  1. For what it seems she wants to do, and cover, I cannot see how a movie will even remotely be able to account for what she wants to share. If it's a movie, it'll be missing way too much, seem forced on certain limiting points and feel rushed. I don't want her to do it and think, "oh, but there's so much more I wanted to show but I couldn't due to time". I say just make it a series. That way the pacing, events and story the way she wants to make it can be a reality. She can categorize it and pace it out to how she wishes. I personally get more invested with stories and characters in time throughout a series than in ever do in a movie to be honest. Plus, the majority of celebrity life stories I've seen are movies. She likes to be different and thorough - so I say why not do a series? I mean, the average person who doesn't care for her wouldn't watch a movie or series about her anyways, so if I were her, I'd do it the way I felt it deserved to be seen and appreciated. This seems to be more about telling her story through her eyes, her lived experience and not so much about sales or credit. They'll probably make a movie about her once she dies eventually, so why not have her do a more thorough version of her story where she can really explore and get all the events she really wants to reveal out there for the world to see.
  2. I just want to know if the DJ played 'Open Your Heart' at the reception....
  3. The SEX book, Erotica (song and album title), A Body of Evidence and American Life (song, album and video) are absolutely related to the decline of Madonna's popularity and success.
  4. I have always considered it a studio album, I even mentioned this in a different thread. I know it says "from and inspired by the film Dick Tracy", but there were also 2 other albums from this movie which i consider the real soundtrack and score from the film. I just feel I'm Breathless is a studio concept album from Madonna, but definitely a studio album. The songs inspired from the film didn't need to be made, she wanted to, and they're great. After all, it doesn't say "original motion picture soundtrack" anywhere on the album like it does for WTG.
  5. I've always personally counted I'm Breathless as a studio album since I clearly remember seeing the album and the official OST album side by side in stores in 1990. There was also another album of just the scores from the film. I'm Breathless is a concept album mind you, but I still consider it a studio album, even though technically it probably a soundtrack. 3 soundtracks for 1 film, lol.
  6. I adore the entire debut album, but my favourite track is Physical Attraction. I could listen to it every day and not get tired of it. Regarding the sound of albums though, my Like A Virgin German CD (with the yellow target design) is not only the first CD I ever bought in a store when music stores might have 10 only you could even buy), it's also one of the best sounding CD's I've ever owned. Immensely crisp and clean sounding. I had downloaded the HD version, and it and it pales dramatically in comparison. The CD itself is quite thin. Almost like there's no protective plastic over it or something.
  7. My favourite edit has got to be the edit of Borderline (aka video version). Although it is edited for length compared to the album version, there is also a big difference in it's instrumentation. I prefer it more than any other version. I don't care for the added bells that the extended dance mix or TIC version contain. Therefore, if you want to be technical, it really should be called the single mix/version.
  8. I took it as her "doing it first" recognizing the insanity of how people get shocked by something that isn't actually shocking... In other words, she knows what it's like to have the media flip out over something that they shouldn't.
  9. I personally enjoyed it. The video was cool, thousands were raised for a good cause, fans got a mini performance and M clearly had some fun! The performance was not meant to be some heavily choreographed spectacle. More of a little performance for people in the bar. Videos from people's phones never look that exceptional of things like this. Understandably so, it's not a stage. And I for one, would've fallen off that narrow bar before the 1st chorus of Hung Up. She didn't have to do it, but came out to support. If a bar was good for them, it was good for her. She decided to just support her favorite community and do a little casual performance. She wasn't forced to, she wanted to. Kind of a win/win to me.
  10. Angel. Although it's personally one of my favourites.
  11. Keep It Together I Don't Search I Find or Goodbye To Innocence?
  12. Open Your Heart Lo Que Siente La Mujer or Verás?
  13. Tough one. Honestly, my favourite is the 7" Dance Edit, which isn't on the list I see. It's apparently now the most rare too of all the officially released ones. It's the one I heard the most on the radio when I was a kid, so I have a special spot for it. I don't count Shep's 2 All Saints Mixes as they weren't officially released, although I love them. Are they even legit anyways? Even if so, their quality is so poor, I wouldn't be able to include them. So, from your list, I'd say the BAT version. It's EPIC.
  14. Don't Tell Me Cherish (7" Version) or Cherish (TIC Version)?
  15. I've been following this thread like a hawk, and even replied a while ago and didn't get a link. It's ok, he'll post when he's ready. I basically consider it a gift of something I adore but not a necessity. I think the work that has been put into it (which is probably harder than a lot of people ever have worked in anything) is ultra valuable to him and he wants to just have his time before or if he even posts it. Fair enough as it's his editing work and has poured his heart and soul and cash into this.
  16. If it were there, I'd vote for Lucky Star, as she was hesitant to release it as a single because she was so eager to release Like A Virgin.
  17. Did anyone who ever put money towards that project ever get reimbursed? That's some BS if they didn't.
  18. I wish I knew which Billy Steinberg & Tom Kelly song she rejected after she had recorded LAV. Who knows?
  19. The album covers, not the music. Hard Candy to me looks ridiculous. In fact, a lot of the pictures with the wrestling garb on, like the head piece, etc. just make me cringe so much. It looks like over trying to me, idk. And I didn't know for a long time that was a stool she was sitting on. I thought it was extra wrestling tape or something falling behind her, which made me look like she was squatting like she was going to the bathroom with a big long black thing falling out of her ass, as she seductively tries to bite tape off her hand because suddenly she has decided to needs to be a part of G.L.O.W. Besides the fact, those panties look like a diaper does not benefit this concept of photography in any way, shape or form unless it's a commercial for older wrestling ladies who need a boost in confidence and support for having urinary incontinence. The pictures in white (Snow Queen) are significantly better (and I don't mean the ones where she's in the corner where she looks like a 50 year old stripper in a padded room in a psych ward off her meds). Runner up below: The wires look ridiculous too. It makes her look like a "simple" person who got confused and ended up getting wires wrapped around her face and has no idea how to unravel them. So bad, to the point her mouth is all distorted with a "duh" look on her face. Her lips so badly pushed out, where she looks part-near like she has a cleft palette (which is fine if she did, but she does not). It's unfortunate because her skin, eyes and hair look amazing.
  20. I agree. Authenticity will always prevail.
  21. I'd buy that especially for the song "Whoever's In Malawi".
  22. That's what I'm thinking too! Outstanding work.
  23. LDLHA. Like An Angel Passing Through My Room OR Hung Up?
  24. I don't think COADF is not underrated at all. I absolutely love that album (except Push). In terms of overrated, the only one I'd agree to is Madame X. A couple songs are alright, but 90% of it is virtually unlistenable to me. I can't understand anything but English and even if I understood other languages, the robotic voice irritates me. I appreciate the variety of "world sounds" and I appreciate the originality of the album, but sonically I don't enjoy it at all, can't understand what's she's singing in a lot of it and due to the vocoder, it doesn't even sound like her to me. The majority of the songs actually annoy me and grate on my nerves listening to it, and that rarely ever occurs to me and never up until that point with a Madonna album. I'll never forget listening to it with friends, us all shaking our head in disbelief, laughing and asking "really"? I couldn't wait for the album to be over. I literally hated it. Such a change from Rebel Heart where I absolutely adored half the album like crazy (thought the other half was just ok). Anyways, different strokes for different folks. ???‍♂️
  25. I'd vote for Hany Panky if it were there, lol. That's my choice. ??
