LAP, EY, YOU CAN DANCE, all were shep productions just as KIT was.  All are exceptional in my book.  Sorry, you can't say the same.  Your loss! 

M Inc has dropped the ball when it comes to remixes over the last decade, that I can agree with. 

Yet Keep It Together remixes are like going to the Bar Mitzvah of the cool kid in school and expecting M to pop out of the disco ball, yet all you get is an Aunt doing an impersonation.

You said it!  While there were some great remixes beyond the 80's, but nothing beats those 80's mixes.  They were remixed, but not chopped to pieces and turned into something different.  Like many of the remixes these days. 

In the 80s, the remixes were pretty much enhanced and/or extended versions of the album versions... or dubs, and I love that. The Like a Prayer remixes alone pretty much shit on many off her remixed efforts over the past 20 years

Even back in 90 when I first heard the KIT remix, it was a major let down.
