it’s her best tour since confessions and we all know that’s because of Stuart price - his music production on it is outstanding- that opening beat of like a prayer is amazing - I really hope we get the official studio versions - would be a good thing to go with the live concert release 😘

It is now 26 months since Warner Music Group excitedly announced “a career-spanning partnership” with Madonna that will see a “multi-year catalog series”. Number of studio albums reissued since that announcement? Zero! We’ve had bits and bobs: ‘Erotica’ picture discs, Record Store Day releases that feature remixes of tracks from American Life, and most notably Finally Enough Love the mildly interesting best of/remix collection from 2022. The sloth-like pace has been frustrating. Madonna and Warners have been guilty of playing with their food and they need to get stuck in. They shouldn’t have missed the 40th anniversary of Madonna’s debut album but surely this will finally emerge in 2024. Only when we get an album box set can we judge the campaign and ascertain if “personally curated by Madonna” is a warning or a recommendation.

She’s never talked about rescue me video which has always irritated me as it’s ones of my fave songs of hers ever - I think a video was not filmed because she never wanted it released as a single plus she was rehearsing for the Oscar’s performance and editing TOD with Alek so that’s prob why - I thought CAC was inspired by the WTG film and her character with London - not Sean ?

There is no ROL reissue
if her team follow prince re-issues - there is no reason we cant get both unreleased songs and live recordings - so far its just been the same old crap pressed on different colour vinyls - no thought has gone into this yet ...

I don’t think anyone knows what “ remastering “ is now - it’s probably my most hated word on this forum now - all people do is just turn up the volume - remastering actually means going back to the multi tracks like Stuart has done with the celebration tour remixes - god I wish M would release those on streaming when the tour is over - I’m so over these single releases now and yet people want the same stuff we’ve had on our computers for years ???

Speaking of Angel which I love 😘 I was reading an old icon magazine from the 90s and liz smith says Madonna wrote it about Karen carpenter ? I never knew that ? 😘 I always thought this used to be my playground was her tribute to the carpenters

I would take a laserdisc over anything her team upscale - at least it’s in its original form and to me they are no more cumbersome than vinyl - you still have to turn those fuckers over and my laserdisc player plays both sides anyway so I don’t have to get up to change it - I still have a lot of music concerts on laserdisc that have yet to be released even on dvd so I’m keeping them 😉
