas and Maroon 5, I can’t see The Weekend being as subpar as they were is doubtful. I find him more an artist than they were but maybe that’s a generational thing. I don’t see many if any artist lasting like Madonna has. Britney and Justin barely made it out of a decade of their solo careers. Katy Perry barely is lately. Let us sit back and see what is to unfold. I mean, nothing beats what Madonna has already done there but doesn’t mean we can’t indulge it, lol

I refuse to believe there was no actual emotion behind This Used To Be My Playground. It's a heartbreaking song and sure makes my top five by her. I'll remember on the other hand sounds like a song no one ever would remember recording. I still believe though that there are singles she dislikes way more, like Into The Groove, Like A Virgin, Sorry etc.

I think about this stuff from time to time and I try to determine if:
She hasn't changed much really over time, but I've aged and maybe look up to her less as an idol and just appreciate her more for what she's given me over the years (and truly appreciate her output, certainly more during my adolescent years when I really needed someone to look up to) - and all of this is okay Celebrity in general has changed. What used to be ROCK behaviour is now seen as silly or inappropriate, crass -- and her audience has shifted how they view her - but she's not been allowed to have the same adjustment or doesn't know what to do/how to adjust in response and when she does she's called out for it - maybe she can't win Social media has made our relationship too intimate to the point that somewhere along the line she jumped the shark and stopped being the slick creamy smooth pop icon goddess and became my strange 60-year old aunt that never grew up and we can't see her the other way anymore? Like we used to call her our Queen, but now she calls herself the Queen. That's different. MJ calling himself the King of Pop always felt stupid. It's different when people call you that but you can't call yourself that ..  The mystery is gone. We're part of every decision or it seems we're part of every step - so there's little surprise left. Remember when Girlie Show was about to start in London in 93? The world was WAITING to see what her HAIR would be like. HER HAIR. In some ways I wish her social media would simply be official statements from a version of Liz again. Madonna is removed from it. We don't get to see her bathroom or what she does with her kids during lockdown.  I don't know. 

Celebration album version is one of her most underrated tracks. The one thing I love the most about it is that within the first five seconds it already has its own identity, like Holiday does. That version and some nice choreography including Nicki Minaj and MIA, asking them to dance when they almost never dance live (come join the party, no more hesitation) would have been a hot moment.

Because at the end of the day, every new Madonna release, every big performance she does will end up with Celebration album blowing up on the charts more than any other. Ray of light should also earn a spot there to honour the 90's. Hung Up I'm not sure. It's the kind of song that would likely erase all the others performed live. So yeah I'd add those two I think. By the way I won't mind if I never hear Like A Prayer live again. Great song, I'm just bored of it so far along in the 21st century.

half time show will last 24 minutes and it will be pre recorded. Not building the stage he will have more time for the show! I think Madonna could take part in these conditions. Who knows...maybe she has already recorded her part ;) #dreaming

Okay so NOW that we're all talking about it, and I'm sure there's been a thread about it way back, how would y'all change it? Different songs, more songs, different opening...?

Personally I think Music was too long, but I LOVED how well Party Rock went with it. I think that should have opened with the song Music as a mashup, giving more room for other inclusions.
Get rid of the Open Your Heart/EY part. MDNA tour's Papa Don't Preach was probably shorter lol.
Personally I would have loved to hear Into the Groove or close with Hung Up or Holiday (as per usual Madonna fashion). 
Opening with Vogue I think was perfect.

Living for love at the Grammys was pretty much acclaimed as her introductory performance to the new era. Most watched performance of the entire show if I remember correctly. Her performance of Ghosttown with Taylor Swift also got her great reviews. Medellin wowed people. You can't tell if a performance of hers is well received judging from here because here the fans always have something negative to say. The live crowd on the other hand may never have watched Madonna perform before and she usually doesn't fail to get everyone's attention.

I can understand your feelings, I think the same. Lately I'm more worried when a performance of her is announced, than excited. 
She did good things in the last 10 years though. Superbowl, All the Rebel Heart promo performances (including the Brits one), and also Billboard with Maluma. 

She's just changed. For better or for worse, we can't blame her for changing. It's what we all do. Sure I wish she was still the Blond Ambition-era Madonna who could do no wrong, but she's not that person anymore. I put most of the changes in her personality down to having children and spending all her time with them, some of it to age and some of it to divorce but we'll never know for sure. I'd rather she be herself even if it's cheesy than pretend to be something she's not.

She didn't become anything in particular. It seems you just stopped liking her - or liking her as much as you did before. And that's OK, we all change. 
I agree with you though there was a shift in 2013-2014 when she started looking at her past and referencing herself for the first time.
The Super Bowl "happy faces", while she was playing safe, no doubt, have always been there since "Holiday"! Part of her "making people happy" performance face:

That Barbie doll look would have looked perfect for her Hard Candy or MDNA era although I think she looked gorgeous in those too.

I'm going to have to say definitely no. If you listen to the official RH tour studio version tracks, the beginning pf the song uses the SB vocals, while the second chorus uses the album vocals.

Nothing is live. There is a studio version of the. Whole set that proofs that everything is prerecorded and later used as playback on stage.

When I saw it that night, I was very let down by the lipsynch. Rewatching it today, I appreciate the magic of the performance: the incredible sets and themes, the lights and projections, the perfect setlist, the choreographies, the guests, the  glamourous look and makeup. 

one of the most impressive things about her that I admire a lot is that she's constantly thinking out of the box, sometimes it works, sometimes could be confusing but she never let us down and her art down..after MadameX im 100% positive she will always deliver (forms of art, passion about kids and charities, initiatives) until she physically cant anymore <3

Shade or not I LOVE LOVE LOVED it. I don't like the shady reasoning behind it, but because I love M and Gaga equally, and mashed up two fabulous songs, it gave me life. The meaning behind it is cringeworthy lol but that stupid gay fan in me is screaming out of joy because it happened hahaha.
