I don't think a 'test recording' means it definitely was going to be A Single and more of 'what about this ?'
IF she'd a hit with this then I could have seen a Christmas Album being considered too which could be why it never proceeded ?
To some they are the height of naff-ness and are by Artists a bit desperate for sales ?
And it's a bit cooler to appear on a X-Mas album than do a whole one.
Kylie seems to have been Very Big in '88 and would have had A Hit with it ??
