Rain gotta be next with Fever Edit one. Bad Girl (edit), Rain (Video edit) and Waiting remix. Please.

After the True Blue 35 release I feel soo underwhelmed. I realised I really am only excited about the single EP release of her older songs and tacking the remixes on to the end of an album brings me no joy.
…but who knows. We eventually got the Like A Prayer And Express Yourself EP’s on streaming after the 30th anniversary.

unlikely  though as there ain’t many more mixes.

Respectfully, I disagree.  The True Blue 35th Anniversary is great.  I am streaming the heck out of it and even purchased from Amazon Music.  This is what should have happened with Like a Prayer 30.  It is amazing.  Good sound and very comprehensive. Love the art, love the full album being left intact and love the addition of the nine bonus tracks.  Like a Prayer 30, underwhelmed me but True Blue 35 is on the mark.

  2. Queen was included on the official tracklisting on Madonna.com, for quite awhile, even after the album was officially released.  I wonder what ever happened to the song's inclusion on the record?  Obviously, the plan was for it to be in the official tracklisting but something changed and quite late in the game.  It was a great song, arguably better than many of the songs that were included.  Does anybody have any insight or theories?  Just wondering about this glaring omission.

  3. It took me by surprise but I adjusted.  My first impression was that it was the least Madonnaesque album in her discography but soon the demos came out and I enjoyed it more and more as the vision unfolded further.  Pharell needed to be utilized more.  Love my own version of Hard Candy Deluxe!  It flows well for me and adds to the excitement.

  4. The True Blue 35th Anniversary Edition is so much better than the 30th Anniversary Like a Prayer Edition where they left off Promise to Try , (a song about her mother, the person that the album is dedicated to) and the "prayer", Act of Contrition as well as the omissions of the album tracks.  TB 35  is wonderful.

shes a shell of the artist i used to love and admire - i really think its time to hang up her cape. that boom boom performance pretty much scuppered any respect i had for her :(((

i think Madame X dvd will be the last project i will take any interest in

Wow.  That is quite an assessment from a mere spectator.

  6. If Madonna quit today, oh what a ride it has been.  From Madonna through Madame X....  From Everybody through I Don't Search I Find.... From the Virgin Tour through The Madame X Tour...  The incarnations... The reinventions... The risks... The high art...  The messages... And especially, the music.

No other singer has offered this much in under 40 years.  Yeah, she is eccentric.... yeah, she is incorrigible.... yeah, she is maddening at times but Madonna is truly special.  She is a rebel heart... she is a revolutionary... she is a creamy pop and rock goddess... she is Iconic and she is in a league of her own.

I cannot imagine pop music in 2021 without her as the ultimate archetype.   The music and presentation that we enjoy today from most other artists is in part a tribute to the Queen Mother herself.   Her early prayers breathed life into a hollowed industry and a narrowing world.

She took a lot of risks and put her personal life on hold just to love on some of us that were receiving very little love.  She offered us pride and took so many punches for those of us who could take no more.  She has been fighting the Killers Who are Partying since her beginning and seems to never tire.  Madonna has been the most resilient light in a world that is often covered in darkness.  She expressed herself when we could not.

If Madonna quit today... My heart would break a little but I would relish in all that she has given us.  For me, she would move forward, even if she disappeared entirely.  Truly, she is part of me.  She is part of us.  She carries so many of our beautiful scars.  Her ultimate message is that we will never be alone on her watch and I love her for that devotion and sacrifice.

The Beast Within me actually thanks the Powers that Be every day for the privilege that this journey has been.  If Madonna quit today, I would find myself a little lost but I would always have a part of her inside of me.  That is her gift to me, to you and to us.  Madonna will always make the people come together.  That has been her mantra since day one and she has never strayed from that promise.

If Madonna were to quit today, we would still be blessed beyond measure.   That is what I want people to think about.  The accolades will die but her contribution will never dissolve.  Long live the Queen.

  7. All the Boston shows were cancelled so I missed the show.  I am so excited that the show will be broadcast soon  that I ordered the Tour program from the UK.  It made it here in record time.  I have never ordered anything from her official site that came so fast.  I cannot wait to unbox it.

Let's be honest, look at her official video channel on YT. Do you really believe they will release something decent? After the mess they did with Celebration, I definitely prefer they do nothing.

I would love a remixed compilation of her 50 number one dance  songs but, you are right, nothing good is to come of it.  Celebration was such a mess.  The video and cd collection.  Way too many omissions.  Bizarre mixes and the tracklist order (all over the place).  And so many frigging possibilities.

    It's apples and oranges.

She is a white heterosexual woman who kissed two other heterosexual women at the MTV Awards.

He is a black homosexual man who kissed another black homosexual man at an awards show for a segment of music that is notoriously homophobic.

Madonna did it when there was not 70% approval inthe US for same sex marriage.  Madonna did it before we had a US President turn the White House rainbow.  Madonna did it while Pride was sponsored and supported  by alcohol and condom manufacturers only. Madonna did it when the Supreme Court had not protected LGBTQ workers.  Madonna did it when gay people were a frigging punchline in American media.   Madonna did it when no other mainstream artist was doing it (justify my love honey).  She did do it first as far as live TV goes.  She doesn't have to be a ga6 man to matter.  She used her voice first.
