I think her entrance with Candy Shop during the Sticky & Sweet here in Chile after 25 years. Her first concert ever in this country... the roar in the audience was immense. The platform elevating at the end of the catwalk during Vogue. People were in awe. I felt like I was part of a movie. She totally makes you feel things
Her walk during Holy Water with the sexy nuns behind her was also great. That was the first time I actually saw her face during Rebel Heart. Love Don't Live Here Anymore was a nice surprise as well. Like A Virgin was totally fun... the choreography reminded me of her performances back in 1984 at Solid Gold/Top Of The Pops. Just her, alone.
For Madame X I think the best moments were Vogue in the shortened version of the show. When she appeared behind the curtain after the Madame X manifesto and the What are you looking at? line  Killers Who Are Partying was beautifully done too! When they hanged the LGBTQ flag at the end for I Rise was a powerful moment and people lifting their fists is something I will never forget.

To be on the safe side, I ordered 2 picture discs because I had no luck with the FEL box from Canada last year because I never received it.
Now my order from the Warner store in Australia is being returned because it cannot be imported to Germany and the one from the US store is on its way to the Netherland Post for whatever reason, I hope they can find me in Germany. At least today I'm getting the AL Holographic sleeve that doesn't fit as a consolation 😅

Yeah, Rebel Heart in Glasgow was magical. It was also a special night for me cause my sister and I surprised our parents with tickets and saw the show as a family. Had a blast.
Being in the Golden Triangle for MDNA in Edinburgh was out of this world. I think the date before that one had a lot of technical difficulties so she pretty much rehearsed the full show with us in the triangle.
Madame X at the Palladium in London. It was magical - I was absolutely mesmerised from start to finish.

madgefan got a reaction from mr00mister in Let's talk about Hard Candy!
I know everybody has mixed up feelings about this record...  I would add:

The frigging face! 2008 marked the beginning of a series of face transformations that would carry on til these days... I can completely understand some percentage of her audience was totally turned off by it. "Is that Madonna?"

These two guys's overwhelming presence was too much. "Where is the independent Madonna that used to ignore duets and featurings?"

Tick tock tick tock tick tock. "Really Queen?" Hung Up (2005) was already a kind of rehash of Gwen Stefani's What You Waiting For? (2004) so why continue with the same thing in 2008!?

Although it was Madonna last studio album under Warner's supervision, I think they really did a good thing promoting 4 Minutes and Give It 2 Me on the radio. In Latinamerica they were played everywhere and I can easily say that non-fans acknowledge Madonna is the one singing them. Miles Away is a whole different story: No one knows it's her, no one knows it's a single, and no one knows it's got its own video.

Album tracks that could have saved the project if they had been released as singles: Beat Goes On and She's Not Me, however the sole fact they weren't even included in the Promo tour was quite evident. Madonna's priority was Candy Shop which ironically is the only Hard Candy track she would play in the following tours leaving the whole fanbase wondering why

On a positive note, I think the album is great on its own. It is well balanced and sounds pretty cohesive. The tracks did not sound very original at the time of its release as it was too late considering the Timberlake/Timbaland peak was 2007. Had it been released in 2013 at the same time Daft Punk was scoring a #1 with Get Lucky, our Madonna could have gained more recognition.
