I think getting most of the big singles on digital and hd upgrades on YouTube is a good way to have all the hits all ready to go when the corresponding albums get the deluxe treatment later.

Who said I was surprised? I was just saying that this one especially seemed to upset her. I have been a Madonna fan since the 80's, nothing surprises me anymore. You guys think she is dealing with hate now, you have no idea how bad it was during Like a Prayer and Erotica. I dont know why the hell you are calling me out when I have been one of her strongest defenders on this forum.

*The problem is not the hate itself but the hipocrisy in fans who talk about freedom but then invalidates her for what she does with her body and act as ageist as others tho, nothing more 
 

Im glad she called out 50 cent for his trolling and made him come groveling with an apology and removal of his post (although I do think the response could have been smarter and less pity party) but this latest thing she posted on Instagram has me thinking she is pretty upset. She genuinely seems kinda hurt.

I grew up in a time before social media when not every aspect of someone's personal affairs was scrutinized to death. She does not look 63 and I dont care if she achieved that through plastic surgery, a good work ethic, healthy eating or a combination of all. I have looked at tons of pictures of Madonna then and now, her features really do not look very different at all. This whole plastic surgery speculation thing has been done to death and I am tired of hearing about it. It it none of our business and just imagine if Madonna actually looked like your average 63 year old? she would be getting tons of hate. She cant win with the trolls. Besides, I am surprised how much information that guy got wrong despite being a surgeon.

Not another fucking dance album. We have way too many since 2000. I want something with a more classic pop sound that includes some ballads. Something more inspired by Like a Prayer or Bedtime Stories. Im totally burned out on the dance albums and I think Madonna is also, which will reflect in her work. Something  pop that features  one potential high profile collaboration is what im thinking. She needs to go back to a more classic sound but updated, that did wonders for Elton John with his latest project.

If the main theme is survival as an artist, Live to tell is a good title.

If she does another big tour to support her movie, I want to see it being a greatest hits type of a thing with spectacular visuals. She can call it the Legacy Tour. Just think about how many records she could break with a world tour like that, it would be a huge success. This biopic, reissues and really big tour would be the perfect way to solidify her legacy in the public eye. Once she does that, I think that she can do whatever she wants in terms of super experimental stuff if she wants, I would really like to see one more big pop album from her though. 

Its tiktok related, im not on tiktok but all the people who are doing the challenge are syncing themselves in videos to align with the song. Rhianna was one of the ones who did Madonna's challenge I think.

Most overrated.....
Like a Virgin is the most overrated album as Madonna did not write many of the singles.  It just does not feel like a Madonna album to me, not in the same way that Rebel Heart or Ray of Light introduces us to her most intimate and secret parts.  Like a Virgin is more manufactured than any other M album.  She seemed to be less in control of her art than in any other effort.  Madonna's writing makes a "genuine" Madonna song/album, not just her unique pop sound.  
 
Most underrated....
Madame X... It is a brave and insanely, unique album.  It sounds like nothing else that anyone had previously released and is both current and mature in the best sorts of ways.  It is an album that none of her contemporaries would be able to or willing to create.  MX is Madonna on top of her game once again.  Madonna is trailblazing again and ignoring the trends.  
 

I will start this off with a less obvious choice than most for underrated and I am going with Music. I know it was a commercially successful follow up to ROL and produced a number one hit and yet I feel like today it is an album that is talked about less than American Life, Bedtime Stories and Erotica which are all supposedly more underrated. I devoted some time to actually listen to this record all the way through and it is fantastic and very ahead of its time, I dont hear fans say anything bad about Music because I never see it being discussed at all. My choice for overrated has got to be Like a Virgin, so many people know about this album, it was instrumental in her career and sold tons of copies, and yet I have always thought the lead singles were some of Madonna's weakest of the 80's. Not saying it is a bad album by any means, it just gets overhyped by old school fans who are judging based on nostalgia. This coming from a guy who became a fan in 1983.

I totally get your point, "Live To Tell" was a risk and the change of image too. But the music and the lyrics of the rest of the album? I'm not that sure. I wasn't aware of it at the time, of course, but I find "Papa Don't Preach" was more gimmicky than really controversial?
Don't get me wrong, they're all PERFECT pop songs, and that's why the album sold millions of copies and made her an established global superstar. But "Open Your Heart", "White Heat", "Where's The Party", "True Blue", "Jimmy Jimmy" or "Love Makes The World Go Round" are completely safe Madonna lyrics. It's a cute polished album, but not sexy or edgy like the first two.
The album is Madonna trying to achieve the Michael Jackson's blockbuster perfection of "Thriller" or later "Bad" - and doing it perfectly.
Of course this is just my point of view and, of course, I completely understand why "True Blue" was essential in her journey and one of her most important albums. Without "True Blue" there wouldn't be "Like A Prayer", "Erotica" and all the creative freedom that came after.
