The first album could be the exception to the demo side of things as there's not much else to work with and the 81-82 versions of tracks will likely form a good chunk of the film soundtrack (if it ever gets made!). My previous post was referring more to the demos of stuff that was already released on albums like Erotica, Ray of Light etc... with these albums, we know there are unreleased tracks in near-to-complete state as well as b-sides and rare remixes/extended versions that could make up a good package. Who knows though, just speculating...

I think there's a pretty good chance we'll get some unreleased completed tracks for this campaign, they'd be crazy to piss us off without at least giving us polished versions of what has already been leaked, but regarding rough demos, I'd say that's less likely. They'll save that for the fans who are still alive for the 50th Anniversary! By that point, the audience will very limited to collectors (see the new Blondie collection) and the main version of her biggest hits will be all the general public will listen to.

Think it’s probably just years of built up tension watching other fan bases get deluxe anniversary editions while Madonna fans have had fuck all. 
A lot of the angst will die down (hopefully) when we actually see the extent of what the first deluxe release will look like. I really think a good bunch of the hardcore who have been left luke warm by recent celebratory offerings are waiting on the deluxe propa to actually keep them at the Madonna table. If they ain’t done well it’s entirely possible they’ll just quietly depart the party. 
I think the Erotica pic disc and WTG EP are cute enough and appreciate the intention of the new remixes but they’re some of the most disposable things she’s ever done and I don’t think there’s actually anything in Madonna’s career that’s been disposable in terms of musical content. Ok maybe Hey You and a few b sides. 
FEL is a fan dream but they even tinkered with that and the the artwork felt sub par. I’m enjoying the ride for the most part but yeah I defo need to see whether the first deluxe is top class. There’s a lot riding in it for some of us. Years invested patiently waiting you might say. Things always get angtsy when you can smell the food in the kitchen but it’s not on your plate yet. 

Whilst she was broadly trashed by the tabloids and the more sensationalist news media at the time of Erotica, there was definitely a broader conversation about her work also happening on the fringes, so let's not completely re-write that everyone hated her. She still got lots of play on MTV Europe (maybe not for the title track), had regular 'think pieces' written about her as a general pop culture figure and had a few more top ten singles. I guess it depends on what sources of media you were exposed to at the time, but I definitely remember guys in school being fascinated with her as she had moved on from the less 'cool' pop-star persona of the 80s and I also remember seeing her on MTV in the afternoons after school (I was 14).
The one thing I'll say about the new video is that her relationship with the camera has changed somewhat in my view, her eye contact with it seems less certain and more .... performative (??). The way she would instinctively eyeball a camera in the past whilst dancing around and dare it to look into her eyes has been replaced by flickering glances or ....nervousness (??)... can't quite put my finger on it.
As for the moral high-horsers, get a grip, it's a fun, colourful, trashy, sexy, late-night Dominican street party. You wish you could have....

I've said this before, and I will say it again, you can disagree with a decision for artwork, you can say you don't like it - but do not personally attack the person who created it. 
If I witness this behavior -  I will not hesitate to be more liberal with the ban function.

Why would she?? With her close ties with Africa and the impact of British colonialism on the continent, she has a different view of the monarchy and is no hurry to applaud her. Meeting her for ten seconds at a high profile film premiere hardly means she should have any great feelings about her passing.
