It has layers of meaning, but what does any of that have to do with the actual album? I find the title and concept interesting, but let’s be honest, it doesn’t apply to any of the songs on the album.

Thanks for the article and for the translation!
I guess the single cover would be the 1st version (Madonna request) and the final album cover the 2nd version - M/M's choice?

Looking back, both are incredibly bold and way too artistic. No wonder it was never going to be a big seller mainstream project. The Karens of the world would never see those covers and think "oh, let's get Madge's new album!" - "American Life" video debacle or not.
I remember also the Craig McDean drama. Weird, since anyway Madonna would be paying it back to Warner with her royalties. I guess it had to do with all the Maverick legal drama back then and they just wanted to punish her/f**k with her.

This is unreal. She’s trying to end us. Max has a very prescriptive way of working tho. It’s not a match I would have imagined but I’ve wished for it for the melodies alone.  I hope she hands herself over to him somewhat and trusts him.

Okay, THIS is a collaboration we should all properly be freaking out in excitement about. If there's anyone that could help Madonna have a proper #1 comeback hit, it's Max. This is huge and totally unexpected

I had no idea who he was so looked him up, this motherfucking man wrote Britney Spears’ ...Baby One More Time, Backstreet Boys’ I Want It That Way, 00s pop-rock bangers Kelly Clarkson’s Since U Been Gone, P!nk’s So What and sleek neo-disco tracks from the last decade The Weeknd’s Can’t Feel My Face, Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop the Feeling!.
Oh and when Taylor Swift was making her first proper pop album, 2014’s 1989, after starting her career as a country artist, she recruited Martin as her main collaborator.

Let's be real though, Madonna's MO is to do the opposite of what any fans want her to ever do, so she will do Candy Shop and you will like it.

I prefer to know all the details.  Her shows are so involved and going in I know I will miss so much.  I rather know what I'm looking for and even then the whole live experience is far better than any review, photo or fan recording or even pro footage.  I guess if I knew I could afford multiple shows, I would allow myself to be surprised more, but I'm not that fortunate, so I prefer to get spoiled before hand. I'm never disappointed by doing so.

If the tour is well received, I think that would be a fantastic idea, even more, it would be financially beneficial to Madonna.  I know some fans are still on the fence (not me) regarding this up and coming tour, but I can see a few things preventing people in going right now, like her habit of being late, and concerned the set list might not be to their liking.  I personally am not worried about the set list because I'm sure she'll have a majority of classics, and it won't upset me if she included a couple songs some don't consider her hits.  Also, if she did extend her tour like with the S&S, she could alter the set list again to include any songs she and fans might enjoy.  I'm up for whatever she decides to do.  Though, I think it's in her best interest to make this tour a huge success and concentrate on performing the most classics she can. (but it's impossible to satisfy all).  Not only that, try to keep the tour light and fun.  Stay away from politics or huge dividing issues this time around. Just perform like she did with her first couple of tours, where hit after hit was performed.

Everybody is the perfect opening for this tour, imo. 40 years since her debut single and it would make the entire venue pumped.

Technically, The Beast Within was never really counted as the opening. Just how Virgin Mary can't really count as the opening of MDNA.
She opened RIT with Vogue which was preceded by a video introduction that used The Beast Within.

I know I've said it a million times before but the tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of her first album, should obviously open with her first single: Everybody.
Aside from that, Everybody has THE most perfect opening line and the lyrics are also perfect to kick off her show. She could mix some of the spoken ad-libs from Celebration in there, maybe some Where's the Party excerpts too.
Anywho…Everybody is the most excellent choice and it hasn't been performed regularly on tour since 1993. The song could work very well with a slightly updated production too.

hasn't she used a dolly like this on previous tours to get from one end of the stage to another and back again during interludes and quick costume changes?

To be fair, it hasn't sounded good live since Live Earth in July 2007. After that she started these weird reinventions that haven't proved to surpass the energy and excitement of the original recorded version.

I think there are some familiar faces:
    Nicholas Hurchard
    Marvin Gofin according to @Voguerista
From some IG stories, I think Kupono and Daniele Sibilli were there too, cause they thanked Meghan.
    Any others?

Your characterization of Madonna in this post is the furthest thing from the truth. You couldn’t be more wrong. If you’re referring to Madame X as a messy show and her canceling some dates as proof of her being tipsy, may God forgive you. She had a knee injury and had to have hip replacement. She soldiered on in pain and refused to quit the show. If it wasn’t for the French government COVID decrees, one can only imagine what could have happened. The Maluma performance was her testing the waters after all that. It’s that fiery determination of hers that gave her the courage to do a World Tour yet again. I know of certain legends who quit performing after a setback literally for years( a decade actually) and others who died from the mere pressure of a tour. This woman is super human. RESPECT!!!!!!
