I think the Die another day section represents the 00's overall not just family life.

It starts with Die another day which represents surviving the backlash from the 90's and her getting into the Kabbalah and starting her spiritual awakening. Don't tell me represents the Music era, which was another commercially successful era for her. Mother and father represents American life, her period of introspection and most importantly the adoption of her Malawian kids. All tied together in one song, so smart. I will survive and La Isla Bonita.... she just wanted to sing them and they fit best in this more acoustic section. Express yourself fits better with Don't cry for me Argentina as it represents her more political era and all-out activism that started around 2004 and continues to this day. 

I'm guessing here is where the cut section containing more dance-heavy numbers would have been, representing Confessions, Hard Candy, MDNA and Rebel heart. I don't search I find would have been an introduction to that section. Maybe there would have been a stronger focus on controversy as well on that section?

The last section with Bedtime story, Ray of light and Rain to me represents her current freedom to be true to herself. She has no contract binding her to release more music, she doesn't have anything left to prove so she doesn't need to chase commercial success. It's more like her Madame X era of being experimental and doing whatever she wants. And it ends with Rain, which is the end of the story, where Madonna sings mostly about being loved. Her family, her fans. Our love's coming down like rain. And this is probably why she replaced Frozen, as it is a song about NOT being loved.

Well, M would NEVER take away with LAP performance any opportunity to teach the true and raw history of Christianism from the point of view of the most marginalized people by this religion - the WOMEN, since the very beginning.

As I said in this thread, Madonna is culture, art and history. Nothing that comes from her is by chance. All things are real pieces to a puzzle.

I don’t think their presence in the show is confusing at all. They make perfect sense.

Like a Prayer = she’s questioning her faith in god after the AIDS epidemic. It was an end of an era. So many lives were lost. Artists, musicians, writers. So many creative people.

Hung Up = she’s continuing her journey of sexual exploits and living an exuberant indulgent lifestyle. It’s girl on girl action. She’s partying. Drinking. Experimenting. But it leads her down an unhappy path (Bad Girl). There’s also the subject of love with a significant other when analyzing the obsessive/annoyance double meaning of the HU lyrics.

But she's never really been like that though? Was she like that in the 90s? We can't know how much she's experimented, but I really don't think she ever lived an "exuberant indulgent lifestyle"
