steady75 got a reaction from captainjay in Never forget this moment!
My entire heart jumped into my mouth and the world stopped for a second.
It physically hurt me to watch that happen. I’ve never wanted to throw my arms around her more….and I just knew because of the lyrics people would think it was a set up.
she did the damn thing.
but I do wonder if this was the beginning of the knock on her confidence at performing live. It can take one major event to throw you off something you’ve been doing for years especially when you think your life is at risk. People who have car crashes are often prone to more accidents afterwards through lack of confidence at the wheel etc.
I thought she was agonna. Broke her back or something.
An absolute hero

But she is obsessed with the pop art graffiti vibe. I get that she loves the Basquiat touch but you can't use it in everything and for everything.
When I was approached to do some work for Guy he wanted the Warhol/Pop art and graffiti style. And I heard of other creatives that were asked similar branding.
It gets worst because at the moment that's all done in basic editing apps on the phone. And it shows with the patchy crafty results. It can work for social media but I'm not sure how it will translate into a physical item. I'm expecting low resolution printing.

Honestly I just want
An Immaculate Recollection
for a forthcoming greatest hits. That brand is too iconic and would just further add to the certifications.
like… do what you want with the cover but keep the logo and branding and font etc. Four disc boxset
Four individual CD’s to buy.. whatever. Just bring it around again. She’ll never do anything better. The Royal / Religious aspect is so perfect for her.
Unless they make an absolutely stunning collection like the mock ups we saw around the time of celebration. Some of those were breathtaking.
Finally Enough Love looks cheap as hell and she already did that vibe with Celebration.
I’d really like some beauty rather than pop art personally. Obviously not right for a remix collection but for a future greatest hits around the biopic. Give me class mutha.

Mmmmmm
If I could top the chart
Frozen will be the start
Remixes, one, two, three
The fourth will be the key
Now there's no point in placing the blame
All of the mixes, they sound the same
Fuck it, they'll do
Leaves my fans heartbroken
Love is a bird, she needs to fly
When did my creativity die?
I'm frozen
What rappers can I rope in?

it's quite amazing how many photoshoots she's done over the past two years for instagram and we ended up with a zoom in on her facetuned face in black and white and the Celebration Rehash.
The BBQ Photoshoot could have easily have been used for a dance collection. Hell even my avatar at the moment is more interesting.

Yeah these things always have edits. I cannot see a nearly 7 minutes version of anything being included.

steady75 reacted to PlayPause in "God Control" on NOW That's What I Call Pride (4CD) 2022!!
The song was written after the Pulse attack (Orlando, 50 people killed by a homophobic terrorist) and the video is very obvious on the LGBTQIA+ references so yes, it's a Pride track.
Not every "pride song" has to be about putting your hands in the air and vogueing like your life depends on it.
Some sense and commitment is good too.

So true. A 2005 remix of a Depeche Mode song was my entrée into their incredible discography.

I didn’t hugely know about Blondie until the remix campaign in 94 I think it was. Union City Blue / Atomic and Heart of Glass. By the time I was a proper Music buyer Blondie had long since split up. Those Diddy remixes along with the Rollo Mix of Donna Summers I Feel Love properly introduced me to Blondie and Donna Summer and now I know everything about their music and journey and absolutely Stan.
Do I still Play the remixes I bought? No. Do I still play all the songs I discovered through that remix? Absolutely. Do not underestimate the power of a remix as a window to an entire new generation of fans who use it as a stepping stone.
i literally only bought that Blondie remix because it was a Diddy remix and I loved their dance track Give Me Love.

That was a nice little interview. She sounds a bit like old Madonna there. Cute
