She’s oversaturated herself,  Instagram has become a career killer for her unfortunately.

Nah.... the problem is us and I mean that in a way that is more tangible than it sounds.  We live in a very instantaneous world.  I ordered a 65 inch TV last night and I have already checked the delivery status this morning at 6am.  It is out for delivery... but it is the first thing that I looked at this am.  We want things "right now" as if a turn around time of twenty hours is too much.  Madonna is attempting to give us a bit of the instanteous in her posts. "This is happening right now". I prefer pics and videos of her thoughts and ideas to three and four year blackouts.

Also, Madonna is indeed taking and posting a lot of photos lately but many people of all ages post obsessively about lots of things.  It is not a "teenager" thing.  Madonna is an artist.  Her brain is wired like an artist.  Whe she feels inspired, she wants to create.  The posts are part of the process.  Instagram is a new artform.  She is expressing herself through a newly discovered (for her) media.  Instagram offers both personal and professional marketing for the 2020's.

One last thing, it is a very competitive world.  People move on to the next thing very quickly.  All social media users move on to the next topic... the next fad... the next discovery... the next star.  Without new posts, people stop looking.  Why check an Instagram account if it is not continuously updated?  Look at her website... I never go there as it never changes.  I do check her Instagram regularly see what is cooking.  I actually like the fact that she posts.  Every post cannot be an official announcement.  It just can't be.  Instagram is an instant shot of something happening in the now.  It offers a connection, especially for a person that cannot just walk in to a crowd.  Fame comes with a lot of isolation.  Especially at Madonna's level.

    Just some thoughts.

Following her pattern of releases, she'll probably not include all her 50 #1 and even stick some non #1 tracks. She does have a story of not being coherent with her projects. And it will probably better for it since all these #1 tracks don't really blend well together.

Technically, she could still celebrate the 50#1s with the inclusion of some of the hits, outside of the number ones.  Everybody, instead of Argentin, etc?  I am also wondering what her plan is.

Hard to believe a crappy frozen remix has derailed the re-issue campaign im so annoyed ??

I kinda wish she would just release the remaining unreleased remix singles but I understand that she is trying to maximize the streaming.  If we got one every week, it would still take a lot of weeks.  Those mixes need to be on streaming platforms.

Here is a list of what "I think" we might see. By "new edit" I mean Mike Dean might edit or enhance the original 12". The other noted edits already exist (I think) but might also be enhanced? Obviously I have insomnia and my fingers are cut & paste crazy in lockdown. These are the dance mixes I like best (from those maxis that have a selection), maybe you have a different one?

    50. Frozen (Madonna Vs. Sickick Remix) [Feat. Sickick & Swae

No Argentina?  What.....?  I am having serious doubts about that scenario.   I am guessing that Holiday and Lucky Star will both be included with Holiday replacing the You Can Dance LP cut..   I also think that Angel will be cut, leaving Into the Groove from that double entry.   That would leave 50.  Of course, a You can dance megamix would work too.  Edits are fine but I will slap a bitch if we get a 4 Minutes edit that is shorter than four minutes.  Haha.  It makes no sense (Hello Celebration compilation).

Im really happy that Madonna is back with Warner also, Interscope did not treat her legacy well at all. Michael Jackson estate has already run out of stuff to put out because MJ was not very prolific. Prince estate could release an already finished album that he threw in the vault every year for the next 500 years and this is not including all the unreleased videos  demos and songs he never put on an album. Supposedly there are something like 8,000 unheard tracks at Paisley Park. Prince basically wrote more music in one year than most artists do in their entire careers. Anyone who thinks Michael Jackson was even half the songwriter Prince was are either ignorant or stupid. The fact that Madonna has always been prolific and active her entire career is also something I really like about being a fan of hers.

I agree with all of this 99% but want to highlight that Interscope had no control or stake in Madonna's legacy.   Warner  cotrolled that and probably could have acted on everything from Celebration backwards but chose not to engage.  I am not an insider ir expert..... Maybe it was M's choice???  But the engagement was definitely there.

  6. Madonna had to leave Warner for herself.  It was a dysfunctional relationship at the time and the label was becoming too controlling.  Madonna needed to explore artistically in directions that Warner would not allow and was finally given a chance to breathe through the separation.  It seems that they missed her and are ready to treat her better and willing to embrace her legacy.  She appears eager to be back as well.  I enjoyed the Interscope years artistically, but am glad that her catalog will all be under one roof again soon.  I was worried about compilations being produced by multiple companies.  That would be such a mess.  I am also thrilled that she will control her reissues and not her estate.  Prince and Michael Jackson's families have let greed rule the day rather than artistry.

This exact compilation of remixes of her club hits is what many fans here have been asking for for years!
In terms of a new GH/compilation it’s what most of her fans want, yes…

And there’s many DJs that are brilliant musicians and truly legendary.

We are all hoping for deluxe reissues and tour releases. And we’ll get those as well eventually

M could be multitasking.  Who's to say that she is not secretly composing Madonna 40 or Erotica 30?  All she needs is Mike Dean and her masters.  Sure, bonus material wiill need a bit if work but that could mostly done by Dean, yes?  The remix collection actually seems tougher.... 50 songs to hand select, possibly edit, and remaster to make cohesive.  And if they are not chronological (which they should be).... oh boy!   Madonna have demonstrated on her compilations that tracklisting is not always to be chronological.

I can't understand the complain about this compilation, like what's the problem with it? :Madonna031: This is way better and more interesting than a traditional greatest hits or whatever. The album reissues will come #soon and this is a good thing to enjoy in the meantime while we wait, so just try to be happy for once my god :Madonna033:

    This!   Yayyyyyys!  Agreed.

we are going to be very lucky if we get anything physical, I am pretty certain its gonna be digital, which means I wont get anything to collect?

Obviously, I don't know but this project is celebrating a monumental milestone and is definitely in line with the back catalog, Warner announcement.  We might get a physical release.

i agree - maybe swap animal for heatbeat too

I want expanded not swapped songs.  The omissions on Like a Prayer 30 were unforgivable.  Like A Prayer (dedicated to her mother who taught her to pray) without the song about her mother or the prayer?  That was insane.

Heartbeat is one of my favorite songs on Hard Candy.  And Spanish Lesson was amazing live.  I want expansions to explore the history, not rewrite it.
