lol and Madame X was penny pinching too? She paid from her own pocket to make 4 expensive videos and she never got that money back.
She also paid for the Madame X tour and she could have easily cash in on the insurance money and cancel the tour instead of putting on show after show in terrible pain.

And she lost her touch for doing groundbreaking music that also relates to a huge audience.
I think Madame X is groundbreaking and well crafted but doesn’t relate to mainstream like her iconic albums 

It’s the same project though. All her albums since MDNA had a standard cover and deluxe cover but that doesn’t mean they were different albums.

I think the whole point of this is that she’s seen all these other artists from her generation died and how their catalogue is handled. Seems like a lot of the releases are messy and badly curated, Michael Jackson’s standing out as the worst of them. And I think she wants to have control and present a much more cohesive vision and also enjoy the success while she’s alive. 
So I’m pretty sure she’s committed to release the best stuff from the vaults

Ha I guess this debate will go on forever especially since we’re rarely privy to how these decisions are made.
I don’t think guy is a bad manager when it comes to stuff she’s directly in charge of but the stuff she surely relies on her management for. For example I don’t think she decided to stop releasing 12” singles after leaving Warner or the messy digital rollout of MadameX just to give a couple examples of how her product is not properly delivered.
After all these years she does trust her I'm sure he has a certain influence over her (NFTs cough cough). And you’re proving that in your post. Madonna wanted one cover while him/Warner wanted something else. It seems like they managed to compromise.
Saying Madonna does what is wants is a bit reductive. I’m sure she relies on management and label for a lot of her decisions
