I just wonder if you"ve ever seen this interview that was aired in Brazil, back in 2012 during her MDNA Tour.
The the brazilian host ( and close friend Luciano Huck) got to chat with the Queen in Miami, right after a concert.
The location was quite unusual: the bathroom of her hotel room.

I'd be perfectly fine if she went on a smaller-scale tour (smaller, not tiny!) and, for instance, performed all the songs she did during the request section of her RHT from top to bottom. With a mic stand, one outfit, two backing singers, a stage light, her playing the guitar on a few tracks. Maybe end the show with an oldie but goodie like Express Yourself or even Like a Prayer. No costume changes, no 'specialized production elements' (Sorry, I had to throw that in). Just an amazing performer doing what they are supposed to do: deliver an amazing performance!
If a smaller tour means smaller venues, okay. Maybe her management could agree on a touring deal with seated floors? Would I spend $150 for a ticket? Absolutely!

See Alanis' Jagged Little Pill 20th anniversary edition:

This new four-disc JAGGED LITTLE PILL: COLLECTOR'S EDITION includes remastered audio of the original album plus an entire disc of 10 unreleased demos from the era handpicked by Morissette from her archives, offering a deeper and more personal look at the classic album. Also included is a previously unreleased concert from 1995 as well as 2005's Jagged Little Pill Acoustic . Limited to 30,000 copies worldwide
In addition to selecting music for the set, Morissette dug into her personal collection to include never-before-seen photos and other ephemera from the time. She also contributes a new essay reflecting back on this time in her life along with stories behind the 10 demos she recorded between 1994-98, all of which are making their official debut here. The track "The Bottom Line" is possibly the most historically significant-it's the first song Morissette and album producer Glen Ballard wrote together within an hour of their very first meeting in 1994. Ballard also oversaw mixing and mastering for this collectors edition.

I get what you're saying but the actual arrangement of dates so close together, along with the logistics of moving to each city to me can only be blamed on BAD MANAGEMENT. And I'm do blame Madonna for a lot of things at times but for this, sorry, Guy needs to be sacked. He has consistently in my (and many other fans) opinion been a bad manager for Madonna. Whether it's been out of loyalty or the fact he's secured multi-million deals for her, I don't know why she keeps him around.
I can't see Madonna ever being the type of performer to be able to sit still and do a show. Even with Tears of a clown, she had to get up to move at certain points. I just don't think it's in her DNA, or if she went down this route then it would need to be a complete revamp of a show like many spoke about an anti tour - tour.
And I agree she LOVED the relaxed vibe of Rebel Heart Tour, it was awesome and plain to see. Whether or not she would go down this route of with Madame X tour and singing random songs/requests.... something in my gut tells me this won't be this type of show she does. Maybe I'll be proved wrong (probably) but it seems to me it's going to be a theatre show that won't change much (if any).
Finally, I can understand why this has disrupted your loyalty but I think the saving grace Madonna has in her touring career is for the most part she really does very rarely cancel concerts. Her record must be pretty high compared to a variety of other artists, but there is something I believe fundamentally wrong behind the scenes that isn't just related to her knee injury.

Why does it have to be you posing as her personal SJW?!
She disappointed thousands of her loyal fans with this tour! Let’s have some real talk about it: there are no 'highly specialized production elements' that led to the rescheduling. There are moving staircases and projections, that’s all. Someone in her team simply miscalculated the time it would take to move the show from one city to the next!
Addressing her knee injury: I know this might sound a little outlandish to ask but maybe she could have changed the show focusing more on the singing (Do I sound crazy? Would be interesting though - her being more relaxed as she's getting older with her amazing tone in the voice that is getting raspier with age)
I believe the reason M wanted to do a smaller-venue tour with residencies in selected cities was because the fans loved her request section at the Rebel Heart Tour so much. She was spontaneous about her song selection, didn't care when she would forget a lyric and wouldn't focus too much on being the greatest dancer in the world. That I think was essentially what she wanted the Madame X Tour to be.
Now that we've had such major setbacks as fans I can only understand everyone that is furious about the cancelled shows!

I can not stress often enough that I am too!
My boyfriend has planned to surprise me for my birthday and got the tickets months ahead. Luckily he got insurance for the hotel room right from the get-go, so, not all money is lost. But that really disrupted my loyalty towards Madonna. She's got so many fans paying top dollar to see the show, travelling half the world to get to a city she has decided to play just to get notified about M cancelling. I mean WTF?!

For someone who doesn't like to complain, you sure seem to complain about those who complain, and in turn they complain about you, creating an endless cycle of complaining.
What you did say was that she probably made her money. I didn't claim to know that she's made her money, but Ticketmaster seems to give a much bleaker image than the one you described, then you backtracked saying that she probably won't make a lot of money and that you don't care if she bombs for the remainder of her career..etc. which wasn't the original point. No one was really talking about whether you care if she fails or not.
Her music isn't gonna sound bad to me if she bombs now and I don't care about charts or anything, but it's sad to see the once-perfectionist who brought the best tech and the most recent crazy dance routines and biggest stages and screens to her shows is now settling for this, for whatever reason, it's irrelevant anyway. But it makes me sad that one of the biggest reasons for her underperforming is her own management and decision-making process. She doesn't have to follow my example, but I just wanted to give my two cents on the matter.

If you're gonna make statements about her making money or succeeding or whatever then you do have to provide proof for your words, or otherwise you're just making stuff up. Now you're moving goalposts saying that "she did it her way" who told you she did or she didn't? she could've not been given enough budget to tour arenas or stadiums and was only granted budget for this stage. Do we always have to make things up to make her look beyond criticism? Also why should anyone care if she did it her way or anyone else's way? how does that impact the product itself?
As for other promo opportunities, you stuck with the Oscars, forget the Oscars. The other two events could've been booked if she had some good management. You know, the same management that wasted Eurovision and countless other opportunities and let a fan create her single artworks from Rebel Heart era. Yeah, no wonder I have no faith in that management. We'll see how fine she will be, because from what I see, many people are able to score great seats from Ticketmaster, not resold stuff. I wish her nothing but the best but the bad management and scheduling is really showing its effect.

Does she also need to play football to sing at the Super Bowl or win a Grammy to sing at the Grammys? Also do you have data to back up your statement regarding the fact that she's "made her money", given that most dates are barely half sold? Do you think she's made enough money that she's beyond any promo?

This really sucks. She should be aware that we, as fans, are living with fear every day until our show(s) arrives, fear of them being cancelled or changed or whatever the fuck her team feels to do. It's ridiculous. One thing is cancelling because she's injured, which i TOTALLY understand and wish her the best of the best and a speedy recovery, and another thing is cancelling or changing all 1st shows in every city, because of production elements. Her team should have known better. The preparations for this tour were too rushed and we r getting the consecuences of that now. They should have tested every venue, every theatre, before announcing dates to see the time they were gonna need to fit every production element into each and every stage, so things like these won't happen. I'm really sorry for all of u guys affected by this. I can only hope my Lisbon show is not changed or cancelled. We'll see...

I believe she has been pushing herself because she has something to prove at 61. No matter the reasons, if she can't perform a show, the media will most likely build a narrative around her age, and even if they don't, I would not be surprised if Madonna thought they might. So she pushed herself through the pain until she just couldn't anymore.

From what I heard, Madonna had enough trouble selling out the Rebel Heart Tour and Live Nation cut back on her touring expenses considerably. The reason for the smaller tour was to do a show where she could be confident there would be no problem selling out. With how often she tours, it's no longer an event for the general public. It's just expected. Each tour was selling less than the previous. If she stopped touring for 8 years, the public would flock to see her. Now they just think they'll catch the next one in 2 or 3 years. No big deal. The demand isn't there.
As others have stated, the way this tour was handled was a disaster. I get that she was trying something new and almost reinventing the wheel, but the amount of boneheaded moves is staggering. I also don't get why they added more and more dates when the ones announced hadn't even sold out. Now if she cut back to the original schedule it looks like she's cancelling for reasons other than medical. She should give herself a break in between venues.
At any rate, she now doesn't owe Live Nation anymore tours and doesn't owe Interscope anymore albums. Hopefully she takes some time and really considers the ramifications of the contract she signs - at least make sure you have a real record label behind you!

I think the years after the last show of the Rebel Heart Tour were already a hiatus. It's obvious that long tours like that previous one, and then 3 years and a half break till she starts a new tour are not doing her favours anymore with her age. Probably the best thing will be resting, and schedule the things better. I can't understand the rush to do 80 dates all together, and then disapearing for 3 years, and then start again to rush everything with the next record.
Things doesn't work like that anymore, she should focus on less cities but big ones, arenas, and bigger breaks between dates.

I feel so bad for her. She wouldn't cancel unless she was in great pain and absolutely had too. I pray MadameX listens to her doctor and she does everything he says even if that means more cancelling. One thing is for sure...Madonna will be back with a vengeance when she can!! To our beautiful, passionate, strong, inspiring queen who never gives up. ??✨

I just hope she can recover from this knee injury and continue performing. I love her so much, I truly hope she feels better and takes this time to rest and enjoy Thanksgiving with her family ♥️
