Y'all be rejoicing that they're no longer together, but seem to forget the fact that she'll have another 25 year old on her arm before long as has been the pattern since her divorce in 2008.

Still surprised at some of the nasty comments here... I shouldn't be anymore but hey.
If this is real, I just hope she's OK.

Anyone can perform a cover of another person's song in a live setting. The writers of the song receive a performance royalty. Filing a setlist with the relevant authority in each country is one of the jobs of a tour manager.
However, to release a an altered recording of someone else's song requires legal permission. In the case of LDLHA, it wasn't a straight up recording of the performance it was intermixed with Heartbreak City which meant they would have had to negotiate who got what percentage of the song... Clearly a % cut wasn't agreed amongst the lawyers.
The 2009 MJ medley thing is slightly different in that they did a mash up of the original MJ recordings of the songs which would have been a nightmare to untangle legally and divvy up, so I guess they just left it.

Leatherdale was the boyfriend of Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989), worked with him and went on to establish himself as a fine-arts photographer renowned for his portraiture and works documenting religious figures in India.
"I only photographed Madonna once, I was set to photograph Martin Burgoyne and he asked me if I would shoot his good friend and roommate, as well. He told me that Madonna was about to put out her first record. We listened to the songs 'Holiday' and 'Borderline' on a cassette. They both came to my studio together. I dressed her in my jean vest. She was quiet and easy to photograph. The next evening, I was having my 30thbirthday dinner at Club A and invited Martin and Madonna. Madonna sat next to Andy Warhol and Andree Putman. Andy asked me who she was, I told him that she was an upcoming singer. 'Greaaat,' said Andy. She was very, again, quiet and left early. She and Martin gave me an AstroBoy robot for a birthday gift. Of course, Madonna must have been career driven, she would have to have been. Very focused, I respect that."

Releasing multiple versions a few weeks apart gets her more followers and listeners than one single because each new release gets in people’s Release Radar playlist.
I know all the Frozen remixes are boring for fans but there is a smart strategy behind it.

As a music biz professional for 20 years, I'm far from the blind stan you assume me to be. It's just lateral perspective actually. What you consider to be mediocre decisions, are usually well placed business decisions - whether you agree with them or not, whether you understand them or not. Things go on in the background all the time which influence the pace of things that people don't see. Sometimes it's a timing thing, sometimes financial, sometimes for personal reasons. Particularly at the 40 year mark in someone's career where she is undoubtedly catching up with the speed of industry changes these days, but she also has a large family, a large entourage, multiple properties to oversee etc etc. You can't turn a heavy cargo ship around in 1 turn of the wheel without causing damage, but overall her team have made great strides since the tide changed in 2020.
She'll have her hugely successful victory lap in due course. It's coming. But if you think that building her streaming profile is a mediocre decision then your focus is too narrow.

She's been living there for a few months now, maybe since around September when the kids went back to school I think. It seems very LA for her, big and spacey, not her usual quirky tastes. Quite beige by her standards which I always found a bit puzzling. Why would she change tastes like that. So maybe it was always with the intention of flipping it. Or maybe she didn't like the neighbours.
Her London and NYC homes have always been very colourful. Lots of blues and purples.

Madonna is looking to make a tidy profit!
Just a year after purchasing a 12,547-square-foot Hidden Hills mansion from The Weeknd, the pop icon is putting the property back on the market and listing it for $25.995 million –– a $6.695 million increase.
Madonna, 63, closed the deal on the home last April, paying $19.3 million to the Canadian singer, 32, who had bought it for $18.2 million in 2017.
