This is probably my fave discussion on M(Plus anything to do with unreleased demos and concerts) To be honest i dont know if this will ever happen. I dont care about 4k as no music videos are shot in 4k so at best its going to be just an upscale which i loathe anyway(even more so when fans upscale vhs/dvd files to 4k - whats the point ?? - just to get praise im sure ) i would be more than happy to just get true 1080p files with pcm stereo and pressed on a blu ray so i can watch whenever and wherever i want - i cant stand youtube video compression. To my knowledge though no major artist has yet to release any music videos on a blu ray (not even MJ) and there are plenty of artists who could that i would gladly buy(Gaga, Bjork, Prince, Belinda Carlisle, Garbage) Im not really a massive Carey fan but i was impressed with her daydream tour blu-ray and at least she bothers to release stuff from her archives(rarities), why cant M be botherde is the biggest question of all ??? she knows we all want it :(

I don’t think girlie show or drowned world were filmed in HD but confessions tour London and Paris RIT were - although there is a debate whether the full Paris RIT was filmed ( I think it was ) why they have never been released on blu ray is a mystery but I would love them ?

Agreed but I still think it’s been too long since she released something from her past - we’ve not had an unreleased demo since 2006 when history was released on the jump single and the piss poor upscales of her videos on YouTube leave a lot to be desired too ?

I just hope that her archives are being kept in good condition- I would hate to think that her demos from the 80s are being left to deteriorate and then we will never get to hear them ? seeing as how she “lost “ the Paris blond ambition tour footage im seriously worried about how her archives are being looked after ?

Should have been the b side to Ghosttown imo on the 2 track cd single and yes I agree should have been included on the super deluxe - there was plenty of space on disc 2 for it ?

Thanks - I was only curious about this track seeing as it’s never been available on a digital format only vinyl and the maxi cassette which I bought years ago - I wonder if it’s sourced from the cassette after reading your comments ?

I think dear Jessie was chosen as a potential Xmas number 1 in U.K. but it stalled at number 5 - I remember top of the pops played the video a lot too

All I can I say is thank god Fincher persuaded M to do a video to this and we never would have this mini movie masterpiece

The USA sheet music is probably the closest you will get to a 12” size picture - I have it and it’s gorgeous ?

This US release was a mess - only a cassette single and 7” with no cover - no wonder it charted so badly there and it’s even more criminal when it had such a legendary video ? I have the us promo cd which also had no cover ( same as cherish and EY but LAP did ?? ) strange marketing from Sire

shes a shell of the artist i used to love and admire - i really think its time to hang up her cape. that boom boom performance pretty much scuppered any respect i had for her :((( i think Madame X dvd will be the last project i will take any interest in

I have stuff scattered all over my house - I have a great blond ambition laserdisc pioneer poster in the lounge - I’ll try and send a pic I keep all my CDs upstairs in a book shelf though as I’m paranoid about them discolouration if I have on display shelf I thought about displaying my sheet music as I love the artwork especially on the 80s ones like Santa baby , oh father , dear Jessie , the look of love any other herb ritts ones ?

Never saw the tour but Im of course interested to see it but I have serious doubts about the editing especially after the dreadful work done on MDNA and RH films - it’s a theatre show not a pop video ? I just hope it’s at least watchable -

Who knows - didn’t someone on here say that contractually she has to release it on physical media but how would they even know that anyway unless they work a her record company ( whoever that is now ?)
