From Ricardo Gómezomez's instagram... Photo section?? To promote madame x tour...??

everytime Madonna posts something about the release is always "on-stage"  footage.... i mean... she showed like 10 videos already and 100% of it has been from the show... if it was a new docu i think at least something would have been from behind the scenes (and surely black and white). Anyway this i just said could mean nothing but i think it's a point

Wouldn't read too much into "Documentary". That's how Ariana Grande's show was described, and it was the full Sweetener concert with a few backstage clips. If I recall correctly, the Rebel Heart Tour was similarly described.

It's just an opinion, I hope madame x tour" is similar to this edition of celine dion's blu ray, the camera direction, editing, angles... it's so perfect for me, you don't even see the cameras... I cross my fingers to make it something like Madonna's work.

Hi Guys, 
I'm afraid M wont release the DVD soon, so, I decided to take matters in my own hand. This is what I've created so far. I know it's not perfect and it certainly is not even close to being finished. I just wanted to upload it to Youtube so that you get an idea of what I'm trying to produce. I was thinking about continuing with Come Alive or Frozen (still undecided but right now the last part is where she explains the lyrics for Come Alive)

So time proved me right and the film is edited exactly as I described months ago...

It sure takes a lot of time to choose between all the instagram filters to apply on the final cut...

Here I am   And i never said they were completely done, I said they were in final post production stages 
You might not know this, but editing & post production is not just selecting camera angles   The show has been put together and Madonna herself aproveed the last workprint presented to her, that's why she posted a speed up version of it on her instagram (Yes, that's the cut we're gonna get  ) Now they have to finish processing the film. Of course post production was put on hold because of covid, and resumed in a later time. The proyect is still on and the film will be released, there are contracts to fullfill. As Madonna said, she's very happy with how the film is resulting.

I mean... if you look closely at the released footage there are hints to how much they've done so far. And I would say they are further along than she alluded to in the Facebook Live video. 
 
All the footage was in order of setlist. Seems like they've already got their angles and the whole show mapped out. 
There are also various effects already added to parts of the show to enhance or fix what didn't translate in a certain shot for the screen. 
We got two shots being blended together in Frozen. We got Lourdes superimposed on Madonna at a specific angle that could not have been achieved with just camera work in Frozen. We have text superimposed over her boyfriend in the opening scenes so you can still read the words when they use a close up of him. Some sort of movement special effect in Dark Ballet. Black and White filter on IDSIF. And what seems to possibly be a red filter on Vogue. And that's just the small bits we can see so far. 
I know what her wording was in the Facebook Live, but I don't think they are "just beginning" editing.

I don't get why some of you keep thinking this is cancelled. The tour ended a few months ago, she literally said they're just back at the editing since the pandemic put that on hold. The previous tours dvds were released very late, so this situation is not different than what we are used to. She will release this dvd.

It won’t be four years Til her next record. I expect something late next year early 2022. With this huge gap in Her schedule for Covid she’ll be eager to get in with things and the house will feel much quieter when the kids are back to school / homeschooling. 
The script will be one thing but even just going back through her career will trigger memories or she’ll see ideas she forgot about in the diaries. 
I can imagine her actually doing a record about her life journey. Her version of a greatest hits if you will.
