While I do agree I’ve noticed there are loads of old artists that release new Greatest Hits when there’s no necessity for them. I think putting something new on the shelves with new packaging and marketing probably reinvigorates interest even if the actual track list is not that different to the last Greatest Hits the artist/band did. So for that reason they may do one as 10 years is a long time ago really. Kylie’s previous one was in 2010 I think and the new one still went to #1 in the UK. These kinds of artists have a lot of collectors that buy multiple formats.
If they do do it I just hope it’s done properly with some nice surprises for fans. I wouldn’t expect any new songs from her but you never know. She surprised us with Celebration.

I would love a live album recording all her classic tracks - remember the production of borderline on the Jimmy Fallon show - I’m not usually a fan of Kevin Antunes but he did good on that one - either this or of course we all want unreleased demos - I’m not too fussed on remastering old albums because what does that even mean now - if you look at the prince re-issues they are great - you get demos , edits , remixes and the accompanying tour on dvd all in a nice package ;))

I was just having this debate with someone on Twitter and stumbled onto this forum/thread while searching for more information. I created this account in order to add my thoughts, which are in agreement with what @deathproof has been positing.
Like many of you, I purchased the CD the day it was released in NYC and vividly recall many of the advertisements and promotional materials reposted here (as well as others) which show Madonna right-side up (chin at the bottom). In those carefree days I would wander into record stores to check out the Madonna section for fun. This was the cover that I undoubtedly consider to be the original design and it wasn't until much later (at least a year I'd guess, but perhaps even longer) that I started noticing upside-down printings popping up.
It's important to keep in mind what @deathproof reminds us regarding Fabien Baron's status as an art director. The album cover is the central piece of key art in a record campaign, and Madonna was the biggest star on the planet in the 90s. An image this important gets put in front of SO many eyes before going to print - designers, the art director, photographer, record company, publicists, the star. Printing proof sheets, which get signed off on by handfuls of these people, are big collectibles online.
That is why I'm adamant that to say "Oh, they just made a mistake" (which conjures the idea of some intern at the printing press rotating the image to appear right-side up) is a cop-out. Even though it's not the way the photograph was shot, this is how the album cover was designed by Baron. And I think he made a brilliant choice - it's inviting and dreamy and draws you into her eyes, whereas the upside-down is much more alienating in my opinion.
So the question remains - why did they change it for certain pressings? That I cannot say - only speculate. Was there an agreement with Patrick Demarchelier that both would be produced? Did someone important later have a change of heart? Knowing Warner, perhaps they wanted a variant because they know we'll buy everything we can, including the same album multiple times LOL. What would be really cool is if someone could get a statement, on the record, from whoever was involved with the re-design. ✌?

As far as I'm aware, the song was never called You Thrill Me. The Rain Tapes always referred to it as Erotica. The chorus changed from the 'You thrill me' lyrics in the rough version to the 'Erotica' lyrics in the final version.
And the chorus was clearly changed quite late on as the MAW remixes feature the line 'I'm so in love with you' from the original chorus.

She didn't fall out with Shep. She saw they were rehashing a lot of what they had done prior and she wanted to go a different direction with the album. She thanked him for being understanding of it in the album credits.

BJork wasn't happy with Madonna's take on Bedtime Story so she released her own version of it with the original title "Sweet Intuition." She said she gave the song to Madonna as a favor for a friend of hers, not Madonna.

Don't Stop was infamously pushed as a single at some point.

Talks of a tour were bound to take place but scrapped once she began campaigns and vying for the part in Evita.  She considered the "Take a Bow" video her audition for it. I remember thinking it was part of Evita at some part. Became a fan in 05 so imagine go through her 90's videos and thinking it was part of the same lot.

The right side up/downside drama with the album cover.

Forbidden Love being the final single at some point before those plans were dropped.

I'm Breathless is definitely an album.  It contains more original songs that Madonna, Like a Virgin, True Blue, Like a Prayer, Music, American Life or Hard Candy.  Downgrading it to "soundtrack" status is due to it only selling a couple of million (low compared to any 80's Madonna release).  It is absolutely an album and a brilliant one at that.

Yes!! It only became an issue once she left Warner Bros. and they could (or would) not agree on the tally of what was considered actual albums and soundtrack albums/songs recorded for movies (Who’s That Girl, Into the Groove, Crazy For You, Evita, etc.)
Also, Dick Tracy already has a soundtrack album that includes songs from k.d. lang and other artists.
So for me, I’m Breathless will always be a studio album.

Pioneer no longer holds the rights to that release, they haven't in a long time. Mind you, THAT was for the Nice recording, NOT the Paris recording which is what this thread is about. And Pioneer had the rights to the laserdisc master, not the raw footage.
Also, IMDB is no different than wikipedia.

In early 2000s I remember reading on wikipedia's Madonna Unreleased Catalogue of a song from the Bedtime Stories sessions called "Honesty", produced by Dallas Austin, with Ascap registration code. I think "Your" has been added to the title for the 'Remixed & Revisited' occasion, if I'm not wrong.
