Bjonkers reacted to scamper in MADONNA AND WARNER MUSIC GROUP ANNOUNCE MILESTONE, CAREER-SPANNING PARTNERSHIP!!
I think the same... For the first re-release I think the best thing would be start with a hit album full of hits. For  the general public the 80's were the best Madonna. So fans will buy "Erotica", "I'm Breathless" but for the general public they need something big to start. I think "Like a virgin" has it all. You can add songs like "Crazy for you", "Gambler" and "Into The Groove" as recordings of that era. Add demos of unreleased songs like "Warning signs", "Desperately seeking Susan" or even "Sidewalk Talk" sang by her and demos of the released songs. If I'm not wrong Nile Rodgers made some remixes for the singles that never were released... Add to all of it a Blu-ray with all the official videos, performance of Like a virgin from Japan, or MTV or TOTP with "The Virgin Tour" (and if it was possible the Keith Haring Paradise Garden celebration with "Like a virgin" and "Dress you up") and I'm sure all the fans would be incredibly happy (Well, not all, I'm sure some would be like "I hate it, is all wrong as always").
What I don't want is a limited pre-order like the "Finally Enough Love". That day was impossible to me to make a pre-order and it's ok if you see that all the copies were bought by fans but when you see one person selling two or three copies with very explensive prices is like "Why? I'm a fan, I want to give my money to Madonna, not the resellers". So better a "Pre-order from this day to this one" without having a limit of copies.

The script doesn't necessarily need to go in sequence. For example, if the story is being told from a modern day standing point, it could zone in on certain episodes of her career via anecdotes/flashbacks as befit the narrative. A chronological biopic could run out of time by 1985 if you're to fit in all of the Lower East Side stuff from the 70s and early 80s.
I'd actually really love a movie based on just that period of her life, exploring her relationships with family members, Dan Gilroy, Keith Haring, Basquiat and the hustle to get a record deal. Basically, I'd love a movie of pre-Madonna. Something like Downtown '81.

Los Javis are Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, two Spanish directors.
They have kinda like a modern Pedro Almodóvar style. They directed in 2020 the biopic series of La Veneno (a key transexual icon in Spain) and Madonna loved it so much she called them and met them in London.
If the biopic turns into a series... then we win. But I still think it will be a Hollywood movie.

As I say every time the same damn people start slinging mud at her for being herself and daring to show it, your commentary says a whole lot more about your own projections and psychological insecurities than it does about her. Yet here we are again... are you going to keep repeating the same dreary arguments until she dies? Coz she ain't changing who she is one little iota.

Madonna went many times to Stockholm while they were making Confessions to work on the documentary with Jonas, so she probably met Abba during one of her trips.

Bjonkers reacted to Blue Jean in Madonna announcing tour rumors?
Janet plays to half full stadiums with entire sections curtained off. Her perceived “popularity” is all smoke and mirrors. When she played glastonbury the crowd was half empty. In Australia she played at some horrible rnb festival with Craig David and black eyed peas and it was the same scenario. Nothing against Janet, I love Janet but she is not more popular than Madonna.
Cher they were discounting tickets to $30 when she came here. A far cry from Madonna’s average price a few years prior.
Dolly I have no idea about but she’s a totally different genre and audience to Madonna so not even worth comparing.
Mariah was a laughing stock only 3-4 years ago. She’s turned her reputation around with the ongoing success of a Christmas song but she’s not exactly selling out arenas around the globe either. Aside from her Vegas shows last I remember she was a support act for Lionel Ritchie.
This idea that Madonna is loathed and that all these other women are riding high seems distorted to me.

The fact that they didn't link Material Girl and Like A Virgin with their identical album versions which are already in her top 10 is a bit of a f-up in my opinion. Would have been an easy way to bump streams and draw the kids into the full compilation...

Yes, new vocals. You needed to change the vocal inflections from the original version in order to make it work on a dance track. I believe Emilio Estefan oversaw the project with Gloria's regular remix crew.

Perhaps Causing A Commotion is going to be the name of the biopic and she's saving it for then... I refuse to believe she hates it that much.
